27. Ninja

Blake’s POV

I felt a sharp pain on the side of my face.

My eyes shot open as Logan slapped me back hand.

“Good you’re awake. You’ve been asleep for three days.”

I tried moving but when I tried a stinging sensation erupted on my wrist.

I looked around and saw Xander, Gina, Noah, Jamie, Iesha, Tyler, Justin, and Johnny, all tied to the wall in chains.

Even Artemis’s grandparents

I tried struggling again.

“Don’t bother. Those are silver chains.” His face showed a bored expression.

I tried growling but it barley came out.

“You know I’m really disappointed. You might want to know why.”

“Yeah. Why should I care? Because I don’t.”

“Too bad I’m going to tell you anyway.”

I rolled my eyes as he started to talk.

“I’m disappointed because Artemis hasn’t showed up yet. I was really hoping she would at least try and fight.” He left the cell.

Shock took over my face.

Artemis wouldn’t do that.

She wouldn’t just give up. She’d keep fighting.

If I know her she’s looking for all of us right now.

“Are you guys ok?” I asked everyone.

“We’re chained in silver. How do you think we’re doing!?” Gina yelled sarcastically.

“I’m just going to pretend those are your hormones talking.” I replied.

“Gina, calm down.” Xander told his mate.

“No! You heard the guards. Not one sign of Artemis or Robin Hood. She’s not coming.”

“The day Artemis stops being loyal is the day I kiss Logan.” Justin stated.

Johnny looked at him. “Please don’t.”

“Well, he better pucker up and get a breath mint, because she’s not coming!” Jamie yelled.

“Why are you doubting her!? It hasn’t even been that long.” I cut in.

“Easy for you to say. You’ve been asleep this whole tim-”

“Enough!” Artemis’s grandma shouted. Her voice echoed off the walls.

We all jumped back at the power of her voice.

“If I know my granddaughter, and I do, she will be on her way. In the mean time stop trying to bite each other’s heads off and be quiet!”

We all nodded our heads.

“For a human, she’s really demanding.” Xander muttered under his breath.

Logan came back with a girl. She had a hockey mask on and a sword. Black hair and dark eyes.

“Guys meet, Ninja. An assassin I hired to keep an eye on you. She human but she still the best in the country.” Logan smirked. “They call her Ninja Because she never speaks a word to anyone.”

“Why are you waiting for Logan?” I ask. “Why not just kill us and get it over with?”

“Are you trying to get us killed, Blake!?” Iesha yelled.

Logan ignored her and kneeled down to my eye level.

“When your in pain Artemis can feel it. It want her to suffer with that pain before I kill you.” He smirked and turned to leave. “Make sure they don’t try anything.”

He closed the cell door as Ninja nodded her head.

She kept her eye on me the whole time.

“What’s with the hockey mask? It doesn’t go with your name.” Xander commented the assassin, with a frown.

Her head snapped in his direction.

“Really, Xander? Do have to tick off the killer in the room?” Gina glared.

Ninja slowly walked over to him and kneeled down to his eye level.

I bet under that mask she was glaring.

She suddenly stood up and stood in front of me.

“What do you want?” I spat.

She kneeled down to my eye level and put her hand on the side of my face.

I flinched away when I felt a slight spark.

What the hell!?

“You’re cute.” She spoke up.

This is getting weird. That voice sounded really familiar.

She took off her hockey mask. “I think I’ll keep you.”

“Artemis?” My eyes widened.

She brought her lips to mine. I quickly kissed back.

She pulled away. “Wrong.”

I looked at her confused.

“My name is Elise. I’m Artemis’s wolf.” She smiled.

Gavin is going to go crazy over this.

She pulled off the chains on my wrist and did the same with everyone else.

She hugged her grandparents

“Thank goddess. I don’t have to kiss Logan.” Justin muttered.

Arte- I mean Elise pulled away from her grandparents and looked at him. “What?” She asked.

“Nothing.” He replied quickly.

She rolled her eyes at him and jumped into my arms.

I hugged her back like she was going to disappear.

I pulled away a little and slammed my lips to hers again.

I pulled away. “Elise, give Artemis control again.”

She slowly nodded as her eyes turned back to green.

“Not to sound petty but what took you so long!?” Gina asked.

“I had to get some help.” She pulled away from my arms.

“What kind of help? And is that why you dressed up like Friday the 13th.” Gina asked hesitantly.

Behind her I saw a guy aiming a gun at her.

“Artemis look out!” I yelled.

All of a sudden an arrow went through the guys head.

“Help of some hunters.” Artemis smirked. “Now let’s go. We have to leave.” She tugged on my hand as we ran out of the cell.

“Slow down.” I commanded.

“No. We have bombs rigged so the building would blow. The hunters have already released all the warriors.”

All of our eyes widened at the mention of the bombs.

We kept running until Artemis lead us to the exit.

She kicked down the door and yelled. “C’mon! We have 30 seconds!”

We kept running into we caught up to a group of people already outside.

We all heard an explosion behind us.

I grabbed Artemis from behind and pulled her into my chest as she grabbed her head.

We turned around and saw the slowly burning building.

I heard slow clapping. Everyone snapped their heads in that direction of the clapping.

Logan emerged with an army of rogues.

“How many times do I have to kill you!?” Artemis yelled.

“It’s all fun and games Artemis.” He smirked.

“I’m sick of all your games, Logan. I know you’re mad for losing your wolf but just get it over with so I can kill you!” She screamed.

“Fine you want me to finish my game, then I’ll finish.”

I bunch of rogues grabbed a hold of me. I’m still weak from the wolsbane but I kept trying to fight them off.

Logan grabbed a hold of Artemis and put his hand around her neck.

“Any last words, my love?” He asked her.

I growled.

Artemis nodded and yelled. “Talia!”

I bunch of hunters came down from the trees. Artemis pushed Logan off her and came running to me.

She punched the rogues holding me down and helped me up.

“Drink this.” She handed me a glass vile.

“Why?” I asked.

“Just do it!” She commanded.

I gulped it down.

I got a slight headache but it vanished.

‘Miss me.’ Gavin’s voice appeared in my head.

“What was that stuff?” I asked.

“Wolfsbane.”

“What!?” I looked at her like she just poisoned me, which she did.

“Relax. I reenginered it so it could give you back your strength.”

I instantly relaxed.

“It’s time to fight.” She stated

As everyone started to kill each other.
