Chapter 6
The natural daylight from the windows and her phone alarm woke Candi from her peaceful slumber. Realizing she was sprawled out on top of Jay made her morning coochie pulse. Feeling his morning wood, she couldn't help but grind herself over him.
After her bath, he dried her and dressed her in one of his big shirts and a pair of boxer briefs. Meaning there was little fabric between her pussy and his dick at the moment. The friction she created had her on the cusp of exploding. Candi picked up the pace, chasing a high she knew would be worth it.
It felt so good that Jay woke up. His hands went to her hips. "Fuck," he mumbled, just as turned on as her.
"Just let me get this, Jayshun. Please." Candi's voice shook at the explosion building up. "Oh." She pushed out her puffy morning lips.
Jay caught them and kissed them with aggression. He didn't care about their morning breath. His only concern was giving Candi what she needed. He allowed her to grind on his dick even though he wanted to be inside her. The hunching was going to give him blue balls.
"Whatever you want, Magic." His fingers slipped under the shirt she had on and caressed her sides.
Candi tucked her face in the crook of his neck, while her orgasm rocked her core. Her teeth sunk into his neck and a growl from her belly erupted. Heavy breathing subsided and she pushed her embarrassed face into him more.
"Nah, don't be ashamed." Jay laughed, his dick still at full attention. He wanted to be inside her so bad that it hurt. Tapping her on the thigh, he alerted her to rise.
"What you gonna do about that?" Candi licked her lips when he stood up, pointing his erect dick in her face.
"Shit, what I know how to do." He shrugged before his feet padded to the bathroom. Jay had every intention of beating his dick to relieve himself.
Once what Jay had implied hit Candi, she jumped up, following him. "Wait." She had to catch herself from falling with how fast she was moving. "I can handle that for you," she suggested, stumbling over herself.
Jay ignored her as he turned the shower on.
"You hear me?" Candi sounded winded and desperate.
Removing a bottle of lube, he removed his loose-fitting pajama pants. With his back to her, Candi admired his muscles and the extension of his tattoos. His body looked like a Chipotle bag colored in. When he stepped into the shower, she followed him, not caring about her hair or the clothes on her body.
Standing before him, looking like a desperate fool, Candi offered herself up once again. "You can have me, Jayshun."
"Sit right there on that bench." Jay faced her. The water ran down his back as he squirted a good amount of the clear liquid into the palm of his right hand. "Prop your legs up and play in your pussy for me. That's what you can help me with."
Sucking in as much air as possible, she obliged his request after she'd removed her wet clothes. The shower was steaming up from it also being a sauna. Her quick weave wasn't going to stand a chance. The thought of her hair being ruined was nowhere in her mind.
"Sss…" Jay winced when he gripped the base of his dick before his hand inched up slowly. His deep brown eyes roamed her face before traveling down her body. "Let me see how pink it is, Magic."
Candi's teeth sunk into her lip. Twirling her finger inside her hole, she used her juice as a lubricant. Her middle and ring fingers twirled around her already swelling clit. Using those same two fingers, she spread herself open for him to see.
Jay started to stroke himself faster, with thoughts of ravaging her the way he was desperate to do. "You gotta open that shit up for me, Candi. You see this thick muthafucka?" he spoke through gritted teeth. "Cum for me. Cum with me."
"Jayshun," Candi crooned, rubbing her sensitive bud over and over, chasing the nut that was building.
"I'm about to fuckin' explode." Jay didn't yell or scream but his deep desire for her was evident. "On your knees."
Candi scrambled to do as she was told. With her mouth open and her hand still playing with her juicy pussy, she assumed the position to taste him.
The sight of her pretty ass on her knees with her mouth wide was a visual he wanted to see for the rest of his life. After a few more strokes, he released all over her face. There was so much nut, it dripped down her neck and onto her milk chocolate titties. Jay didn't stop stroking until he had it all out. "Damn," he grunted, looking down at her.
