Drew

I meant it when I said loving Josie is enough.

It is.

It’s all I’m ever going to want… although that doesn’t mean I’ve had my fill of her yet.

I need more.

I think I’ll always need more. I break the kiss, holding her steady as I look down into her upturned face.

“Would you like to shower with me?”

“Shower? Together?”

“Sure. Why not?”

Her eyes sparkle, giving me her answer before she’s even said, “Yes,” which she does with a husky nuance to her voice.

With great reluctance, I lift her off of me, sliding out from under her, and shifting to the edge of the bed. I stand, looking back, as she lies where I left her, and for a moment, I wonder about suggesting we leave it for a while, so she can rest, but then she glances up at me, seeming to come back to life, and I offer my hand. She accepts it, letting me pull her from the bed and into the bathroom.

I’ve only been in this room once, when I briefly looked around on the day Josie and I arrived back from the hospital, but I remember it better from the other day, when I stood and watched her shower, the sun dappling off of her perfect skin. I may have wondered then about striding in here and claiming her, but in reality, I never thought that dream would come true. It seemed too much to hope for that I’d be in here with her, or that I’d have been able to tell her I love her, and that she’d love me back.

But here we are…

I lead her underneath the enormous waterfall shower head, turning it on, as Josie raises her head, her gaze raking over my chest, pausing for a while on my lips, and then settling on my eyes.

“I love you so much,” she whispers, leaning against me, her breasts crushed against my chest. I bring one arm around her, holding her close, while cupping her cheek with my other hand.

“I love you, too.”

I cover her lips with mine in a frantic kiss, our tongues clashing, our hands everywhere. I was only inside her a few minutes ago, but it doesn’t feel like it. This kiss feels more like we’ve been starved of one another, like our lives depend on the connection I’m about to make between us.

Without breaking the kiss, I walk her backwards until she hits the white-tiled wall, raising her left leg and hooking it over my right arm. Then I bend slightly, and I slide inside her. She gasps into my mouth, bringing her arms up around my neck as I start to move.

I lean back, parting my lips from hers, and gaze down into her wondrous face. Her eyes are sparkling, her lips swollen, her cheeks flushed… and still, I want more.

“Hold my shoulders,” I say, surprised by the rasp in my voice.

She does as I ask, and I lean down, hooking my arm under her right leg and lifting her up. She yelps in surprise, but settles onto me and, once I’ve given her a moment or two to get used to the feeling, I use the wall for support and hammer into her, harder and faster, giving her my entire length with every stroke.

Her eyes are locked on mine, our lips almost touching, the room filled with my guttural groans and her breathless sighs… and still, it’s not enough.

Resting my hands under her ass, I turn us around, so my back is to the wall now, and I brace my feet on the floor, water pooling in the valley between our two bodies.

“Don’t let go, baby. Whatever I do, don’t let go of me. Okay?”

She nods her head, her eyes alight, and I pull her down onto me, then lift her, and slam her down again.

“Oh… God…” She grinds out the words through gritted teeth. “That’s so good.”

“Tell me you’re mine.”

She looks into my eyes. “I’m yours.”

“Tell me you’ll always be mine.”

“I’ll always be yours.”

I watch her expression as I move my right hand slightly, brushing the tip of my middle finger across her tight anus. She sucks in a breath, her eyes widening as her body shudders against mine.

“You wanted everything… remember?”

She nods her head, and as I raise her up again, she kisses me. I circle my finger over her puckered hole and she breathes hard, moaning into my mouth and then breaks the kiss, throwing her head back as she screams out a shattering orgasm. She bucks and writhes against me, so close, I can feel the strain in every sinew of her body as she clings on to me.

As she slowly calms, I kiss her neck and trace a slow, delicate line of kisses up to her ear.

“That was so hot,” I whisper and she nods her head, incapable of speech, I think. “We can stop if you want…” The shake of her head renders me silent, and I lift her off of me, smiling at the worried frown on her face. “This isn’t over, babe.”

Her frown fades, although she still looks a little confused… which I guess is because she doesn’t know what’s happening… and I like that.

I step out, so she’s facing the tiled wall, and I move around behind her. Then, with gentle pressure on her back, I tip her forward.

