I've attached the fully edited audio and video files from Saturday if either of you are interested in listening/watching. Like I mentioned before, what we recorded is actually really good! With Truly's permission, I'd love to go ahead and upload this on Friday. Listeners seemed really jazzed about the episode when I teased it last week and I honestly think it would be a win-win all around.

I gave the recording a listen and it's really not as bad as you made it sound. If you want my two cents, I actually think you and Colin have really great on-air chemistry. The banter was snappy. I was enthralled.

To be honest, it felt like listening to one of your books. ???????

Andthe plug Caitlin added at the end for your books really doesn't hurt!

Mel, I love you, but do not ever compare Colin McCrory and me to the characters in one of my books again. Colin is not hero material.

As for the recording, it was fine. I guess. Trust me when I say Caitlin was generous with the editing and cut the ending before the crap really hit the fan. And you're right, the promo doesn't hurt.

I wanted to let you know this episode has blown my previous record for number of streams within 24 hours out of the water! If this keeps up, this episode is on track to be the most streamed episode of Unhinged on every platform. The response is overwhelmingly positive, and my DMs are out of control in the best way. The people have totally spoken and they love you and Colin. They're pretty much threatening to put my head on a stick if I don't give them more of you.

Look, I know it's a longshot, but is there anything I can do to change your mind about recording another episode and maybe turning this into a series? I totally understand that you're on deadline, but is there anything I can do to make your life easier? I'd offer to cook for you, but I burn water, so... I could wrangle Colin into cooking for you? Believe it or not, he's decent in the kitchen. He once put me in a box and tried to give me away to the fire department, so he owes me.

I hope you're not angry that I got your email address from my sister. I just wanted to apologize for getting off on the wrong foot. It wasn't my intention to upset you, but I did, and for that I'm sorry.

I know I don't have any right to ask anything of you, but please don't take your anger at me out on my sister. She's worked extremely hard to build her brand from the ground up and this podcast is her baby. If a baby were exceptionally vulgar. This is strictly confidential, but Caitlin's currently in negotiations with Spotify to ink an exclusive deal. An upward trajectory in streams would go a long way at the bargaining table.

I would give my sister the world if I could so, if there's anything I can do to convince you to give her (and me) another chance, please let me know. I promise to be on my best behavior.
