The end of the world has happened on Earth. Large natural disasters made the planet inhospitable, and everything with a Y chromosome has died. An alien species that called themselves the Hands of the Creator came to Earth to help protect the last little bits of the human population. The characters in the Unit A12 series all came from the same safe haven on Earth. Twenty-three human women were asked to go to another planet to breed with its inhabitants in exchange for the safety of the rest of the humans in their haven. So far, six women have been sent to the new planet.
The males of the planet are seven-foot tall, red-scaled lizard men with horns. When they are around their mate, they begin to secrete a pheromone that can draw in their mate if she is close enough to his chest where it is most potent.
The first human woman to find a mate was Olivia, who mated the tribal leader, Ralleth. When she first arrived in the tribe, there were more males than currently live there. Some of them created a plan to steal her away from Ralleth and share her amongst themselves. Their plan failed, and all of the males who tried to hurt her were banished from the tribe. Xarr, the one who created the plan to kidnap Olivia, made it to another tribe where he told the others of the human females being given to his old tribe like a gift from the goddess. He was granted a home in the new tribe for his information.
Rallan, Ralleth’s brother, who left the tribe after their mother passed away twenty-five years earlier, went to investigate whether the rumors of human females were true. He promised to keep the tribe’s secret of human women arriving every four weeks and asked Ralleth if he might be allowed to come back to the tribe. He returned to the tribe to warn them of males coming to kidnap the humans. Thanks to his warning, the males of the tribe were able to stop most of those who might cause harm.
Since being sent to the new planet, five of the women have found mates. Diane has a protective mate named Almaac. Kendra has two mates, Erkoz and Xoth, who seem to enjoy annoying others more than anything else. Life in the tribe has been going well, and the humans are adjusting to their new lives easier than they thought they would. Deja is mated to the first of the Goddess”s chosen warriors, a gene mutation that makes him stronger than normal males on the planet. Skylar is mated to another of the Goddess”s warriors. The final warrior, Toron, has just found his mate, Alice, after she was kidnapped from the tribe.
The sixth human, Simone, has left the tribe with Rallan to tell the nearest tribe about human females coming to the world every four weeks. She hopes to convince the tribal leader to stop any other males from trying to attack the tribe or steal any more human women.
On Earth, Simone and Deja had another friend that they were close with. A woman who isn”t meant to be sent to the tribe for another year. Things don”t always work out how they”re supposed to.