“Put your hands out flat on the wall.” She does as I say, supporting herself, and looking over her shoulder at me, with a slight smile on her lips as she arches her back. This has the natural effect of tipping her ass upwards, and I run my hands over her rounded cheeks, letting my fingers slide lazily between them. I hover over her anus and she wiggles her ass, letting out a soft moan, before I move my fingers down between her legs, her swollen lips parting to my touch. She sucks in a sharp breath, raising her ass as I circle around her clit.

I move in close behind her, nudging her feet a little further apart with my own, and place the tip of my cock at her entrance. I pause, teasing her, tempting her as she squirms back, trying to get more.

“Please, Drew… please.”

I slam into her, giving her what she wants, what I need. I don’t give her time to adjust. My need is too great, and so is hers. I can feel it, not just in my cock, but right down in my core. I lunge into her, each thrust more powerful than the last.

“Take me, Josie. Take all of me.”

She looks over her shoulder, her eyes connecting with mine. “Give me everything… please, Drew. Everything.”

I know what she means… what she wants, and without slowing my pace, I flatten my right hand at the top of her ass, letting my thumb rest against her anus.

“You want everything?”

“Yes!”

I slip my thumb inside her tightest hole and she explodes. Her body rages against mine, bucking and contorting as she rocks back onto me, wanting more… always more. My name is a long scream on her lips as she clamps around my cock, and it’s all too much for me. I let go, as deep as I can inside her, the rhythmic clenching of her inner muscles milking me dry.

As I carefully pull my thumb from her, I realize her shoulders are shaking, convulsing… her body going with them, and I grab her, spinning her around as she lets out a sob that shatters my heart.

Oh, god… what have I done?

“Josie… baby,” I say, holding her close to my chest, caressing her hair as she weeps against me, her body so small and soft and delicate. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”

She shakes her head, pulling away, and looks up into my eyes. “No.”

“No, what?” I’m dying here. Give me more than ‘no’, for the love of God.

She rests her hands on my chest. “D—D—Don’t be sorry.” She’s struggling against her tears.

“But I hurt you.”

“No.”

I capture her face with my hands, my body pressed hard against hers. “Tell me. Tell me why you’re crying.”

She sucks in a deep breath, and then another, trying to calm herself. It doesn’t work. Tears are still rolling down her cheeks, but the look in her eyes isn’t one of pain or hurt. It’s one of love… the kind of love that makes the sun rise and the moon shine. The kind of love that draws two hearts together, knowing that to part would break them both.

“I—I can’t help it,” she says, still struggling.

I nod my head. “Are these good tears?”

“Yes. At least, they’re overwhelming tears.” She takes another breath. “I—I thought what you did to me earlier, on the bed, was as intense as it could get… but what you did just now…”

“It was good?”

She smiles, choking back her tears in a half laugh. “Good isn’t a strong enough word. I feel like my body isn’t mine anymore. Like it’s in pieces on the floor…”

I kiss her, my lips playing across hers. “Then let me help you.”

“Do you think you can?”

I stare into her eyes. “Yes.”

“How?”

“I don’t know, but I’d tear myself apart to put you back together.”

Tears trickle from her eyes, and she throws her arms around my neck. “I love you so much, Drew.”

“I’ll always love you more.”

I turn off the water, wrapping her in a towel and I hold her for a very long time, until it feels like she’s whole again, her breathing quite normal, her body relaxed in my arms.

I grab a towel for myself, fastening it just above my hips, and then I lift her into my arms. She rests her head against my chest and I carry her back into the bedroom, laying her down on the mattress.

“You okay?” I lie beside her, pushing damp hairs from her face.

“I am now,” she says. “Sorry about that.”

“Don’t be.”

She smiles. “You looked really scared.”

“I was. I thought I’d hurt you.”

She shakes her head, her smile fading. “Can I ask you a question?”

“Sure.” I pull her into my arms, lying on my back, and she nestles against me.

“That… that thing you did to me… is that something you’ve done before?” I know what she’s talking about, even if she’s not being altogether clear.

“I don’t know. Like everything else, it’s a mystery.”

“Then why did you…?”

“Because you said you wanted everything, and so do I. I want all of you to be mine… every inch of you.” I reach down, placing my finger beneath her chin and raise her face to mine. “Was that okay?” Her smile returns, her eyes twinkling as she bites on her bottom lip, looking a little shy. “Can I take that as a ‘yes’?”

“You can,” she says and I chuckle, closing the gap between us and covering her lips with mine. She pulls back after just a few seconds, though, staring up into my eyes. “Would you think badly of me if I suggested we get dressed?”

