Chapter Ten

Vivi leaned back against the couch, waiting for Beth to bring in the drinks. Beth's sisters Remi, Sarah, Winnie, and Jesse had joined the impromptu girls' night along with Regina, Stella, and her daughters along with Meg, who Vivi thought was with Rascal. Beth had told her they even had a code for it, Code Rachel, emotional backup needed. Since Vivi had never had a girls' night, she didn't know what to expect, but if it got Whiskey out of her hair, it was a good thing.

She couldn't decide what was bothering her more about Whiskey. Was it his tendency to wander around in his sweatpants with his tattooed chest making her want to climb on for a ride or his over-protective nature that had him worried if she walked more than ten feet?

When she was pregnant with Ezra, she'd never understood what women meant about pregnancy hormones because she'd hated everything about her husband. Now, all she could think about was how Whiskey's hands might feel gliding across her skin, or how his skin would taste as her tongue traced the designs on his chest.

She'd never ached down there in her life, but oh my, if this is what sexual frustration felt like, she could completely understand how people did crazy things. At night, she imagined walking down the hall to Whiskey's room and crawling under the covers with him. Though it would have to be in the dark because hello, she wasn't showing her beach ball belly and heavy breasts in lamp light.

She knew that Whiskey found her attractive because he'd been hard around her multiple times. Today, it was when she'd brushed by him to go down the hall. Her butt sliding close to his crotch had him hard behind his jeans.

She wished she felt comfortable asking the women for their opinion. Most of them had stopped by at different times these last three weeks. Remi had dropped off a couple of games so Ezra wouldn't be bored and stayed for a chat. When Remi had asked if Vivi had fired a gun, Vivi had realized she wanted to be able to defend her family. Remi had promised to teach her after the baby was born.

Winnie and Beth had dropped by. Winnie had brought her children to hang out with Ezra. Phoebe and Ezra had hit it off. Ezra had even enjoyed hanging out with David, who was a lot younger. Beth had brought her dogs. Ezra was completely in love with Moss, who Beth had left with them. Someday, Vivi wanted to get Ezra his own pet.

"Okay, now let's have the details. Have you seen how far Whiskey's tattoos go down his chest?" Beth leaned close, handing a glass of iced tea to Vivi. Vivi's face heated. If she was embarrassed about talking about Whiskey's tattoos, how the heck would she ask about how to seduce him, and honestly, how would she survive if he said no?

"Beth, maybe she doesn't want to talk about her sex life," Winnie's tone was the same one Vivi had heard her use with her kids. The bond between the sisters was something Vivi loved.

"We don't have a sex life," Vivi whispered.

"What? You don't have a sex life? I mean, I know y'all just met but that beard, those eyes, and his yummy tattoos on his arms when he rolls up his shirt. I may have a man, but it doesn't mean I can't see how fine Whiskey is," Sarah fanned her face.

"Like, you haven't taken a ride on Whiskey's rod of steel?" Beth questioned.

"How the hell do you not jump on for a ride at night? I honestly couldn't go to sleep if all that deliciousness was lying beside me. Talk about frustrated. Man, we should quit talking about this because I want to go jump War."

Regina was staring at her, and Vivi wondered what she saw. Did she know how inexperienced Vivi was with anything pleasurable? Surely, she couldn't see that. Vivi might be pregnant, but all she'd ever experienced was Ezra's dad taking her until she conceived. She assumed he got his satisfaction somewhere else because he barely touched unless he wanted her pregnant and it had never been pleasurable.

"Girls, how about letting Vivi talk if she wants. We'd be happy to listen, but if you don't want to, I'm sure we can fill the time talking about everything else."

Regina's kind voice had Vivi relaxing. Maybe they could help her.

"Whiskey said he wants me, but I shouldn't consider it something I had to do to have him marry me. He's only kissed me once on the lips at the wedding and he sleeps in the spare bedroom. He holds my hand to help me up and hugs me good night but that's it."

Stella reached her hand over and patted Vivi's knee. "Do you want more? There's no medical reason you can't have sex if you want."

Vivi took a deep breath, then blurted out her truth, "I want him so much. I've never felt like this before. Sometimes, he hugs me, and I can feel him hard against me, but he doesn't do anything about it."

"His eyes follow you wherever you go, and they are chock full of hunger. That man wants you. I do surveillance and trust me, Whiskey is waiting on you." The women nodded their agreement with Beth's words.

