Ameline: She confirmed it. Izzy is not coming back for another three years—at least. Helen isn't happy. She was already arranging her room.

Gabe: Was Izzy planning on coming back to their house?

Ameline: Doubtful. I think that's why she's staying away—so she doesn't have to deal with Helen and her drama.

Gabe: Are you okay with the news?

Ameline: Nope, but there's nothing I can do.

Gabe: Have you decided where you're going to college?

Ameline: Does it matter?

Gabe: Of course it does. You have to be happy with the place. Even if all of them are within the one-hundred-mile radius.

Ameline: Can you come with me to visit them again? I don't want to go alone.

Gabe: Will your father let you come to Seattle this weekend?

Ameline: Yep. I'm on my own since Dad is heading to Oregon to persuade Izzy from making a terrible mistake—Helen's words.

Gabe: I can't say I mind. At least you can come to check out some of those schools and we can spend the weekend together. It's been awhile since you visited.

Ameline: Someone would say you missed me.

Gabe: Sorta.

Ameline: I kind of miss you too.

Gabe: Send me the list of colleges we're visiting, so I can make a plan.

Ameline: Can we look into the dorms too?

Gabe: You got it.

Ameline: Looking forward to this weekend.

Gabe: I'll pick you up at home. I don't want you coming alone on the ferry.

Ameline: You don't have to.

Gabe: Let me do it.

Ameline: See you Friday then. x
