Chapter Twenty-Four
Trick
“O kay,” Alaric replies. He changes the subject, getting us back on track for the original conversation and moving us away from all the talk that Atlas, and most likely he, isn’t ready to deal with yet. “I’ll sort some things out so that we’re ready to go and put a plan in place as soon as we’ve got word from Liam.”
“Sounds good to me,” I reply, “we will let you know what is going on at the shipping yard and if there is any sign of Hunt being there.”
“Great, thanks, guys.” Alaric replies and then promptly hangs up, making me smile.
“Right, that was a whole load of information I didn’t expect to deal with right now, but lunch has been ready for a while, let’s eat,” Rafe says standing up and ending all of the serious talk.
“Thank fuck,” Luc says as he stands, “I’m even more hungry now.”
We all leave my office and run back into Peter, who is putting everything on the table ready for lunch, “I thought I would get this started. Is everything okay?”
“Yeah, Alaric called,” I reply and quickly fill him in on what happened.
I hadn’t realized how hungry I was until I saw all the food laid out, and now that I see it, I realize that I am absolutely fucking starving. We don’t bother talking as we eat, all of us hungry. I do wonder if Ever and the others are okay, and their missing presence is definitely very noticeable. I hate it when we split up like this for jobs, but it really would have been pointless for us all to go on this one. There isn’t enough for everyone to do, and we would have posed more risk of being seen and someone realizing that the place was being watched.
That is the only problem with us being a team that is so big. We are easily noticeable and don’t tend to blend in very easily.
I wouldn’t change it for the world though, obviously.
“Atlas and I need to head into town for a part for the generator,” Rage says, interrupting my thoughts.
“I’ll come with,” Rafe says, “I need to grab a few bits.”
“Alright,” Atlas smiles, “we can take the truck.”
I nod, “Alright, you guys have fun. I’m going to stay here and start working on our contingency plans, hopefully I can get a few in place so all we have to do is say go.”
“Good idea,” Atlas agrees, “is there anything you want us to pick up in town?”
I shake my head and then change my answer, “Actually, yeah, could you grab me a cinnamon bun and a caramel latte from the coffee shop? I love their coffee.”
Atlas grins, “Yeah, no problem. Their chocolate cake is calling my name actually.”
“I’ll never say no to their coffee,” Rage agrees.
“Hopefully, I’ll be able to convince Victor to give me the recipe this time,” Rafe mutters, looking amused.
“You ask every time, and he still won’t tell you,” Riot points out, his eyes sparkling with amusement.
“Didn’t you even ask him when he came to the bar with us that time?” I ask.
Rafe tries to repress a smirk, “I did. He still wouldn’t fucking tell me.”
His response has us all laughing. Victor is a good guy, and we have actually been to the bar with him and his wife a couple of times. Not as often as any of us would like, mostly because of how much work we do.
Everyone puts in their orders for coffee and cake, and then Rafe, Rage, and Atlas take off.
“I’m going to take Shadow for a walk,” Pete says once they are gone, “unless you need me here?”
I shake my head, “No, I’m going to get absorbed in planning and figuring out all the different situations that could happen.”
“I thought you might,” Pete smiles as he heads toward the doors on the extension, Shadow already trotting at his heels, having heard the word walk and appeared as if from nowhere. He calls over his shoulder, “Don’t stress yourself out with maybes, or I’ll tell Ever.”
I wave him off but don’t actually bother replying, there is no point trying to deny what we both know, that I am going to do exactly what he’s accused me of doing. I can’t help it, it’s just what I do.
Rafe
T he trip into town doesn’t take very long, we decide to just go around and pick it all up together rather than split up. Especially since I need to grab quite a lot, and they only need to get one part.
Christmas, and having everyone up at our place and having loads of people stay, depleted our supplies by quite a lot and I haven’t had a chance to replace them yet.
“So, what are we getting?” Atlas asks as he pushes the cart around the grocery store.
“We need some of the basics, like rice and flour, I like to buy them in bulk. I also want to get some batteries and a few extra torches and electric lanterns since I could only find five when I checked. Then there are just a few extra things, we shouldn’t be here for too long.” I reply.
“Sounds good,” he says, and then promptly pushes the cart in the wrong direction and down the aisle with all the candy.
“Dude, you have a problem,” Rage says as Atlas adds some to the cart.
Atlas scoffs, “No, I don’t. I just like candy, and I have to get more because you raided my stash, and now I'm low.”
“You’re both as bad as each other,” I point out and then add, “but we’re running low on chocolate; I need some for baking, and Ever’s going to want extra in a couple of weeks.”
“Good point,” Atlas says, as he does a U-turn and starts loading the cart with chocolate.
“How did I forget how fucking chaotic you were when you shop?” I question, rolling my eyes but unable to keep the amused smile off my face.
