10. Go out with me?

Artemis’s POV

I woke up and my neck was stiff. Midnight was licking my face.

I set her down on the floor as she ran out of the room.

There was an arm resting on my stomach. I turned around and saw the arm was connected to Blake.

A few strands of his brown hair was covering his eyes. I moved the strands of hair away from his face.

He slowly opened his eyes and smiled at me.

“Good morning Princess.” He greeted.

“I am anything but a princess. Do I have to keep telling you that?”

“You’re a princess to me.” He smiled.

“That’s really cheesy.” I pointed out. “Maybe I should call you Cheese Ball.”

“Why?” He whined.

“Because it matches your personality.”

He rolled eyes. “You can call me Cheese Ball if I can call you Princess.”

“Maybe.” I got up from the bed and took a shower.

I noticed my mark was a black moon with a light red fire design in the middle.

After my shower I brushed my teeth and shot dressed in jeans and a blue top.

Blake wasn’t in the room anymore instead a note took his place.

Sorry Princess. I had to go to a meeting today. I’ll be back soon. I have to ask you something when I get back. P.s. I sent someone to fix your door.

~Blake

I went downstairs and the door was fixed. Like nothing happened.

I went to the living room and the Ouji board was still in the same spot as last night.

Justin.

That big baby.

I picked it up and bout it back in the basement. I came back up and Iesha was making waffles.

She smelt my scent and turned around and smirked.

“What?” I asked.

She pointed to a spot on her neck and whispered. “Mark.”

I felt the heat rise to my cheeks. “Shut up.”

She laughed.

“Where’s Justin?” I asked.

“He went to see his mate.” She frowned.

I walked over to her and hugged her. “I know your mate rejected you. I’m sorry he did. Just give me his name and I’ll out an arrow through him.”

She hugged me back and shook her head. “No. I don’t want him dead. Even though he deserves it.”

I felt something wet on my shoulder but I ignored it.

“I-I accepted his rejection.” She chocked out.

“Why? Who is he?” I asked as I pulled away.

“Alpha Mac.”

“The alpha that abused you and Justin!?” I yelled.

She nodded. “We were only 16 when we left our pack. We shifted at 13 and everybody was afraid of us. Alpha Mac kept us weak with wolfsbane but we were still able to talk to our wolves. We are now both 19. Now when he found us in California he rejected me.”

“I’m glad you told me. The moment I see that pussy eater is he moment he dies.”

She laughed. “I’m glad I have you as a friend.”

“How bout we go do something. Get your mind off things.” I suggested.

She nodded. “How did you know that my mate rejected me?”

“Justin told me.” I blurted out.

“Remind me to kill him when we get back.”

“Let’s leave then.” I took a waffle and turned off the stove.

I out food in Midnight’s bowl as she ate it up.

I grabbed my keys and phone and headed out the door with Iesha.

‘I’m going out with Iesha. I’ll be back soon and please don’t send any guards.’ I mind linked Blake.

I could do it now since he marked me.

‘OK, be safe and no promises about the guards.’ He replied.

I’m pretty sure he was smirking.

I focus my attention back onto the road.

We soon arrived at a werewolf mall.

As we entered a guy walked up to us with blond hair and brown eyes.

“Luna. Alpha Blake sent me.” He said. “I’m Jax.”

I groaned. “I told him no guards.”

“Since when are mates known to listen?” Iesha asked.

Jax growled and put me behind him. “Rogue. Stay behind me Luna.”

“She’s my friend. I told Blake she was coming with me.” I explained.

“Oh sorry.” He apologized.

“My name is Iesha.” She stretched her hand out and Jax took it.

“Sorry about that Luna.” He apologized to me.

“Call me Artemis. I don’t know why Blake behave me a guard he knows I can protect myself.” I complained.

“Whatever. Let’s just shop.” Iesha smiled and started dragging me.

After hitting a couple stores we decided to hit the food court.

“How about pizza?” I asked.

