30. Melissa
Artemis’s POV
I woke up in one of Blake’s shirts. Blake was still asleep next to me with is arm slung around my waist.
I tried moving out of his grip but her would budge.
He frowned and whined. “Don’t go.”
He pulled me closer to his chest and muzzled his face in my neck.
“You don’t have to keep watching me every second of the day.” I pointed out. “It’s been a week.”
Yes, it’s been a weem since I told Blake about my pregnancy.
“I don’t care. You’re not leaving my side. Especially now.” He mumbled.
“At least let my start my day.”
“I have no meetings today, so you don’t have to.” I felt him smirk against my skin.
“Yes, but I want to go check on Gina. She has a doctors appointment today and I want to go with her.”
He pouted. “Fine. But I’m going in the shower with you.”
He got up off the bed and headed towards the shower in just his boxers. I sat up on the bed and raised an eye brow.
“You coming you not?”
I can practically hear the smirk in his voice.
He started the shower as I got up from the bed.

Xander’s POV
“Ooh bacon!” I was about to reach for a piece but Gina smacked my hand with a spatula.
I rubbed my hand and pouted at her. “Hey!”
‘You’re such a whiner.’ My wolf, Jack poppedup I my head.
‘Now that’s just rude.’ I replied.
“That bacon is mine.” Gina pulled me out of my thoughts.
“Because you’re carrying a child I will let you keep it.” I pecked her lips.
“Don’t touch me.”
Her emotions have been all over the place! Yesterday she was seducing me and now she wants me to stay away from her!
What the heck!?
“Alright, I’m sorry.” I leaned against the counter thinking to myself.
Why do janitors whistle like they like being a janitor?
Why is it that secret agents wear suites instead of sweatpants? It’s easier to move in them.
If my wolf is my wolf does that mean I’m human?
Will food get any tastier?
Why can kids just stay inside the lines while coloring? They’re there for a reason.
The word impatient, spells, ‘I’m patient.’
“Xander!” Gina yelled.
“What is it?” I looked at her.
There was a puddle of liquid next to her leg.
“What do you think is happening!? My water broke!”
My eyes widened. I picked her up bridal style and ran out to my car.
I sat her down on the passenger seat and drove as fast as I could to the hospital.
“I’m two weeks early! Get this child out of me!” She screamed.
“Don’t worry baby we’re almost there.”
As soon as we got to the hospital I picked up Gina and kicked down the doors.
“She’s going into labor help!” I yelled.
Doctors came rushing towards us.
I set Gina down on the gurney as they rushed her off into one of the emergency rooms.
When we got to the room the nurses hooked her up to machines and cut her pants.
A female doctor came rushing in. “I need you to push.”
~Time skip~
“Xander, Gina. Here’s your new baby girl.” The nurse came in holding my daughter in a pale pink blanket.
She handed her to Gina. Gina smiled down at our child.
“What should we name her?” I ask.
“Melissa?” Gina looked at me hopefully.
“It’s perfect.” I kissed Gina’s forehead as we paid out attention to our daughter.
Melissa stirred around until she opened her eyes. They were a bright blue bell like Gina’s.
“She looks just like you.” I pointed out.
Gina was about to respond until the door slammed opened.
“Where’s my niece!? Move!” Artemis hip bumped me, making me fall.
Melissa exploded in a fit of giggles.
“Aw look, ages already laughing at you.” Artemis smirked.
“Then she got her sense of humor from me.” I shot back as I got up from the ground.
Artemis rolled her eyes at me. “Hey cutie.”
“Thanks.” Blake came in.
“Not you, the baby.” She pointed out.
“Fine, be that way.” Blake scoffed.
I took my daughter in my arms.
“If she turns out anything like you, she’s going to need all the luck in the world.” Artemis cut in my moment.
“Way to ruin the moment.” I fake glared at her.
Jamie and Noah came rushing in with big smiles on their faces.
“How did it go?” Jamie asked.
“Everything went well. She was born a little early but the doctors said shell be fine.” Gina answered.
“Let me see her.” Artemis commanded.
“Don’t drop her.” I pleaded as I handed her Melissa.
“I won’t.” She rolled her eyes at me.
Melissa giggle as Artemis tapped her nose with her finger.
“She likes me more.” Artemis smirked.
I posted and crossed my arms over my chest.
“She likes me too.” I mumbled.
Melissa giggled at my reaction. My pout turned up to a smile.
Artemis passed Melissa over to Blake. Melissa hit Blake in the face with her little hand.
“I think she’d be a better warrior than Third in Command.” Blake nodded.
“No! I’m not putting her in danger. No.” I denied.
Melissa posted and cried.
My eyes widened. “Alright she can be a warrior.”
Melissa stopped crying and giggled.
“She’s already got you wrapped around her finger.” Gina joked.
Blake passed Melissa to Jamie. Jamie tickled her stomach and made jokes about me.
“Who’s an idiot? Your daddy! That’s who.”
I glared at her as melissa giggled.
Jamie passed Melissa to Noah. He was the only person who kept it normal!
Melissa was handed back to me. She smiled and placed her hand on my nose.
“We forgot to ask. What’s her name?” Artemis asked.
“It’s Melissa.” Gina answered
“A Mel and an Issa. Good choice.” Noah nodded.
We all laughed.
Melissa and Gina yawned at the same time.
“We’ll give you some time to rest.” Jamie said as they all left.
I placed Melissa in the cot. As soon as I laid her down she slowly drifted off to sleep.
Gina moved a little on her bed to give me space to lay down.
I laid down next to her and pulled her into my chest.
“I love you.” I told her.
“I love you too.” She responded as she yanked again.
“Go to sleep. I’ll wat over both of you.”
She nodded and slowly drifted off to sleep.
“Today our little warrior was born.” Gina mumbled in her sleep as she smiled.
I smiled her because she was right.