Atlas just grins at me.
Rafe and I make the easy decision to get this shopping trip done as quickly as we possibly can before Atlas ends up deviating from the list even more, and we end up having to get another trolley because he has filled up ours with random stuff that he doesn’t actually need. He is the worst impulse buyer ever.
We are about halfway through the store when a familiar voice calls out to us, and we stop.
“Hey guys,” Lucien greets us happily, carrying his own basket that is full of cheese.
I nod toward it and say, “A new pregnancy craving?”
Lucien chuckles, “Yep. To be honest, we are all happier with this one. The pickled onion one was not a favorite.”
I wince, “Yeah, I can imagine.”
“I’ll walk with you, save us blocking the aisle and Atlas adding anything else you don’t need to the cart,” Lucien says with a smirk.
Rage and I burst out laughing as Atlas stands there, his mouth open, looking incredulous with a box of bouncy balls in one hand.
“Dude, why do you need bouncy balls?” I ask, through my laughter.
Atlas looks at his hand as if to check that is what he actually has in his hand, and he shrugs, “Just in case.”
“I told you; you had a problem. Even Lucien knows you can’t be trusted in a shop.” Rage says.
Atlas just shrugs his shoulders, grins, and drops the bouncy balls in the cart.
Ever
“W e’ve got no real essentials here,” I say as I walk into the open-plan area where the guys are.
“What are we missing?” Quinn asks curiously.
“Toilet rolls, for one,” I reply.
Cash is opening cupboards in the kitchen and replies, “The cupboards are pretty bare too.”
“Why don’t you guys go to the store and see if you can pick us up some of the things that we are missing. I will look through what we have here and see if I can make us some dinner out of what we have got before we have to head out to do surveillance.” I suggest.
“Good idea, I will stay and help you. There is nothing worse than going on a stake out when you are hungry.” Jensen says.
“You would say that,” Cash grins as he grabs his keys, “come on guys, I’ll drive.”
“Send us a list of things you want,” Ezra calls over his shoulder as they head out.
“Got it,” I reply. My head is already in the fridge, searching for something.
“Find anything?” Jensen asks, sounding weirdly distracted; I glance behind me and see his eyes glued firmly to my ass.
“Yeah, I think I could do cowboy soup, we’ve got all of the ingredients and some frozen meat in the freezer,” I reply.
“Sounds good. I haven’t had that for a while,” Jensen replies, so at least I know he is listening to me even though he’s still staring at my ass. “What do you need me to do?”
We work quickly, throwing everything in the pot and letting it simmer.
“There we go, that’s just got to bubble away for a bit,” I say with a smile as I put the lid back on.
“Thank fuck,” Jensen growls, his arms wrap around me as he throws me over his shoulder and starts stalking through the little safe house toward the bedrooms.
“We’re going to have to be quick,” I warn him, “the others might be home soon.”
He just responds by smacking my ass, making my clit pulse. We don’t have time to undress each other, and it is far quicker if we do it ourselves anyway. As soon as my last piece of clothing hit the floor, Jensen pounces, launching us both back on the bed. His lips meet mine in a frenzied kiss as my hands move down his back, gripping his ass. His lips travel down my neck, kissing the space in between my boobs before he takes my nipple in his mouth, while his fingers gently roll my other nipple between them, the sensation has all of my nerve endings firing and my back arches in response, my nails digging into his back.
Moving one of my hands from his back, I move it between us, the muscles of his stomach tensing as my fingertips brush them. He groans as my hand wraps around his cock, and I slowly start to move my hand as his hand moves away from my nipple and strokes down my body until his fingers dip inside my folds, finding my clit and circling it. My hand grips his dick tighter, moving faster to match the pace of his fingers. His mouth releases my nipple with a pop as he kisses my hard, and I nip his lip soothing the sting with my tongue and earning myself a growl in response.
My hand weaves into his hair, holding him to me as his fingers plunge into me, and the heel of his hand applies pressure to my sensitive clit. My hips buck and grind against his hand, finding the perfect rhythm.
I am so close to the fucking edge.
He pulls away, making me groan, and then quickly cry out as his tongue replaces his hand. As his tongue swirls my clit, his fingers plunge into my pussy as his thumb stretches my ass in the most delicious fucking way. It only takes a few thrusts of his fingers until wave after wave of intense pleasure crashes over me and makes me see stars. My pussy’s still throbbing with aftershocks as his lips meet mine once again, and I moan as his dick nudges my entrance, lifting my hips to him as he thrusts inside.
His hand wraps around my neck as my nails dig into his back and he picks up the pace, the angle perfect and helping another orgasm build from me. He flips us so that I’m on top, and I sit up, my hands going behind me and gripping onto his thighs, my nails digging in and making him curse with pleasure and my back arching, thrusting my boobs forward and into his waiting hands, his fingers expertly rolling and pinching my nipples, riding that pain, pleasure line perfectly. I throw my head back, my hips moving quicker as he lifts to meet mine and use the leverage of my hands on his thighs to take him deeper.