Yanking her to her feet, he placed her under the waterfall shower head to wash away his kids. Once she was clean, he kissed her so deep and passionately, it took her breath away. "I don't think I'm going to let you go for real now."
"Who said I wanted to leave?" Candi didn't even recognize her voice. She was so used to being one of the niggas with a smart mouth. But since she'd met Jay, she'd been nothing but soft—he made her want to be soft.
"Then don't," he demanded, before sucking her tongue back in his mouth.
The two of them washed each other's bodies until their skin wrinkled. They played and laughed while doing it. Being together felt so natural but neither of them said it out loud for fear of sounding crazy.
"I gotta go home, Jayshun." Candi was once again sitting on his polished concrete island while he moved around the kitchen.
His brows folded down. "What happened to all that shit you just said in the shower? You were high on lust?"
"No. What I'm saying is, I have work and I have an appointment with my therapist."
"Okay, why you gotta go home for that?"
"Because," she huffed, looking for the words. "Wait, you didn't even ask me what I see a therapist for."
"That's your business and I can kinda read between the lines. I ain't a dumb nigga, Magic."
Every time he called her Magic, her body shook. "And you don't feel no way?"
Before he could respond, her phone started to ring.
Seeing that it was Drama probably calling her to make sure she remembered to get on the Zoom with her therapist, she answered. "Yea?"
"Aye, why you ain't been answering?" Drama huffed from the other end of the phone. This was his third call to her, and after about an hour, she was finally answering.
"Nigga, I'm grown," Candi sassed with a smile on her face.
Jay listened intently. The voice he heard was that of a man and he knew damn well Candi wasn't trying to play with his intelligence.
Drama huffed to calm himself down. "You sound good. You good?"
"Mhm," she hummed, nodding her head as if he could see her. Her eyes went to Jay, making her smile even bigger. "I'm good, Drama."
"Where you at anyway?" Drama inquired. She heard in his voice how on edge he was.
Candi sighed. "I'm not high. I haven't had anything that could get me high if that's what you're asking. I'm good, for real."
"Denim! No, ma-ma. Put it—" Drama fussed at her niece, who seemed to get into everything.
She snickered. "That girl is bad as hell," she commented.
"When you gon' come fuck with us, Candi? Your sister misses you, man." He'd asked the same question and made the same claim the last time he was on the other end of her phone.
Her eyes danced around the room. Jazze was still a sore spot for her. She was still working out the details of the relationship with her big sister in therapy. Jazze had done nothing to her yet there was still some resentment. She thought she was ready to move forward with their engagement but as time went on, Candi realized she still needed to do some work.
"You still coming to the wedding, though, right?" Drama changed the subject when Candi went quiet on him.
There was no hesitation in her voice when she confirmed, "Hell yes. I wouldn't miss that for the world. Kiss my nieces for me and tell Jazze I love her so much."
"Or you could just tell her," Drama suggested.
"Look, I gotta go. Love you, Dramarious." Candi ended the call with a heaviness in her heart. Her therapy session was needed. She wanted to work through her shit to get to a better place with her sister but it was hard.
Staring off into nothing, Candi was brought back when Jay placed his hand on her back. "Who was that?"
"My sister's fiancé."
His eyes squinted. "I need that to make sense. You love him?"
Her shoulders were hunched, and her face scrunched. "The story is long but I will say this. I was in a bad place last year, spiraling out of control. Pills were my drug of choice. Anyway, I was on them really bad. One night, I got so high—you know like the high when you have an epiphany? Anyway, I was down bad, called him and he saved my life." Candi's explanation seemed choppy.
"Why you call him and not your sister?" Jay had eavesdropped and heard a little of the conversation she just had. It was clear she had a sister who she seemed to once be close with.
Candi knew the answer she just didn't know if she wanted to expose herself so soon. Jay had made it clear that he was more than interested in her, but would he feel the same if he knew about her hoeish ways? Would he want to put his mouth on a woman who had so many miles on her pussy? In a fairytale world, the answer would be yes. However, her life had never been a fairytale. From the day she was born, she'd lived in a nightmare that was constantly on repeat.
