Sarra
"Glory, Mommy and Daddy love you. I can't wait to hold you in my arms," I said as I rocked in the new rocking chair in Glory's room, rubbing my tummy. She seemed to calm down. I had written another children's book for her and read it aloud.
I was starting to get awkward getting up and down. Glory was growing so fast. She was due in a month, and I was so excited to hold my beautiful baby. My phone rang; it was Shane.
"Sarra, I'm on my way to your house. It'll take a few minutes because I'm on the other side of town. I want you to lock your doors. We just found out that Amanda Lundry is alive."
"What? She'll take my baby. Shane, I hear someone in my house. What do I do?"
"Where are you?"
"I'm in the baby's room."
"Get in the closet."
When the door was kicked open, I screamed. My uncles and Amanda stood there laughing.
"Oh, look, our baby will be here any time now," Amanda sneered.
"Stay away from me. I know all of you killed my parents, and you killed your brothers."
"Now, Sarra, that's no way to treat your Mam? I cared for you your entire life, and now I want your baby."
"You're not going to touch my baby. Stay away from me. I'll kill you if you lay one finger on my child. Get out of my house!" I screamed.
"Get her."
I fought them, and tried to get away, but one of them hit me. When I opened my eyes, I was tied up in an old RV. At least Shane knew where I was. He knew these killers had me. He would find us. All I had to do was keep my baby safe. I kept my eyes closed, trying to make a plan.
"Open your eyes. I know you're awake. I will give you a choice: I either cut the baby from your stomach, or you can have the baby normally if you do everything I say. You mess up one time, and we take the baby from you."
"I'll do what you say."
"Good. You will be our slave until the baby arrives, and then you will die because you turned against me. That was a mistake."
