My Omega should never have been in this perilous situation. I was prepared to dismantle every brick of the city's protective wall if necessary to rescue her. However, instead of encountering resistance, the city gates were wide open, and the king himself stood ready to welcome us. Initially, I suspected it was a ruse, but that wasn't the case.

He gestured with his arm, signaling for us to leave the army outside. I insisted that the other clan leaders and a small group of fighters accompany us, just to be cautious. Though the king didn't seem pleased with the arrangement, he agreed without protest. I trusted the Alpha king very little, and I was ready to unleash my fury upon him. However, the moment my Omega appeared and I held her in my arms again, my anger dissolved. She was right. It wasn't worth sacrificing lives when she was safe and sound, along with the little Alpha growing inside her.

Once we were away from the city, back in the desert, and had set up camp for the night, I wasted no time tearing her dress away and lavishing every inch of her body with my attention. I meticulously checked for any injuries or signs of harm, but I found no bruises and no traces of any other male on her intimate parts. There was no indication she had endured any ill treatment, and she appeared strong enough to smile and writhe beneath my touch.

Barely a moment passed before she was climaxing for me, as eager for her Alpha as I was for her. I savored her taste before moving up her body and joining with her. She clung to me, her nails digging into my back and ass, urging me to go deeper and take her harder.

Her cries grew louder, spurring me on to claim her with all my might, holding nothing back. She panted in my ear as we remained locked together, but then she whispered the most precious words she could ever say, "I love you."

I pulled back, stunned by her confession, and she offered me the most radiant smile.

"What?" I whispered.

She reached up, her hands caressing my neck, sending delightful shivers down my spine.

"I love you," she repeated.

I had never imagined I would desire anyone's love. The person who should have loved me, wanted me, had never done so. Yet this remarkable Omega, with her sharp mind and inner strength, had somehow given me everything I had ever longed for. She completed me as an Alpha, and I leaned closer to her, gently brushing my lips over hers.

"I was never taught to love," I confessed, kissing her cheek and nuzzling her neck. "I'm not certain I fully comprehend the feeling, but everything you do to me makes me want to kneel before you and show my gratitude. You're my Omega, the one I didn't even know I was waiting for. There's no one I desire more than you, and I would tear down this world if anything were to happen to you."

I reached between us, caressing her stomach, ensuring she understood that my words extended to our child. Nothing would ever harm what was mine. I would always be there to protect them.

"You do know love," she assured me, causing me to gaze down at her once more.

I shook my head.

"But you do, otherwise you wouldn't have come for me."

"Of course I would have."

"Not with an army, not with the threat of starting a war," she explained. "I would have been important to you because of what I can give you, and you would have come with words, a request to retrieve me. You wouldn't have promised the king's death. You may not speak the words, but you demonstrate them, and I desire that even more."

She pushed up to plant a tender kiss on my lips, and my entire body quivered. This Omega held me captive, and I never wanted her to release me.

"You have me, all that I am," I vowed. "Until the end of our days."

As soon as my knot released her, we mated throughout the night, ensuring she knew that I was wholly and irrevocably hers.