“I could never think badly of you.”

“And you wouldn’t mind getting dressed?”

“Not if that’s what you want.”

I’m struggling to hide my disappointment, especially as I’m hard again already, and her lips twitch up into a smile. “It’s not necessarily what I want. It’s just that I’m hungry.”

“You’re hungry? Why didn’t you say?”

“Because we’ve had better things to do than think about food… but I’m pretty sure we’ve missed lunch.”

I turn, checking the time on the clock beside the bed, and let out a laugh. “We’ve missed it by a mile.”

“Why? What time is it?”

“Nearly five.”

“You mean we’ve been up here for seven hours?”

“Yeah. But you were asleep for some of it.” She nods her head, biting on her bottom lip again. “If you wanna eat anytime today, you need to stop doing that.”

“Why?” She’s teasing and we both know it.

“Because it makes me wanna roll you over on your back, part your legs and bury myself deep inside you.” She blinks a few times, still biting on her lip, and I tilt my head, raising my eyebrows. “What’s it to be, babe?”

“I’m very tempted to stay up here, but…”

“You’re hungry?”

“Yes. I’m sorry.”

“Hey. Don’t apologize.” I kiss her forehead, then her nose and then her lips before I slide off of the bed, getting to my feet. “Do we really need to get dressed, though?”

She blushes, sitting up on the edge of the mattress. “Would you mind if we did? It’s just that I think I’d feel more comfortable wearing clothes if we’re going downstairs. If your brother came knocking on the door, I’d…”

I take her hands, pulling her to her feet, the towel loosening and falling around her ankles, so I can put my hands on her ass and pull her closer.

“If that’s what you want, then I’m fine with it. Besides, I kinda like the idea that I’m the only man who’s seen you like this.” I kiss her, nibbling at her bottom lip, which makes her moan. “I wanna keep it that way, too.”

“Hmm… so do I.”

I step back, looking down at our clothes in a pile on the floor. “I’m gonna go find some shorts.”

“Okay.” She bends down, picking up our clothes, giving me a view of perfection, and I pat her ass, making her squeal.

“Biting your lip isn’t the only thing that could delay you getting fed, you know?”

“I had to pick up our clothes.”

“Yeah… and flaunt your delectable ass at me.”

She turns, hugging my jeans and hers to her chest. “Delectable?”

“Yeah… or delicious… delightful… desirable.”

“Are you limited to adjectives that start with a ‘d’?”

“Not at all… I could just as easily call your ass adorable or beautiful, captivating or divine, enticing or f—”

“Stop it,” she says, giggling. “You’re just working your way through the alphabet now.”

“I know… but you’re supposed to be impressed.”

“What was ‘f’ going to be, then?”

“I’ll show you later,” I say as her eyes widen and she licks her bottom lip. “Still wanna go eat?”

“You’re such a tease, Drew Bennett.”

“I know. And yet, you love me.”

She dumps the clothes on the bed and turns to me, resting her hands on my chest. “I do.”

“Good. Now, I guess we’d better feed you, or you won’t have any energy for later.”

“Later?”

I step away, walking backwards to the door, my eyes not leaving hers. “Yeah… when I show you what ‘f’ means.”

I can hear her gasp, even as I get to the door, and turn around, crossing the threshold and going over to my room.

I can’t stop smiling, but that’s hardly surprising. I’ve dreamed about this for days. Ever since the moment I first woke up in the hospital and set eyes on Josie, I’ve wanted her… and now she’s mine. And I’m hers. Entirely.

I don’t want to spend too much time in here. Just a few seconds is enough to make me miss her, and I wander into my dressing room, going through the drawers until I find a pair of cargo shorts. They’re dark gray, and I pull them on, doing up the zipper and button. I could put on a t-shirt, but I enjoy feeling Josie against my skin… and even if my brother comes over for some reason, I don’t care if he sees me half-naked. It’s Josie I’d be worried about.

I close the drawer again, and head back out into the bedroom, noticing I didn’t make the bed… again. My eyes drift over to the door, my mind roaming beyond that to Josie’s room… and I wonder if she’ll want to sleep with me tonight. God, I hope so. The thought of holding her all night, of waking up beside her, of her face being the first thing I see tomorrow morning… it makes my skin tingle.

