Epilogue
JESSE
“ F uck, we’re going to be late.” I glanced at my watch, before turning my attention and glancing down to Theo’s nimble fingers quickly unbuckling my trousers and pulling my hard cock out as he gave me a quick wink. “I’ve just done those up,” I smoothly said, trying my utmost to mean the words. Who was I trying to fool?
“And now I’m undoing them again.” He chuckled before kissing the end and swiping his tongue around the end. “Being quick has never stopped me before.” He lapped his tongue across the underside as my hands reached for his hair as he pulled back. “Ready?”
“Fuck, yeah,” I gasped as his mouth took me in from tip to root, sucking me hard as my breath labored harshly at the intense pace he had set. “I’m not gonna last long,” I hissed out as his eyes watered and looked on longingly at me, taking me faster as he played with my balls in his hands. I couldn’t hold back as I pulled and tugged on his hair, loving the slurps and sounds that were increasingly getting louder as my balls tightened suddenly. “Yes Theo, fuck yes!” I yelled out as my knees shook with the exertion.
I watched as Theo let my dick pop from his mouth and he curved his finger for me to bend toward him and kiss him gently. I couldn’t fucking resist that twinkle in his eye pulling back as he grinned widely at me.
“Told you that I would be quick. Now I can’t wait until we get back tonight,” he growled out before biting down on his bottom lip. “I’m sure we will have time for a lot more fun.”
“You tease,” I replied, waiting to allow my breath to return to a normal rate.
“You know it but you fucking love it,” Theo whispered into the shell of my ear.
“I do.” I grinned. “But so do you.” I laughed as I walked straight toward the bathroom with my ass on show, just to remind him how much I could really tease him.
The two of us walked through the doors of The North Avenue Live only an hour later than when we should have been here. I walked over to the bar and noticed Dee and Rebecca chatting away with their normal banter as they worked simultaneously together. The two of them just knew how each other worked too well. It had been a long while since I’d seen Dee as she was normally working away over at Sebastian and Walker’s place rather than here.
“Hardin locked Anthony away?” Theo joked with Dee as my mouth dropped open and he nudged my shoulder. “You know I’m only messing with you.”
“Where’s everyone else?” I asked hoping we could sneak away before they appeared from wherever they were. “I mean I’ll find my brother later on. But for now?—”
“The others are around the alcove,” Dee chirped out. “Everything okay?”
“Absolutely fine,” I cheerily replied, giving her a smirk. “Honestly, I’ll be back soon.”
“I’ll hold you to that,” she uttered as Rebecca ran her hand through her hair. “I want to know all the gossip.” She glanced between the two of us and then turned away and got back to work. “I mean that, Jesse,” she shouted over her shoulder.
I guided Theo with me to where I knew we’d be met by beaded eyes all staring at us. Maxwell, Cole, Arlo, Paxton, Finn and Callum were all gathered around a table, pausing when they saw the two of us round the archway. I couldn’t help but find it comical when Arlo’s mouth drops open, when he recognizes me walking over to him. The beer he had been drinking was now dribbling down his chin as I blurted out a fit of laughter.
Suddenly, a large palm gripped my shoulder and Theo’s growled response made me chuckle as I looked to my right to assess who had made him react that way. “I was wondering when you might show your face, man. It’s fucking good to see you,” Maxwell uttered as he cocked his head over to Theo. “And don’t worry about me. Married and happy.” I blinked at the revelation that he and Cole had married. When had that happened and why hadn’t I known about it, just as Theo’s grip loosened on mine. “Just ignore Arlo. He’s pining for his other guy.”
“Hey, you,” Paxton scowled as he dabbed a serviette to Arlo’s face. “He has me here, already.”
“I want you both…” Arlo sulked, as he placed the serviette in the trash can to the side and then wrapped his arms around Paxton’s neck and kissed a trail down his neck.
“Well, I better text Reed and tell him to hurry his ass up then. Can't keep you waiting, can he?” Paxton replied gruffly. “Our guy gets what he wants, when he wants,” he whispered as I felt Theo’s arms wrap around my waist from behind as he rested his head on my shoulder, taking in the group of people around us.
“Does Anthony know you're here?” Finn asked as he approached us from the left.
“Not a clue… but Dee and Rebecca have seen us, too,” I admitted to them as Finn nodded back, knowing that there was a chance he’d been made aware if Dee had spotted him by now. “But then Dee wouldn’t be here if they were serving,” I uttered. Maybe I would surprise him after all.
“Yeah. He didn’t give me a clue about bringing Theo across to me at Sugarloaf Knob Mountain did he…” I exclaimed to the group. “None of you knew his plan, did you?” I pushed.
“Think Anthony would have told us?” Finn answered, shaking his head before I turned to Maxwell who immediately turned around. I fucking knew it. Mr. Matchmaker. “I did hear all about it though,” he uttered. “I wished your brother all the luck. I believe he’s still sleeping after a late night,” Finn replied to the two of us.
“Thanks for the tip.” I saluted him. “I think we should go and pay my brother a little visit. Can I borrow that jug of water?”
It may seem like a petty sibling bit of fun that I had planned to initiate with Anthony, but I’m certain he would see the funny side of it. The jug of water being thrown back over him would ignite more pranks between the two of us, but I couldn’t wait to see what he would do next.
We waited until Dee and Rebecca had gone around the opposite side of the bar and made our move to the back room and to the top of the stairs before we risked being caught. We moved quietly in case Hardin or Anthony caught us in the act, but just as we were about to enter the room we knew Hardin and Anthony would be in, we were suddenly halted by the sound of loud voices.
“You can’t keep doing this to me,” a voice shouted. One that definitely didn't belong to either my brother or Hardin.
“Doing what…” I inched forwards back to the top of the stairs watching my steps carefully not to make a sound as Theo perched over my shoulder as Zane appeared crouching between a guy's legs on the bottom step. Not just anyone’s legs though, but Jed’s, as I’d recognise that build, outfit and fitted work shirt anywhere. “Tell me,” Jed snarled at him.
Zane caressed his fingers through his hair as Jed fought against his touch, leaning inwards one second and recoiled the next as if he was burning him. The muscles in his back tensed up immediately, as if we were intruding on such a private moment. Theo’s hand rubbing the back of my neck as we turned around to escape and leave them alone, knowing any room upstairs that was empty would be better than passing by and letting them know we’d been listening in to them.
“Loving you, yeah,” Zane forced the words out. “Why not?”
“Because I hate you,” Jed angrily snapped out, pushing himself to stand and storming away from Zane.
I glanced at Theo with tears in my eyes and gulped back the sound that wanted to escape from the bottom of my lungs. Hate was such a strong word. Theo and I were proof that second chances were possible. I wonder though could love push through and win against the hate Jed had just expressed for Zane?
I guess only time would tell.