One of his hands leaves, trailing down my stomach until he gets to my clit, it takes barely anything, and I’m screaming his name as a second, more powerful orgasm goes through me. He flips us again, lifting my legs so that they go over his shoulders as he pounds into me, my nails clenching in his ass cheeks, and dragging up his back.
“Fuck,” he growls, his head burying in my neck as his orgasm rocks through him, before we both collapse in a tired and sweaty heap.
Eventually, he lifts his head and kisses me softly, looking into my eyes as he says softly, “I love you, Angel.”
“I love you, too,” I reply, kissing him back. “We should probably get dressed before the others get back. I am super sweaty now though, so I’m going to have a quick shower; want to save water and shower with me.”
Jensen rolls his eyes, "As if you actually have to ask. We both know I was going to follow you in there as soon as you left this bed.”
I giggle, “Yeah, I should’ve known better.”
Showering doesn’t take very long at all, and we are soon back in the kitchen checking on the cowboy soup.
“It smells amazing,” Jensen compliments, his arms wrapped around me from behind as he rests his chin on top of my head.
“Shit, I didn’t message the others what we needed, I hope they picked up some rolls or something that we can dip in this,” I say, suddenly remembering that I was supposed to do that. Teasing, I say, “That’s your fault.”
“What?” Jensen exclaims dramatically, “How is that my fault.”
“You distracted me with sex,” I reply, a smile on my face.
He pauses only briefly as he says, “Yeah, I did, and I would do it again. It was well worth not having any bread with our soup.”
“Fair point,” I agree.
The front door opening puts a stop to our conversation and the others walk through the door carrying some bags.
“There’s more in the car,” Ezra says pointedly at Jensen.
Jensen chuckles quietly and kisses my neck, “I guess that’s my queue to help.”
“Damn, straight it is,” Quinn smirks. Looking at me, he adds, “It smells really fucking good in here; what are you making?”
“Cowboy soup,” I reply with a smile, feeling proud. “I don’t suppose you guys got any rolls, did you?”
Ezra grins, “Actually we did.”
“You legends,” I reply with a chuckle. “Finish unloading the car. This should be done by the time everything is brought in.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Cash says, as he spins me around and kisses me deeply. His voice lowers as he adds, “Something tells me I would have had far more fun if I’d stayed here.”
I smirk up at him and ask, genuinely curious, “How did you know?”
Tucking a piece of hair behind my ear, he says with a warm smile and a twinkle in his eye, “You’re mine; I know when you’ve been well fucked.”
“Well, that’s interesting,” I grin. Moving up on my tiptoes, I get a hair breath away from his lips before I say, “You’re right; you should have stayed; one of my favorite places to be is in the middle of Jensen and you, our bodies moving together.”
He cuts me off mid-sentence as he growls and lifts me; my legs wrap around his waist as he kisses me passionately.
“Sorry to interrupt guys, but the rest of us are getting pretty hungry, and we have to leave soon,” Ezra announces loudly.
When Cash and I pull apart, Cash flips him off without looking at him, making him burst out laughing, and Cash smirk. He kisses me once more and then lets me go.
“I’ll grab some plates.” Cash offers, and I nod.
It’s not my fault I'm not firing on all fucking cylinders right now, Cash is a fucking excellent kisser, and I turned myself on trying to turn him on, and now all I want is him naked, even better if I have Jensen naked too.
But now is not the time. Taking a breath, I push all thoughts of Jensen and Cash out of my mind, as well as I can at least before I start to plate up the food. It takes considerably less time than it does at home but that is purely because there are only five of us here.
“Alright, what’s the plan?” Quinn asks as we tuck into the food, which isn’t too bad if I do say so myself.
“We will split up, Jensen, Ezra, and Quinn in one car and Ever and me in another. We are watching from afar today, seeing if we can catch any of Hunt’s people coming and going, and there are two entrances, hence the need to split up.” Cash says.
“Sounds good,” Ezra replies, “I take it if we have no luck then we’re risking getting a little closer?”
Cash nods, “Yeah, we need solid proof that Hunt is using this location. So, whichever way it goes tonight we will be getting closer tomorrow.”
“Why aren’t we just heading straight in now?” I ask.
“We need to get familiar with the place first; there’s not much info that Pete could give us about the layout,” Cash explains.
“Got it,” I nod.
“As you are all aware, we’ve been given permission to kill,” Cash adds, “if you have a shot, take it, but don’t take any unnecessary risks in order to get the shot.”
“Understood,” Quinn says, his eyes serious, as the rest of us nod.