I hurry over and pull up the covers, straightening them, and puff up the pillows, so it looks like I made an effort… just in case.

I’ve been gone too long, so I make my way back to Josie’s room, where I find her dressed in denim shorts and a sleeveless blouse, which is cinched in at the waist. She turns as I approach and I swallow down my groan. She’s not wearing a bra, her nipples straining against the pretty floral material, and I reach out, pulling her into my arms.

“Are you trying to tease me to death?”

“I could ask you the same question.” She lets her hands roam over my bare chest. “You didn’t think a t-shirt was necessary?”

“No.”

She chuckles, shaking her head. “Okay,” she says. “Let’s go get something to eat.”

I’m tempted to say that everything I need is standing right in front of me, but I know she’s hungry, so I let her lead me from the room and down the stairs.

In the kitchen, she opens the refrigerator door, peering inside and I stand, open-mouthed, staring at her rounded ass, encased in tight denim. It’s too much for me, and I wander over, rubbing my hands over her in soft circular movements. She squirms into me and then shimmies back, closing the refrigerator again, before bringing her arm up around the back of my head as I bend to kiss her neck. My hands roam around in front of her shorts, and I unfasten them, delving inside to find there’s no barrier between me and her swollen pussy lips.

“You’re not wearing any underwear?”

“No.” She rotates her hips, rubbing her ass against my hard-on. “I couldn’t see the point.”

“Neither could I.”

I take her hand from behind my head, bringing it between us, and holding it against my erection. She strokes along my length as I dip a finger inside her soaking entrance.

We’re both breathing hard, desperate for each other again, but Josie sees sense, and after a few minutes of urgent fondling, she steps away, turning to face me. Her cheeks are glowing, her eyes on fire, and with her shorts undone, she looks like sex on legs. I reach for her again, but she holds up her hand.

“We need to eat.”

I raise my hand, licking her juices from my fingers. “Should I consider this the appetizer?”

She watches me, her breasts heaving, her eyes fixed on my lips as she says, “The main course will follow later… I hope?”

I move closer, lowering my hand and clasping the back of her neck, holding her still. “You can count on it, baby.”

I know I could easily tempt her to more, but I need to take care of her in other ways, too… ways that include food. So, I re-fasten her shorts, shutting away temptation… for now.

“What have we got to eat that takes no time at all to prepare?” I ask, reaching around her and opening the refrigerator again.

“I don’t know. I was just wondering that.”

We stand side by side, arm in arm, and check out our supplies. “We’ve got cold chicken.” I pull it out, handing it to Josie to put on the countertop.

“There’s some salad, too.” She opens the drawer at the bottom, finding lettuce, tomatoes, radishes, cucumber, some olives, and a red onion. “We can make something out of this.”

“Something quick?”

She smiles up at me. “Yes. Something quick.”

We gather the ingredients, and between us, we chop them up into a large bowl. Josie prepares a dressing while I set the table, and before I know it, we’re sitting opposite each other, ready to eat.

“This looks good.”

She nods her head. “It does.”

“Not as good as you, though.”

She smiles, dishing up the salad into two bowls, and handing one to me. I pour us a glass of chilled water each, and smile as Josie tucks in with gusto.

I join her, and after a couple of mouthfuls, she looks up at me.

“What are you going to do with those photographs?”

“The ones I took of you, you mean?”

“Yes.”

I shrug my shoulders, spearing a slice of cucumber. “I’m not sure.”

“You’re not?” she says, frowning at me.

“No. I’m guessing I must have had software of some kind for editing photographs, but it would have been on my laptop, and I can’t remember the password yet.”

“You want to edit them?” She looks disappointed now and I have to smile.

“Yes, but not because I don’t love the way you look. I just think the images would look great in black and white. I think the contrast of your skin and the sunlight will look amazing.”

“You’re not thinking of displaying them, are you?” She puts down her fork, her frown deepening to the point where she looks worried.

“Not if you don’t want me to… but even if I did, it would have to be somewhere private, where only I could see them.”

“Oh… okay.” She starts eating again, happy with my answer, I guess… not that I’ve decided what to do with the photographs yet. I need to know the password for my laptop first, and I’ve got no idea how to go about working that out.

“Have you ever done any photography?” I ask her, taking a sip of water.

“Not really. I don’t have time. Obviously, I’ve taken pictures on my phone, like everyone else, but…”

“Your phone?”

