A young man with dreams of his own leaves them behind to finish raising the two little boys left behind after their parents’ deaths.

Instead of mourning his mother or living the dream he’d had since he was a little boy, Gabriel stepped up to take care of his two brothers, both underage. It wasn’t easy, especially since Brandon was traumatized and acting out from losing his parents.

He takes the boys to see Santa at the mall. While waiting in line, he has time to reflect. Gabriel wasn’t one to feel sorry for himself, but he missed the things he felt he’d never have.

Out of the mouths of babes.

Brandon tells Santa that he should bring Gabriel a job for Christmas.

And…Santa grants his wish.

Santa was really Alan Martinez, head of an art consortium. Gabriel knew nothing about art, but the man was so welcoming, so pumped to have Gabriel on board that he takes the job and hopes he can make sure Alan never regrets his decision.

Alan Martinez is a people watcher. As an artist, he sees more than most people and he sees so much in the young man juggling two young boys and the death of his beloved mother.

What starts as a helping hand becomes so much more, and when he asks what Gabriel wants for Christmas, Alan knows he’s the only one who can give him his heart’s desire.
