Synopsis
Dating a rising film star is exciting, but the stakes of living in the public eye could leave both of them wondering if love is worth the risk.
Brotherhood historian Casper Penhurst has always lived in the past and his own mind, and he's felt invisible because of it. He's been passed over for his dream job of teaching at a major university and rejected by literary agents one too many times because of it. Now he's working as an on-set consultant for the After the Wartelevision production, but he might as well be one of the props for all the attention people pay to him.
Then rising superstar Sawyer Kingston smashes into his life—literally—and brings Casper out of the shadows and into celebrity chaos.
Sawyer has always felt like his sexuality is his own business, but with his celebrity star suddenly rocketing to the stratosphere, everyone wants to know if he's really gay or if he's faking it. The only thing Sawyer is interested in is captivating Casper and the way the shy historian makes him feel so good about himself. But as someone who considers himself borderline ace, Sawyer worries he won't be enough…for Casper or for the voracious public expectations of what a superstar should be.
