Chapter 14
The heavily pregnant female had walked into the psychic shop.
"Excuse me but I need a reading." Panic and worry had filled the women's voice.
The lady who had owned the shop glanced at her and then at her swollen belly
"Come sit my dear,"
The heavily pregnant female sat in a chair, at a fairly small circular table, across from the older woman.
"Tell me what brings you in?" The older woman had asked.
"I have had a very bad feeling throughout this pregnancy. My doctors say I'm healthy but I feel like there is something wrong."
"When are you due my dear?"
"July 31st."
"So you are due in a few days then." The older woman gently grabbed the pregnant woman's hand.
"It's probably just nerves. Becoming a mother is a very scary event." The pregnant woman shook her head
"No, it's not nerves. I have another child, it's just.. This one is different."
The older woman smiled as she spoke.
"Very well my dear."
The pregnant woman visibly became more relaxed.
The older woman turned the lights off in the shop, carrying a ball of crystal with her. She sat back down and held the ball in the center of her both palms, cradling the stone and holding a gaze with it for several minutes.
An elaborate image started to appear in the ball, a small child with shadows surrounding her as flames cascaded brightly around her. The small embers danced through her fingertips. Yet the child was not afraid. The small delicate hand had reached out towards the fire that surrounded it.
"I'm afraid your child is damned." The woman whispered.
"What do you mean?" The pregnant woman's voice was filled with panic and fear as she spoke.
"If your child is born, they are destined to spend eternity in Hell." The older woman explained. Her brow furrows deep in concentration as if trying to see something else.
"There seems to be something…."
The pregnant woman clutched the rosary around her neck, fear and anger raging in her eyes as she looked closer into the orb. Her mouth moved as if she was speaking silently with herself.
"She is damned but she will not suffer."
Slowly the once small shadow figure grew and began to clear revealing not one, but two figures. A tall, heavily tattooed muscular male and a small petite female with large green and orange eyes. Standing hand in hand and as they shared a kiss a dark glittering crown appeared atop their heads. Panic and worry took over the pregnant woman's gaze as she clutched the rosary even tighter and closed her eyes for a split second. The woman stood and rushed out of the door leaving The older woman so focused she didn't seem to notice that the pregnant woman was gone as she continued to gaze into the ball.

"Just stay with me and maybe we can come up with a way to fix her!" The woman shouted,
"You're delusional! You are married to another man!" A tall man screamed at the heavily pregnant woman.
"I can leave him, just as long as you'll be with me."
"I don't want to be with you! You lied to me, manipulated me and your damn husband! I want nothing to do with you." He sneered at the woman,
"Very well, then you will never see her again!" The woman yelled, placing a hand on her stomach.
"She is my daughter too! You can't just take her away from me!" His green eyes filled with shock and worry as he looked from the pregnant woman's stomach up to her face.
"She is nothing to you! And soon she will no longer be a problem!" She hissed back at the man,
"If you intend to harm my daughter, I will destroy you and everything you hold dear." The pregnant woman smirked at the tall man standing before her,
"She's going to take after you and I will not allow that to happen. I will not allow more evil to taint the world and if you will not stay with me to fix her, to help stop the evil that will arise when she is born then I will do it myself." She stepped closer, not a single inch between the two of them,
"You're fucking delusional!" The man yelled,
"Delusional? You think I'm delusional?" The woman laughed as she placed a hand on the man's chest,
"I'll show you just how delusional I can be," she whispered as a scream howled through the vision, the man glanced down to see a dagger embedded into his stomach. The woman slowly pulled out the bloody dagger, wiping it clean as she began to walk away.
"You'll come back to me, you always do, and we'll be here waiting for you and together we will sort out this mess as a family."
The man slumped to the ground, pressing against the wound in his stomach as he screamed out a name. The woman continued to ignore him, a savage smile plaguing her face as she walked away.

The vision shifted to a hospital where the woman was pushing and pushing and eventually a baby's cry rang out.
"Why isn't she making any noise? " A new male's voice rang out as a crowd of doctors began to tend to the newborn.
"We aren't sure but we will do whatever is possible to make sure that your daughter is alright."
The doctors took the baby away. The woman looked out as the doctors took the baby down the hall. A look of anger, fear, and hatred was prominent in her eyes as she watched the doctors place the baby in a portable crib and wheel the baby down a long hallway.

