11. The Date
Artemis’s POV
“So I was thinking we do the ceremony in two weeks to welcome Iesha, Justin, Johnny, and you.” Blake suggested.
“Wait, me too!?” I question.
I was talking to Blake. Our date is tomorrow but he wanted to spend some time together today.
We are at my house on the couch. Iesha and Justin are at Johnny’s house getting to know him better.
“Yes. Now that I’ve marked you, the pack needs to know who their Luna is.”
What!? No!? His pack doesn’t know what I do!
“Um, I don’t think it’s a good idea for you to introduce me to your pack.”
His expression turned sad. “Why not?”
“I’m a hunter.” I said if a ‘duh’ tone.
“Right I forgot.” He look down at his hands.
It looked like he was deciding what to do.
“I trust my pack.” He looked at me. “I think we should tell them. Nobody outside of our pack will know. If they don’t accept you they’ll have to deal with me. What do you say?”
He looked hopeful.
Should I go through with this?
Nobody outside of his pack will know.
I’m I ready to share my secret?
I hesitated. “I guess that would be OK. But nobody outside of the pack can know.”
“I promise and I will make sure they don’t tell anybody outside our pack.” He smiled. “Is it OK if I take you to the pack house to meet my beta and Third in command properly and their mates?”
I nodded. “Let’s go now since I got nothing better to do.”
He chuckled a bit as we mad at our way to the pack house.
* * *
We entered the pack house.
Everything looked the same.
Except the window is fixed from when I broke through it.
We walked into the loving room. Xander and Noah were with their mates on the couch.
Xander and Noah smelled me and looked at me wide eyed.
“Artemis?” Noah questioned.
“Please don’t kill me.” Xander begged.
“No promises.” I answered
He looked at me like he was about to shit his pants.
“I’m just kidding.” Maybe.
“Guys his is my mate, Artemis. She does know about us.” Blake introduced me.
“Hi, I’m Jamie.” A girl with dirty blond hair and brown eyes waved at me.
“I’m Gina.” A girl with blue hair and blue eyes waved.
“Wait how do you know about us?” Noah asked.
Me and Blake sat on the couch across from them.
“Remember Robin Hood?” Blake asked.
“The woman that shot my ass with an arrow. Um yeah!” Xander yelled.
“That was my bad. But in my defense you did try to ambush me.” I said.
It took them a few seconds to catch on. Their eyes went wide.
Gina bursted out laughing. “Do you know how much Xander was whining after they removed that arrow from him. He couldn’t even sit on the toilet.”
We all bursted out laughing as Xander pouted and glared at us.
I finally spoke after we calmed down. “You guys don’t need to introduce yourselves. I have a a file on each one of you.”
“What!?” Noah asked.
“Every time I’m transferred to a new place I get a file on everybody in the pack near me. I know nearly everything about you guys.” I explained. “I know it makes it sound like I’m a stalker but it’s my job.”
“Prove it.” Gina said. “Who’s my mate? Noah or Xander?”
“Xander.” I answered. “And Noah is Jamie’s mate.”
“What’s my favorite color?” Jamie asked.
“Orange.”
“What color is my wolf?” Noah asked.
“Tan with brown spots and sea green eyes.”
“Am I the third in command or beta?” Xander asked.
“Third in command.”
“She got every question right.” Blake pointed out.
“I don’t know if I should be scared or not.” Xander said.
“You should be scared. I can easily put another arrow in your ass.” I said.
He jumped back in his seat covering his butt.
“Wimp.” I muttered.
“So when are you going to be introduced to the pack? Since you’re already marked.” Gina asked.
“In two weeks.” Blake answered for me. “We are going to accept three other people into the pack first and then we are going to introduce Artemis.”
They nodded. Blake looked at the time on his phone.
“I have to go set up for our date tomorrow. Will you be able to get home on your own?” He asked.
I nodded as he pecked my lips and left.
Gina and Jamie looked at me with smirks.
“You have a date?” Jamie asked.
