Five Awesome Things That Have Happened Over The Past Six Months

I passed my driving test and bought my first car (a second-hand, sunshine-yellow Fiat 500 called Connie)

The Fish & Chip Shop Around The Corner came runner-up in the Best Chippy of the North-West Awards (I celebrated by treating myself and the staff to a shiny new coffee machine and a new table and chair set for the back room)

Claire asked me to be her maid of honour when she marries Ainsley (the god she met during James’ performance in the Red Lion)

We celebrated Edith’s birthday with a barbecue in the little yard behind my flat, followed by sandcastle-making on the beach (Edith LOVED it and even Seth had a brilliant time – and we have photos of him smiling to prove it!)

Adopting Chip from the shelter, who has transformed from the most timid cat in the world to a cheeky (yet still respectful of my plants) and playful little bundle of fluff (I hope he settles as quickly into James’ place when we move in next week!)
