Twenty-Nine Tobias

Abel bumped into me when I came to an abrupt pause. "Shit!" he cursed. "What's wrong?" The worry in his voice made me regret stopping without warning. I didn't have a reason other than to tell him to walk beside me. "Did you see any guards?" His heavy breathing fanned the back of my neck. "Did we get caught?" He looked over my shoulder. "I'm gonna be so fucking toast."

"No one will be here," I said, hoping it would calm him down. I knew from my late-night surveillance that this area was deserted, especially this late. "And no one will put their hands on you ever again."

"Then why did we stop?"

"Why don't you walk next to me?" Heat warmed my face at my invitation.

"Okay … but why?" he asked. I didn't need to look back to know he was grinning. I could sense it in his smug tone.

"Just in case—"

"In case of what?"

"Guards," I blurted. "In case there are guards." I was thankful for the darkness the night provided, hiding the blush creeping up my neck.

"But you said no one will be here."

"I said just in case." I felt hot suddenly, and it had nothing to do with the weather. Temperatures had been dropping and I was half-naked.

"I'm fine following you. I actually like to," he said.

"Have it your way." I looked back when Abel snickered, shooting him a death glare, which only made him chuckle. Don't smack him. He's just being a pain in the ass, I repeated to myself.

"So, shall we?" He nodded toward the unkempt trail.

"What-fucking-ever." I shook my head before marching on. Why did I crave his closeness? It was unlike me to be thinking about anyone the way I thought about Abel. Why the hell did he insist on following from behind? How could I protect him if I couldn't see him?

We'd been walking for a few minutes in silence. He was too quiet. Maybe he was still cold, since the wind had picked up. I glanced behind me to check if he was all right and shook my head disapprovingly. I wished I could say I was surprised by what I saw, but I wasn't. He was always up for shenanigans.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" I whispered. He was staring at my ass, with one hand in his pocket, rubbing his dick. Was that all he fucking thought about? Oh fuck. Now my cock was coming alive because of this fucker, but someone had to be responsible. We needed to get going. "Abel, knock it off and get over here. Now." I snapped my fingers, pointing next to me.

"Okay, geez. Calm down," he said, closing the gap between us, chuckling. "I was just readjusting."

"No more jerking off," I warned.

"Like, literally or figuratively?" Abel asked. He waggled his eyebrows, perhaps to piss me off.

I looked up at the sky, closed my eyes, and exhaled. That was the best I could do to refrain from wiping the shit-eating grin from his face.

It started to rain. Drops of water dripped against my bare skin. My main concern was Abel. He could hardly stand the temperature and it wasn't even that chilly.

"Shit," he murmured next to me. "We're gonna get soaked."

The pitter-patter of heavy raindrops rustled the leaves around us. Lightning flashed and the sky rumbled with a deafening boom. "Let's hurry before it starts to pour," I said.

We ran in unison, and the rain became a relentless deluge. Each step sent splashes of mud flying as the wet ground absorbed the impact of our boots.

"Watch your step," I said, glancing at Abel slipping on the slick terrain.

"No shit. It's slippery as fuck out here."

The air was thick with the scent of moss and pine, mingling with the earthy aroma of wet soil. A gust of wind sprayed droplets into our faces.

After a few minutes and half a mile of running, we emerged from the woods, drenched. A guard was standing outside the door we'd exited earlier. He had an umbrella in one hand and a cigarette in the other. I wiped the water dripping from my lashes and squinted, hoping to get a glimpse of the man. "Fuck!" I cursed. I'd hoped it was Sterling.

"How bad is it?" Abel asked, following my line of sight.

"We'll be all right," I assured him. "This way." I led him in the direction opposite the entrance, near the trainees' bunkroom. We dashed to the door toward the back of the building—the one closer to my room. I heard movements nearby, so I grabbed Abel's arm. "Wait." I pressed his back against the wall and stood in front of him, our wet bodies melding into one. Our warm breath fogged up the space between our faces. I was captivated by Abel's beautiful blue eyes. For a moment, I was in a trance.

"Why did we stop again? I'm freezing," he whined. My wet shirt clung to his body, outlining his impressive physique. He grinded his teeth, his jaw quivering from the wet cold.

"I heard something, but it was probably the wind." I fought the urge to rip the fabric off his skin and wrap my arms around him to keep him warm. "Almost there."

I opened the heavy metal door, peeking along the hallways to make sure no one was around. I turned my attention to Abel and pressed my finger to my lips. "Stay quiet," I whispered.

Abel nodded, water dripping down his handsome face.

"My room is the first door to the left," I explained before stepping gingerly along the corridor. I cringed when our wet shoes squeaked. I raised my hand, pausing, listening for sounds of any movement other than ours. "Clear." I gave a thumbs-up and continued the short trek to my room.

"Is this your room?" Abel asked, his eyes darting to every corner of the tight space.

"Yup," I answered and headed to the bathroom. I stripped my pants off, wrung the rainwater out, and hung them on one of the hooks. I wiped my body with a towel then reached for the shower knob and turned the dial to hot.

