25. Kidnapped… Again
Artemis’s POV
I was far from the border line of the pack. All I could see was trees, mountains, and rocks.
‘Hi!’ I loud voice pops up in my head.
‘What the fu-’ I was cut off.
‘No need to swear.’
‘What and who are you.’
‘I’m your wolf, Elise.’ She smiled.
‘Oh, hi.’ I greeted awkwardly.
‘Anyway, why are you out in the middle of the woods?’ She asked.
‘Look through my memories and you’ll understand.’ I blocked her out.
I soon came across a clearing where a certain boy was waiting with a smirk on his face.
“You made the right decision, Artemis.” He kept his smirk in place.
“Before we negotiate, answer my question. How are you alive?” I asked clearly ticked off.
He pretended to be in deep thought. “Well you’ve waited long enough. I supposed you waited long enough.”
I waited for him to continue.
“After your attempt to slice my throat with silver my wolf was pissed. It took all of him to heal me. It took a huge toll on my wolf. It killed him but somehow I was still able to shift. That how I’m here healthy and alive.”
I stood here emotionless. I had no idea how to respond.
‘I barley know him and I can tell I hate him.’ Elise scowled.
Logan started to speak again. “I brought you here, so I can take you back with me.’
“That’s funny. You still think you can take me.” I scowled.
“Yeah, but what you don know is that this is an ambush.” He smirked with amusement.
On cue a bunch of werewolves jumped down from the trees.
Oh no. I’ve been so worried I let my guard down and I didn’t know they were there!
“What you don’t know, Logan is that I’ve been through bigger ambushes that this.”
I pulled out my dagger and stood ready for a fight.
They all came lunging at me at once. I was able to stab he ones in front of me but he ones behind me grabbed me and held me down.
Logan came up to me and held a rag to my mouth.
I accidentally breathed in and everything went black.
* * *
I slowly opened my eyes. I took a quick look at my surroundings. I was in the back of a car.
I didn’t have any of my weapons.
I saw a sign. ‘Johnson Warehouse’ it had spray paint over some of the letters saying ‘abandoned.’
I was suddenly pulled out of the car by force. I blindfold was put around my eyes as someone led in somewhere.
The blindfold was soon remove and I was thrown into a cell and someone chained my wrist to the wall.
I saw the guy as Logan.
“Don’t even bother mind linking your mate. I asked a witch to put a spell around the warehouse that prevents any humans contacting their werewolf mates.” He smirked.
“At oddly specific.” I pointed out. “How many other humans with werewolf mates have you trapped here?”
His smirk fell. “Still the usual smart ass.”
“That’s me.”
“Whatever. I’ll be back. Don’t bother escaping.”
“Wait! What did you do with my grandparents?” I stopped them.
“I let them go. The deal was you turn yourself over to me they go free. I always keep my promises, Artemis.” He closed the cell door and left.
At least they’re safe.
‘So I’ve been through your memories and I have to say I hate that guy.’ Elise said. ‘But the memories with Blake cheered me right up.’
I rolled my eyes at her. ‘You better not be putting dirty thoughts in my head.’
‘No promises.’ She smirked. ‘He’s a Greek God. How do you not have dirty thoughts?’
I rolled my eyes at her again and blocked her out.
I could see some sort of shine peaking out from outside of my cell.
The sun is coming up. Blake must have noticed I’m gone by now.
Hopefully he doesn’t come looking for me. I don’t want him to risk his life for me.
Logan came back with a plate of food in his hands.
He kneeled down in front of me and held a spoon of old moldy peas to my mouth.
“Eat.” He commanded.
I looked at him like he was crazy. “Why don’t you eat that? Let’s see if your stomach can hold that shit down.”
“Artemis you have to eat this food.”
“Only one problem, that’s not food. It’s something you puke up after drinking to much.”
He rolled his eyes at me. “If I take a bite will you eat it.”
“Maybe.”
He sighed and brought the spoon to his mouth.
I waited for him to swallow so I could see the look on his face when we pukes it up.
He swallows and smirks. His smirk falls when I hear his stomach grumbling.
“You know what never mind. Starve to death for all I care.” He dropped the plate of food in front of me and left the cell.
I looked over at he plate. Is that cabbage? I hate cabbage.
‘Why?’ Elise asked.
‘Cabbage is lettuce’s snobby cousin.’ I answered.
‘Well I can’t argue with that logic.’
‘No one can. It’s only science.’
‘Wait I just had an idea.’ She paused for a few seconds.
‘Well don’t keep me in suspense. Tell me what it is.’
‘The spell was only ment to stop humans from contacting their mates but we are half werewolf. The spell won’t work on us.’
‘That’s perfect! Also I forgot that I keep a dagger in my boot. We can escape and tell Blake where we are.’
I blocked her out and mind linked Blake.
‘Blake? Hello?’
‘Artemis where are you!? I have been worried sick. Tell me where you are so I can come get you!’ He yelled.
‘Calm down! Logan kidnapped my grandparents so I turned myself over to him. I’m in Johnson’s Warehouse.’
‘Which one? There are over 50 warehouse!’
‘An abandoned I don’t know exactly which one but that’s all I know.’
‘Ok I’m coming for you. Stay there.’
‘Well it’s not like I can just walk out the front door!’
He blocked me out.
I noticed that the chains on my wrist were attached to loose parts of the wall.
If I use my werewolf strength I can escape an find Blake.
I just have to wait for the right moment.
Logan comes back with a pizza box in his hand.
I quickly stand up and pull on the chains until they’re realized from the way along with a chunk of cement on them.
I pull on the chains on my wrist until the snap.
Logan just stands there shocked forgetting the open door.
I shove him into the cell while grabbing the pizza box. I took two slices and held them in my mouth while closing the cell door leaving a confused and angry Logan.
I eat the pieces of pizza while looking where they put my weapons.
