Artemis’s POV

“Where is she!?” I heard a familiar voice scream.

I walked out of the closet and was met with an angry and worried Blake.

He relaxed when he saw me and pulled me into his chest.

“You are not leaving my side.” He stated.

“What if I have to pee?” I asked.

“If you take longer than five minutes then I come in there and get you.”

“What if I just want to be alone?”

“Then you’ll be alone with me.”

“You’re’ being dramatic.”

“No I’m not!” He said in a whiney voice.

I looked at him weirdly. “And apparently sensitive.”

He glared at me then picked me up bridal style. The threw me on the bed which resulted in me bouncing. He caught me before I fell off the bed.

“Don’t do that!” I yelled slightly.

He looked at me confused as he hovered above me.

I buried my face in my hands. “I’m sorry.”

He removed my hands from my face and pinned them above my head.

“What’s bothering you? You’ve been more moody than usual.” He asked.

‘Artemis, it’s time to tell him.’ Elise popped up in my head but was barley audible.

‘I’m worried. What if he doesn’t want it to happen.’

‘Then he deals with it. With us or not.’ She disappeared from my head.

I removed my hands from Blake’s grip and made him sit down in front of me.

“There’s something I have to tell you.” I said quietly.

My hormones kicked in and I started crying.

Blake cupped my face with both hands and wiped my tears with his thumbs. “Hey, don’t cry. Whatever it is we can get through it.”

“Blake I’m…” The door opened cutting me off and reveling Xander.

“Are you PMS’ing?” He asked me.

I flipped him off and ignored his glare.

“What do you want Xander?” Blake asked.

“All the warriors and the hunters that were injured are at the hospital. Luckily no one died.” He explained.

“Anything else?” Blake asked.

“Gina had a doctors opointment and she’s due in three weeks. He emotions are all over the place an I need help.” He explained.

“Let her home one one Midnight’s puppies.” I suggested.

“Oh so she’s allowed to hold a puppy but I’m not allowed to teach them to skate board. That’s low.”

I rolled my eyes at him. “Just go take care of your mate.”

He rolled his eyes and close the door as he left.

Blake turned to me and kissed my forehead. “Tell me what’s bothering you.”

I looked down at my lap then back at him. “I’m pregnant.”

All the color drained from his face and he stayed a silent.

“I knew it. You don’t want it.” I bursted with tears and ran to one of the guest rooms.

I locked the door and slid my back down on the door.

I could feel Elise whimpering silently but she was focused on protecting our baby.

I crawled on the bed and cried myself to sleep.

Blake’s POV

Artemis ran out of the room crying.

‘You little shit! Why did you do that!?’ Gavin growled at me.

‘I didn’t mean to! I was just shocked.’

‘And you couldn’t kiss her or hug her to tell her that we do want it!’

‘I was still processing what she said!’

‘She’s carrying our child! What’s there to process!?’

‘You’re right I’ve been a little shit, but now she won’t want to see me.’

‘Go to her before I do!’ He growled.

I went to the guessed room that Artemis ran to.

I knocked on the door softly.

“Artemis?” I called out.

No reply.

“Artemis let me in.”

Silence.

“I’m coming in.”

I turned the nob but the door was locked.

“Always stubborn and difficult.” I mumbled to myself.

I kicked down the door.

Artemis was asleep on the bed. Her face was tear stained and her eyes and nose we’re red and puffy.

I picked her up bridal style and walked back to our room. I laid her down on our bed and placed a kiss on her stomach.

Midnight came in with a few of her puppies and they all laid down next to Artemis’s stomach.

I sat down next to Artemis and shook her awake.

She stirred around in her sleep. When she opened her eyes I slammed my lips onto hers.

She gasped but quickly recovered and kissed back.

I’m pretty sure she didn’t want to but she did it anyway.

I pulled away.

“You can’t just kiss me and expect me not to be mad at you.” She pointed out.

“I want this child. I don’t want you to think that I don’t want it.” I went straight to the point.

“Is that you talking or Gavin?” She narrowed her eyes.

“Don’t look at me like that! Of course it’s me.”

“Then why didn’t you say anything!?”

“Because I’m worried. Worried that I might not be the perfect dad. Worried that I might disappoint you.”

“You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be there for our child.” She placed a hand on the side of my face.

I brought her lips to mine.

“You can never disappoint me.” She mumbled against my lips.

“I hope you’re right.”

I lifted her shirt up so it revealed her stomach.

“Hey there. When you grow up you’re going to be a strong Alpha. Boy or girl. I’ll love you no matter what.” I kissed her stomach and released her shirt.

Artemis had a huge grin on her face.

“And I love you.” I told her.

She wrapped her hands around my neck and pulled me closer. “I love you too.”

She brought her lips to mine and tugged on my bottom lip. I groaned and licked her lips asking for an entrance. She denied.

I pulled away and frowned. “Even after all this you still manage to be a tease.”

She smirked. “Do you want to see how much of a tease I can be?”

Midnight and her puppies ran out of the bedroom. I closed the door and locked it.

“Maybe I do.”