I nodded. They squealed. My Noah and Xander covered our ears.
“When was the last time you went shopping?” Jamie asked.
“A few days ago.”
“Good. Let’s go to your house and find an outfit for you.” They dragged me out of the pack house and I gave them directions to my house.
We got back and Justin and Iesha were back.
I introduced them to Gina and Jamie. Now Iesha wants to help them find me an outfit.
Great.
* * *
It was time for my date.
I was wearing a blue dress with black leggings underneath and a leather jacket. I was stubborn about the shoes so I’m wearing blue converse.
Gina picked out my outfit. Jamie waved my hair. Iesha put on mascara lip gloss, and some eye liner on me.
Once they were finished I took a look in the mirror.
I barely recognized myself.
“When Blake sees you he’s going to have a hard time keeping Gavin under control.” Gina smirked.
“Who’s Gavin?” Iesha asked.
“His wolf.” I answered.
I looked to Midnight to see what she thought.
She started barking and wagging her tail.
Yep. She approves.
She nodded. I saw Jamie’s eyes fog over.
“Blake is outside.” She smirked.
I smiled and made my way outside.
Blake was leaning against his car. He was wearing a black dress shirt and blue jeans.
He looked good.
Ugh! Why do I keep thinking like that!?
“Hey Cheese Ball.” I greeted.
He turned his attention onto me. His eyes flashed to black then to his different colored eyes.
“You look amazing, Princess.” He complimented.
I blushed. “You don’t look to bad yourself.”
He smiled and opened the car door for me.
“I can open it myself.” I pointed out.
“I don’t care. I just want to do something nice for you.” He pecked me cheek as I climbed in.
Once he climbed in he started driving.
I did tell my grandparents about this date.
My grandma was happy and my grandpa wanted to shoot an arrow through Blake.
“Where are we going?” I broke the silence.
“It’s a surprise.” He smirked.
“Why? I don’t like surprises.” I groaned.
“Because it’s fun.” His smirk stayed in place.
He stopped his car in front of the forest.
I got out of the car before he could open the door.
He got out of the car and groaned. “I was going to open it for you.”
“Oh, deal with it, you big baby.”
He took my hand and started walking.
We were soon met with a familiar clearing. The same clearing were we first met.
There was a table with a white cloth over it. It had three candles in the center and two chairs across from it.
“The place where we met. I’m not sure that was a good day for you.” I smirked.
“Are you kidding me? It was the happiest day of my life. I met my mate.” He smiled.
“It was also the day you took my gold coin and you sneaked into the back of my truck.”
“I still go to see you.” He kissed my cheek.
“You are definitely my Cheese Ball.”
He motioned me to take a seat. I gladly took it.
A waiter came and took our order.
I got a greasy burger with fries because why not?
Blake got a steak with a small side salad.
Pft can you believe him? Getting a salad.
He sent me a wink before leaving and I’m pretty sure Blake kicked his leg under the table.
The waiter groaned and left. I sent a glare to Blake.
“What?” He acted all innocent.
“Don’t play dumb with me. You hurt him.”
“He winked at you!” He growled. “You’re mine.”
I rolled my eyes. “Drama queen.”
The waiter came back with our food. Blake sent him a warning glare.
I sent Blake one too. He just gave me a toothy smile.
I rolled my eyes again and started eating.
After we finished eating Blake took my hand and lead me somewhere into the forest.
“You’re not going to kill me are you?” I asked.
He chuckled. “If I wanted to kill you I would have done it the day I met you.”
“And how did that work out for ya?” I smirked.
He rolled his eyes at me and continued walking.
We soon arrived at the place where he was planning on ambushing me.
“Why are we here?” I asked.
“Look at the tree where you shot Xander.” He smiled.
I looked at the tree. The trunk had ‘B+A’ in a heart carved into it.
“Maybe I am a little cheesy.” He admitted while hugging me from behind.
I felt my energy drain from my body. I felt Blake pick me up bridal style. I slowly fell asleep with my head on his chest.