Could she take the first step? Despite knowing him such a short time, he was someone she could trust. She didn't think after Ezra's dad that she'd ever trust a man again, but Whiskey was the exact opposite. He only wanted what was best for her, Ezra, and Little Tot.

When they watched a show in the evening, he'd lay his hand on her belly so he could feel Little Tot's antics. He never shushed Ezra. When Ezra talked, he had Whiskey's full attention. Was she going to sit on the sidelines or jump in and take a chance?

"I was given to Ezra's dad before I'd ever even gone on a date. I know nothing about what to do to let Whiskey know what I want."

"Oh girl, we've got you covered. You just need to let him know you're willing. I can't think of anything a man would want more than getting to teach his woman." Everyone nodded at Winnie's words.

"I think you should let Ezra stay overnight at our house tonight or tomorrow. Whenever you're comfortable being with Whiskey. Then you don't have to be quiet. One night, Bear was, umm, giving me the business and I moaned loud enough to wake Phoebe. She knocked on the door, thinking one of the cats was hurt outside."

Vivi laughed along with the other women. Oh wow, she didn't want to scar Ezra. He'd seen too much. The thought of sex with Whiskey being pleasurable enough that she'd moan had her face heating.

"Umm, I'm really having fun hanging out with you and I need time to plan a little. How about Ezra stays over tomorrow night?"

"Yep, we'll have a kid's night. Regina, we'll take Roam's kids too and make it a huge slumber party."

Regina sipped a glass of wine. "Oh my, I would so owe you. I love my grandkids and I love Roam, but they have seriously cramped Baron's and my alone time."

"How are you going to make sure Roam doesn't come home?"

Regina giggled, "I have my ways. Now, since we're all together. Stella, do you have anything to share about your living situation?"

Stella's face pinkened as she glared at Regina.

"Mom, have you been doing something with your landlord?" Tasha asked.

"Haven't you seen how relaxed Mom seems?" Rose laughed as she clinked her glass with Tasha.

"Girls, we were discussing helping Vivi."

Vivi laughed at Stella's daughters teasing her. Vivi hated that the bar had been damaged, but coming to the Bluff Creek Brotherhood MC's compound was one of the best things to happen to her.

"You know who we know is having a lot of sex," Remi teased.

"Shut up. You said you'd keep quiet." Sarah muttered.

"Yeah, but we're all women. So did you know I've caught the newlyweds in three unusual places having a quickie in the last two weeks?"

Vivi giggled at Remi's wiggling eyebrows. In such a short time, these women had made her a part of their group.

Loud boots on the front porch heralded Ezra, Whiskey, and some of the men coming in.

"Mom, we played with the dogs, and did you know there was a mama cat that had babies, but we can't touch them yet because they're brand new? Will I be able to touch Little Tot, or will you get mad like War and Dad said the mama cat would?"

Vivi kissed Ezra's sweaty forehead. She didn't think he'd taken a breath during his questions. "You'll be able to touch Little Tot, but you'll have to be careful. Babies are fragile, so you'll have to sit down when you hold Little Tot and never pick up Little Tot by yourself."

Ezra rolled his eyes and huffed, "Okay, I can do that. But I sure hope we figure out a name because nobody wants to be named Little Tot."

Vivi pulled Ezra close and glanced up to Whiskey gazing at her smiling. Maybe she should take the chance. Once she had Little Tot, she'd be out of commission for six weeks. Could she handle the sexual frustration? But it was more than that.

Each time Whiskey played with Ezra or laid his hand on her belly, she fell a little closer to loving him. She wasn't sure if what she was starting to feel for Whiskey would last a lifetime, but for the first time in her life, she was letting herself dream of a future. A future with a house she made a home. A future where a man recognized her worth and the worth of her children. And she had hope. Hope is a fantastic and dangerous thing. It gave wings to her dreams, but it could also be crushed with an unkind word. She didn't believe she'd have to worry about that with Whiskey, so maybe it was time to put on her big girl pants and take a chance. Though if she was taking a chance, she or Whiskey would most likely be removing those pants.

"Vivi? Everything okay?" Whiskey's voice slid over her nerve endings, sending so many signals to her body she'd never felt before.

"Yes, it's perfect."

And it was. They might be hiding but here, now, with Whiskey, Ezra, and the people of the Bluff Creek Brotherhood MC, life was the most perfect she'd ever had.
