33. Suni
Chapter 33
Suni
F or the first time since he had moved into his own house, Suni woke up with a smile on his face. The night before, everyone had stayed up late as his family celebrated having another daughter in the family and welcomed Jabari and Kofi. The brothers had been showered with gifts and his mother had promised to help them set up their home. The calves had loved Mike and Sam, and the two squirrels had been passed around and petted and fed until they couldn't fit anything else into their cheeks. Even Amma had been right at home as everyone teased each other and tried to tell the most outrageous hunting story. The second moon had been on its way to the horizon when Nora finally kicked everyone out. The calves had fallen asleep, and he had watched his brothers carry their calves' home. One day, he would be a proud sire with his arms full of sleepy calves, and he couldn't wait.
A soft grunt made him chuckle. Amma didn't sleep on her side or his side, she slept on all sides. Her arms and legs tangled with his and the gentle noises that escaped her lips were adorable. She refused to admit she snored whenever he pointed out and threatened him daily to remove body parts if he told anyone. He promised to keep her secret to himself. His sire had taught him that a happy mate made for a happy home.
After they had explored every inch of each other, they had talked about what they wanted to do with the house. Amma had a lot of ideas about furniture, colors, and even how the area she called ‘the bathroom' could be better. He liked all her ideas and agreed with everything she said. It meant she was happy with him and was preparing a home where they would raise their calves one day. He would talk to Ni'em about making them a table and something called a ‘couch' and ‘loveseat.' While Suni was amazing with his weapons, his younger brother had a way with wood. Amma had also expressed an interest in having furs for the floors, which meant he would have to go hunting frequently during the next few rotations. Especially with the cold season coming, he refused to think of her getting sick because he didn't take care of her the right way.
Amma had also explained how Sam and Mike lived in the wild. They usually built their homes high in the trees in something called a ‘drey.' He would do his best to replicate their natural homes so they were comfortable too. Amma had said they would live in the forest and come to visit, but he knew she would worry about them constantly. There were all kinds of other things they had talked about, and he couldn't wait to get started.
"Is it really time to wake up already?" Amma's sleep-roughened voice mumbled.
"You do not have to wake up unless you want to." He kissed her shoulder. "I will start first meal and feed the boys. They are sitting at the side of the furs, staring at us."
"They are actually demanding breakfast." Amma flopped onto her back and his eyes snagged on her breasts. He sucked one into his mouth and wrapped his tongue around the tip, tugging hard. She laughed and continued, "Or we can stay in bed and forget everything."
Suni wasn't against the idea. It wasn't expected of them to leave their home for rotations as they celebrated their union. He rolled her to face away from him and lifted her leg. Suni grabbed his stiffening cock and guided it to the opening of her cunt. She was already wet for him. They both groaned as he gently pushed into her hot core. They made love quietly as the second sun started over the horizon.
"I think all my bones have melted," Amma groaned as his knot softened. "Please tell me there's nothing we need to do today."
"We have to attend the young warriors' coming of age ceremony." Suni tightened his arms around her. "Gar and Rown will expect to see us, but no one will say anything if we stay home."
"They waited for you to return home. I can't be the reason they have to continue waiting. I think I'll hang out with Mia for a while later and catch up while exploring."
"All I ask is that you stay within the gates." Suni couldn't allow himself to think of Amma lost in the forest. Not with the High Coven sending witches out to invade villages.
"I have no intention of leaving," Amma assured him. "I just want to get to know my new home. Is there a stall that sells furs?"
"There are a few with decorative furs and leathers, but I will hunt for what you need." Suni didn't want her to think he couldn't take care of her needs.
"I know you're going to get me some amazing furs, but I was hoping to get something temporary until you do." She rolled in his arms. "Our bed furs are going to need to be cleaned frequently."
He chuckled. "You do not like the wet spot?"
"Not when it's on my side of the bed."
"Which side is yours?" he asked and kissed her little nose. "You take up all the furs. You even lay on top of me."
"Not my fault you're furry." Amma ran her fingers through his chest fur. "Should we talk to your brother about the furniture, or wait until after the ceremony?"
"I will speak to him today at practice." Suni sat up and pulled her into his lap.
"Do you think anyone has any clothing that would fit me?" Amma asked. "Maybe something I could wear tonight? I don't think wearing cargo pants would be formal enough."
"I think some of the clothing stalls have started trying to cater to Mia and Julian. If not, ask my dam."
"I really do hope we find my cousin Michelle in this world. She makes the best clothing. I should have grabbed something when I left home."
"You were in fear for your life. Your mother and aunts packed those bags with everything you would need. Formal clothing is not necessary for survival," Suni said. He hated thinking about her fearing anything. "For the rest of my life, I will make sure you never are in that kind of danger again.
"I know you will try." She kissed his cheek. "If you show me how to cook that oatmeal, I can start making first meal for us."
"Why?" Suni frowned. "Do you not like the food I cook?"
"I don't know. You haven't cooked breakfast for me yet."
He stood with her in his arms. "We need to change that. You take care of what you need to, and I will cook."
"Naked?"
"Yes." He groaned when she licked his chest. "When I am naked, your cunt stays wet for me."
"You mean you like me running around turned on?"
"Yes. Of course I do." Suni sat down on the furs. "Go before I change my mind."
He watched her slip behind the covering for the bathroom and smiled. He had licked every part of her body, and yet she got shy when it came to anything dealing with personal care. He couldn't wait for the day she stopped caring and let him be part of every inch of her life. But first, he had to show her he knew how to cook first meal and make it better than anyone else.
He was just finishing up the leaf bowls when Amma joined him. This day she wore a dark blue skirt that just touched her ankles and a band across her breasts. She was the most beautiful female he had ever seen. She stood on tiptoe and kissed him on the forehead before sitting on the ground. He growled.
"I should have gotten a chair for you to sit on."
"I'm fine." Amma patted the ground. "Remember, I sat out in the forest and didn't melt."
"You had logs," Suni huffed. "I will – "
"No, you won't," Amma interrupted. She caught his hand and pulled. "Sit down and let's eat breakfast together. I finally get to taste your twist on the morning meal."
"I hope you like it." He filled a bowl and handed it to her. "Eat your fill. I made enough."
Amma laughed and said, "You made enough for a whole village." She took a sip and hummed. "This is the best one yet. Not too sweet… and there's a flavor I can't place, but it works."
"It is an herb most do not think to put in." Suni filled his own bowl and sat next to her. "I do not like anything too sweet in the morning. I want to wake up slowly, not with a sugar rush."
"I get you on that. I like that you remembered I love the leaf bowls."
"I will always remember everything you tell me."
"Just remember, you don't have to always make me what I want. For this to be a partnership, you get your way sometimes."
"I get my way in the furs." He grinned over the rim of his bowl when she shifted. He could smell her need.