She nods her head. “Yes.”

I sit back, a memory flashing through my mind… a screen, long and narrow, different to the one on my camera. It’s fleeting and I can’t quite grasp it or see the image on the screen, but for the first time in ages, I feel the need to ask a question. “Do I have a phone?”

Josie drops her fork this time, a blush creeping up her cheeks. “Yes, you do.”

“Do you know where it is?”

“Why do you ask?”

“Because I think I might have taken photographs on it, and if I did, there might be clues… things, or people, or places I’ll recognize. I checked the disk that’s in the camera while you were asleep earlier, and there’s nothing on it, other than the pictures I’ve taken today.”

“I see.” She frowns. “I wish you hadn’t done that.”

“Done what?”

“Checked the camera, without me being present… and awake.”

“Why?”

“What if you’d found something? What if it had triggered an adverse reaction?”

“It didn’t, though, did it?”

“No,” she says. “But that’s not the point, Drew. I know things have changed between us today, but you’re still my patient. I’m still supposed to be managing your recovery.”

“Okay. I’m sorry.”

She smiles, although it’s a little half-hearted. “It’s fine. There’s no harm done.”

“Maybe not, but I’d still like to know where my phone is.”

“Your brother has it. He was given it at the hospital after the accident, and he’s had it ever since.”

“And I’m guessing you’re not gonna let him give it back to me?”

She sighs, leaning forward. “I thought you said you were gonna let things happen naturally.”

“I know. But isn’t this a natural progression?”

“No. This is you, trying to force a progression.” I shake my head, looking at the salad bowl. “Don’t be mad at me, Drew… please,” she says.

I look up again, then reach across the table, taking her hand in mine.

“I’m not mad. I’m frustrated.”

“I know. But can’t you see? You’re asking me to do something that has the potential to send you into a spiral of confusion. There could be names and numbers in your contacts list, and pictures on your phone that mean absolutely nothing to you… and they’ll just add to the list of things you’ve already got rattling around your brain. You need to process what you’ve got before you add anything new.”

She’s right, and I know it. Overloading my brain won’t help, and based on what happened the last time I tried too hard, it could even hinder my recovery.

“I’m sorry.”

“You don’t have to be sorry,” she says.

“Yes, I do. I know you’re only acting in my best interests.”

“Yeah… and I know you want to get your memories back.” I can hear something in her voice… something wretched. It matches the sorrow in her eyes and I get up, going around the table to crouch beside her.

“Hey…” She turns, looking at me. “Please don’t think I’m unhappy with where I am… with where we are. I know it might seem like I’m obsessed with the past sometimes, but that’s only because I don’t have one. And just because I’m trying to find out who I am, doesn’t mean I don’t already know you’re everything I need, Josie. You’re everything I want. You’re the only thing that’s right in my life.”

She leans in to me. “I hope so.”

“You are. Trust me. And I meant it… I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have taken my frustrations out on you.”

I kiss her, just gently, and she returns my smile as I get to my feet, walking back to my seat. I wish I’d never mentioned the damn phone now. Even if she had given it to me – or gotten Hunter to give it to me – I doubt its contents would have meant anything. Nothing else has. All I’ve done is make Josie unhappy, by doubting her loyalty… and that’s the last thing I wanted to do.

My appetite has waned, and it seems Josie’s has, too. Neither of us finishes our meal, but we do a passable job, and once we’ve both had enough, we clear away, stacking the dishes into the dishwasher, before I pull her into my arms, looking down into her eyes.

“Spend the night with me?”

“You want me to?” she says, sounding doubtful.

“Of course. I’m sorry if I’ve ruined our evening, but please don’t let my stupidity ruin our night as well.”

“You haven’t ruined anything. And it’s not stupidity.”

“Yeah, it is. But I’d like to make it up to you… if you’ll let me?”

She smiles. “You don’t need to make anything up to me, and I’d love to spend the night with you.”

I take her hand, leading her to the stairs, and we climb them together. At the top, I pull her toward my room, but she tugs me back.

“We’re going to your room?”

“Yeah. Is that a problem?”

She glances over my shoulder at the closed door. “N—No.”

I’m not sure I believe her, but she smiles, leaning up and kissing me. “If you’d rather we slept in your room…?”

She shakes her head. “No… it’s fine.”

She reaches around me, opening the door, and I turn and lead her inside.