“Sounds good.” Iesha agreed as Jax nodded.

We already finished the pizza we had last night. Anytime is pizza time.

We went to the pizza place. The waiter can by and took our order. We got a large pepperoni do tethered of us.

“I’m going to go pay.” I said before leaving that table.

I payed at the register then headed back to our table.

I accidentally bumped into someone. “Sorry.”

I looked up and saw a smirking face.

What!?

How is he here!?

How is he still alive!?

He can’t be here!? I made sure of it.

“Logan?” My voice was barley above a whisper.

“Artemis! Alpha is calling us.” Jax yelled from the front entrance.

I looked back at Logan but he was gone.

I made my way over to Iesha and Jax.

“Are you ok? You look like you saw a ghost.” Iesha asked.

I nodded slowly. “Yeah I’m fine. Let’s just head back.”

We headed back to my house. I had so many thoughts running through my mind.

I pushed them to the back of my head when we arrived at my house. Jax went home already.

I entered the house. It was dimly lit with a trail of flower petals leading up to the living room.

“I think that my cue to leave.” Iesha went to her bedroom.

I followed the trail. At the end of it was Blake in a tux.

Damn he looked good.

Wait! No! I shouldn’t be thinking like that!

Midnight was next to him. She was wearing a little blue dress.

How did he get that on her?

“If this is a proposal my answer is no.” I said as I approached him.

He chuckled. His expression turned nervous.

Why is he so nervous?

“I wanted to ask if you if you wanted to go out on a date?” He asked nervously.

I smiled at his adorkableness.

I put my arms around his neck. “I would love too.”

He grabbed my waist and spun me around. “Good. It would have been so awkward if you said no.”

He set me down and pecked my lips.

“I want to know, how did you and those twins meet?” He asked.

“That’s a long story. Are you sure you’re ready for it?” I asked

“Please. I’m ready for anything.” He took off his blazer and flexed his muscles.

“I see nothing but fat. I think maybe you’re becoming weak.” I poked his arm.

I picked me up bridal style. I immediately wrapped my arms around his neck.

“You call this weak?” He smirked.

“Maybe I do.”

He smiled and kissed my lips. Sparks erupted. I kissed back. He licked my bottom lip asking for an entrance, I denied. He groaned in disapproval.

We were interrupted by a familiar voice.

“Hey Artemis I was wondering if- oh, am I interrupting something?” I heard Justin’s voice.

Blake put me down. I looked at him and he was smirking. Asshole.

“No Justin! What is it?” I asked.

“Huh— oh right! I was wondering if maybe we could be accepted into your pack along with my mate?” I could tell he was nervous.

“Blake. Can they join?” I asked. “I trust them.”

He looked hesitant. “I don’t know.”

I grabbed his hand an dragged him to the kitchen. “If you don’t accept them into your pack I won’t let you kiss me for a month.”

He pouted. “Fine they can join.”

I smiled.

“If you give me unlimited kisses for a month.” He smirked.

“Why is there always a catch?” I muttered. “Alright fine.”

I can’t believe I’m agreeing to this.

He smiled like an idiot and kissed my cheek.

I went back into the living room. “You’re accepted into the pack.”

Justin smiled and hugged me. Blake growled but I ignored him.

I pulled away from Justin and noticed something on his neck. I turned his head and moved a price of his shirt.

“Is that a bite mark I see?” I smirked.

He removed my hands from his face. I’m pretty sure he’s blushing.

“Maybe.” He blushed.

I laughed at him.

“I don’t know why you’re laughing. I see you have a mark of your own.” He smirked.

That shut me up.

“Oh whatever.”

He laughed then went up to his room.

I felt arms go around me. I turned around and saw Blake grinning.

“Just out of curiosity, how did you get that dress on Midnight?” I asked.

He groaned. “That dog really doesn’t like me.”

I laughed at him as Midnight started barking.

There was still one question running through my mind.

How is Logan here!?