She smoothed her messy weave down and looked around his loft. The view was the best one she'd ever seen and she'd flown on private jets with rich niggas. "Drama just means a lot to me and sometimes my sister is very judgmental—like, she don't understand why I was going through what I was going through. It creates pause for me. When I needed a hand, hers wasn't the one I would reach for."
"Because you fucked him?" Jay was no dummy. From the way she chose her words to the way she smiled when she answered the phone for Drama, he could tell there had been something there. Maybe the something was one-sided but it was something.
Standing to her feet, Candi paced. "At one point, yes. But it's not like that now. Plus, he's a different man than the one I knew when we were fuckin'."
"And the nigga with your sister?" Jay's frame towered over hers. Their height difference wasn't drastic but he was taller than her even if she wore heels. "And you think that nigga got love for you?"
"When you make it sound like that—"
"That's what it is though, Candi. I ain't trying to tell you what to do but I don't like that nigga." From the outside looking in, nothing about her friendship with Drama seemed to be healthy for her and Jay was willing to bet her therapist felt the same. "I know you feel indebted to him because he got you in rehab or whatever but I'm willing to bet he is one of the main reasons you ain't talking to your sister."
Fire danced in her eyes. "You don't know shit!" Listening to him read her like a book didn't feel good. Her irrational thoughts told her he was judging her and Candi hated feeling judged. "The fuck you know about my life? All you see is a bitch with easy pussy but you don't know why I don't think my love or body is special or sacred."
"That ain't what I said, though." Jay waved her off.
"Then what you saying, Jayshun?"
"It don't matter 'cause now you on the defense when you ain't got to do all that with me. Go ahead and get on your Zoom with your therapist."
"You trying to say I'm crazy?" Candi wasn't hearing anything he was saying. She had put two and two together to get a million.
Jay looked at her upside her head. This was what he was just implying. Something about Drama was a trigger for her and instead of seeing that for what it was, she put the trigger on her sister. If Drama hadn't pursued her sister after he'd done God knows what to Candi's body, Candi would still be in love with her sister. He was willing to bet, she replaced one obsession with the other.
Jay wasn't going to engage with her rage. He turned to walk away to give her time to cool down.
Jumping in front of him, his sweet Candi had turned sour. "Don't fuckin' walk away from me."
"Watch out, Candi." Jay tried to go around her but was stopped again by her. He could've easily gotten her out of his face but that wasn't the type of shit he wanted to be on with her. If they were going to build something, he needed her to understand he wasn't with all that aggression and putting hands on each other. His mama had raised him better than that.
"Oh, what happened to Magic? I ain't all whimsical and shit anymore, huh? You finally took off those rose-colored glasses, huh?" Her almond eyes were tight, like slits.
The skin on his face tightened as he tried his hardest to remain calm. Jay wanted to see things from Candi's point of view but he was drawing a blank. Her insecurities were more than he thought, and if he wasn't so invested, he would gladly walk away. But the healer in him wouldn't allow him to. That and the tiny voice in his heart pleading with him to see past the person she thought she was.
"I'm not 'bout to argue with you over a nigga I don't give a fuck about. I'm 'bout to hit up my Ma and let her know you ain't coming in today." Placing his hands on both of her arms, he leaned forward. Face to face, his eyes never wavered when he looked into hers. "I don't give a fuck about that nigga or any nigga that came before me. I also don't give a fuck about you being crazy. Get on your fuckin' call and calm the fuck down before I have to do it for you." He kissed her lips before she finally allowed him to walk away.
Feeling stupid, Candi just stood there until she heard him on the phone with Jolene. She listened to see if he said anything bad about her. When nothing was said, she went over to the couch to retrieve her phone to call Dr. Joy. She had a lot of shit to unpack.
