EPILOGUE BLAKE
EPILOGUE BLAKE
Walking into the house after a long day at work is a highlight for me because my kids come barreling down the hall to greet me.
There is no better feeling than the love of my family. My five-year-old son Michael attaches himself to my one leg, and three-year-old Molly is hugging my other one. Each trying to talk over the other, telling me about their busy day. I’m momentarily distracted by my gorgeous wife walking toward me with one-year-old son BJ.
Only a year after we got married did we find out that Lily was pregnant with Michael. I couldn’t have been happier. Lily and Jenny’s event planning business was doing well by then. So, Lily had enough people hired so she could take time off when Michael was born.
Michael was such a good baby and slept through the night right from the start. So, I took advantage of the extra time to get Lily pregnant again. To say she wasn’t happy is an understatement, but she got over it pretty fast when she found out the next one was going to be a girl.
I decided with another on the way, we needed more room and a house would be a better fit for us. I was thinking outside of the city, but my wife vetoed that pretty quickly. She wanted to stay in the city, so I found a Brownstone that gave us plenty of room and a backyard. The older couple who owned it was being selective about who they were going to sell to.
They gave us a great deal on the place. It didn’t matter to me; I would have paid double to make Lily happy. The funny thing is that the older couple are our kids’ bonus grandparents. They have three sets of grandparents to love them. Our holidays and birthdays are loud and fun, with everybody in attendance.
The Fourth of July weekend is coming up, and everybody will be at my parents’ house. It will be overcrowded with all our kids and the nieces and nephews there, but none of us would have it any other way.
Tonight, after the kids are asleep, I get my wife to myself. As much as I love my kids, I relish the moments with Lily relaxing in my arms. We tell each other about our day, and then I ravish her. I still get hard whenever she walks into the room.
I can’t take her anywhere in the house anymore with three sets of prying eyes. It might make it more of a challenge than I’m more than willing to take on.
She is a little self-conscious of her body after having Michael because it’s a little rounder now, and she pointed out her stretch marks that I would never have noticed. I had to tell her a hard fact about men––we don’t really pay attention to those kinds of things.
I do know that her hips are a little wider, which drives me crazy, and her breasts are fuller, so no complaints there. I’m just thankful that between me and the kids, there is no time for another guy to snatch her away. Over my dead body. No matter what happens in the future, I will always have my love beside me.