The vision shifted once again to the living room of a small little home with white walls and light brown wooden floors, pictures decorated the walls and a small toddler played with toy blocks while the woman held onto a small crying infant that was wrapped in a pink blanket.
"She's sick! I need you to come with me to the doctor's office!" The woman screamed into the phone.
"What do you mean no?! I wasn't asking for permission! I'm telling you to get your ass over here now!"
The woman's eyes widened as the person on the phone spoke.
"You're just going to have to take my word for it and believe me that she's-"
The woman went silent for a moment,
"Hello!" she yelled into the phone before throwing it against the wall, waking the small babe in her arms.
There was nothing kind in the woman's eyes as she laid the small crying babe on a table and walked away, lifting the small toddler into her arms and walking out.
The sound of an engine roaring to life descended upon the house, a few seconds later the woman appeared again, pouring a clear substance all over the room. Making sure to cover every surface. The woman continued to ignore the crying babe as she walked back to the front door, pulled out a single match, and lit it. The woman stared at the small little light for a few seconds before deciding to toss the match inside the home. A roaring fire came to life as it engulfed the small living area, furniture cackled under the heat of the fire, drowning out the sounds of the crying child. The woman did nothing as she turned as walked away back to her car and drove off.
The tall man appeared again, leaping through the window, glass shattering below him as he followed the sounds of the tiny crying babe. The fire had begun to surround the child as the man picked her up and held her tightly to his chest, calling out a name. The man looked around the entire room, fear contouring his eyes as he gazed at the small bundle in his arms.
"Everything is going to be alright I promise." He whispered as he clutched the child tighter, rushing through the burning home and racing against the clock to get out. He covered the child up more as he went through the window he entered, making sure no glass harmed the child in his arms.
"Is she alright?" A woman's voice rang out as he made his way across the open field,
"She tried to kill her! That crazy bitch tried to kill my daughter!" The new woman gently took the small babe from the man's arms just before he dropped to the floor. Taking deep heavy breaths,
"She will continue to harm her, she knows that is all she has to do to get you to come running back to her again."
"I know!" he growled,
"But I will not leave her alone to deal with that bitch." The man slowly began to stand up,
"You might have to."
The rage that filled the man's eyes was a thing of murderous beauty,
"I am not leaving my daughter alone with no protection against that monstrous woman!"
"I will give her protection." The new woman whispered as she placed two fingers on the tiny babe's forehead, a soft orange glow began to travel down the babe's skin, caressing her. The tiny babe had gone quiet as her little eyes fluttered open. The slight orange hue accompanied the sparkling green eyes.
"You gave her your-"
"Yes."
The tall man smiled as he embraced the woman, a small tear sliding down his cheek.
"This will make that woman think twice about harming your daughter, no fire will harm her and until she is old enough to wield it, the flames shall keep her safe."
The man nodded as he gazed back to the burning home and then back to the small child whose eyes held his own before the woman handed him the babe and silently began putting out the flames. Erasing the damage that had been done. The home stood just as it had been before.
The tall man turned his gaze back to the child,
"I don't want to leave her." He whispered.
"I know you don't but it will be safer for her if you do. She won't be able to be used as a pawn against you." The woman replied softly as she gently handed the child back to the man.
"She's going to be okay."
"We don't know that." The man snapped back at her,
The woman nodded back,
"I have seen her future, Cain. She will be alright, trust me you will see her again, you just have to be patient."
They went silent for a moment as they both gazed at the smiling babe, the man cracked a small smile back at her.
"Promise me," He whispered,
"Promise me she will be alright."
The woman nodded,
"I promise."
The man nodded as he glanced back at the house and slowly began to walk towards it. His grasp tightened around the small bundle in his arms as they got closer and closer. Gently he laid the babe back on the table planting a gentle kiss to the top of her head.
"I love you, my sweet girl. I have from the moment I found out about you and I will love you until the end of days,"
The man brushed his hand against the babe's cheek, tears filling his eyes,
" I will see you again and I hope you will be able to forgive me for this, for leaving you with her. Stay strong my sweet girl and I will find you again and I promise I will make this up to you. I swear it." The man brushed a gentle kiss on the baby's forehead,
"I love you, Catalina." He rose, wiping a tear that had escaped his eyes, looking back at the woman who was with him and pulling her into a quick embrace before rushing out the door.
The woman approached the small child, smiling as she tucked a blanket around her,
"Stay strong, your Majesty and the King will come for you and you will bring us home." The woman placed a small kiss on the baby's cheek,
"Long live the Queen," she whispered before slowly fading into the dark.

The vision shifted once again, the once small babe was now a few years old. The small girl sat beside the woman who was her mother as they looked over a rather large leather-bound book. Slowly the woman turned to face the small child,
"Would you like to be good like the girls and boys in these stories?"
The small girl glanced at the woman,
"I thought I was good Mommy?"
The woman shook her head,
"No, you are not good but we can fix you."
The little girl bowed her head as she stared at her book, as the woman reached out her hand,
"Come with me."
"Where are we going, mommy?"
The woman smiled,
"To fix you."