Abel's eyes widened when I came out. He zeroed in on my crotch and soaked underwear. The passion in his eyes was undeniable.

"Take all your clothes off and get in the hot shower," I ordered, ignoring how my body reacted to his ogling. I'd never been conscious of how I looked, but standing in front of Abel, without the cloak of darkness to hide in, I was aware of my flaws, the cuts and scars masked with cheap tattoos. I was a monster compared to him, in more ways than one. "Go on."

He cleared his throat. "Okay."

I watched Abel strip his way to the bathroom. His smooth skin glowed under the golden light. He was perfect. I'd never been attracted to men, but if I was, Abel would be my type. "You can leave them on the bathroom floor," I said when he stopped, holding up my shirt and his tank top. "I can take care of them when I get back."

"Get back?" Abel spun around to face me. "You're not gonna leave me here, are you?"

"I'm not gonna leave you, I promise."

"Where're you going then?"

"Need to clean up our tracks." I raised my hand and waved the towel.

"Okay, don't take too long." He disappeared behind the bathroom wall.

I retraced our steps and toweled off the water and mud we'd dragged in leading to my room, erasing all traces of us. Having Abel in my room wasn't the best idea, but I couldn't stand another minute of him shivering from the cold. And, if I was being honest, I didn't want the night to end yet.

Surges of excitement coursed through my senses when I returned to my room. I checked the clock for the time. It was one fifteen a.m., and everyone bar a couple of guards patrolling outside was in slumber. Abel was naked behind that wall; the image caused my cock to fill up. I pulled my wet underwear off and tossed them into the small laundry basket. My hand trembled when I pulled open the drawer. I closed my eyes to get my racing pulse to slow down. I braced my hands on the cabinet and controlled my breathing. A montage of the night we spent messing around replayed in my mind. I slid into a fresh pair of black briefs, headed toward the door, and turned the lights off.

A few minutes later, the shower stopped running. Wet footsteps approached, and I held my breath, the anticipation building with each passing moment while my sight fixated on the bathroom doorway. Seconds felt like an eternity as I waited for Abel to walk out.

Finally, he appeared. Completely naked. His dick was at full attention; his eyes searched mine. Everything faded into the background. The humming wind and tapping raindrops muted until the drumming in my chest was the only sound I could hear.

Abel stepped forward. Even in the dim light, I couldn't miss the blaze in his gaze and inferno in his presence.

Neither of us spoke, the silence conveyed the words that failed to pass my lips.

I wanted him.

I craved him.

I needed him.

A couple more steps and he was an arm's length away from me. My palms turned clammy while the knot in my throat grew bigger, preventing me from speaking. I swallowed hard before the tension between us consumed me.

"I wanna stay," Abel muttered.

"You wanna stay?"

He nodded.

"Then kneel," I growled.

Abel obeyed without hesitation, looking up at me when he was on his knees. His breathing quickened.

"Good boy," I said, tapping his cheek. I ran my thumb across his soft lips. "Open up."

His mouth parted.

"Mmm," I moaned as his tongue played with the tip of my thumb. I leaned closer to his face, my cheek rubbing against his. "Remember purple?" I whispered.

He nodded, increasing the suction on my thumb. The things I wanted to do with that mouth of his. His lips popped when I pulled my finger out of his mouth. "More," he protested, but I ignored him. He reached for the bulge in my briefs, but I slapped his hands before he touched me.

"Don't move a muscle unless I say so," I warned.

"Yes," he said.

"Yes, what?"

"Yes, Daddy."

"Such a good boy." I ran my rough hand across his shoulder and down to his chest. Goosebumps flourished on Abel's skin. "I know it's gonna be hard, but we need to stay quiet. Can you do that for me?"

He answered with another bob of his head.

One scream from Abel and we could be exposed. Second-guessing my decision, I leaned forward and faced him. "Are you sure?"

"Yes, Daddy. I'm all yours."

That was all I needed to hear. I walked the two steps to retrieve the metal chair and sat on it in front of him, ignoring the cold metal on my skin. I spread my legs apart, cupping my fully erect dick that was slick with excitement through my underwear. "Come closer," I ordered.

The bathroom light flickered before abruptly extinguishing. "Fuck!" It'd been acting up these past few days and this wasn't the time for the bulb to quit. I should've asked Sterling for a replacement. "Do. Not. Move." Irritated, I rose from my metal chair, careful not to let it scrape against the concrete floor. Total darkness would've been fine if he was any other partner, but I wanted to see Abel's face.

I headed to my dresser, retrieving a long white candle that Sterling had given me for emergencies." I hadn't expected that emergency to be my dick in Abel's mouth. The pressure in my cock built. I dragged my hand across the wall as a guide to the bathroom to retrieve the lighter from the pocket of my wet pants. I struck its flint wheel, breathing a sigh of relief when the spark flashed. I lit the candle wick with a smirk. The light being snuffed out wasn't so bad after all.

I poured a few drops of hot candle wax on my arm, cherishing the feeling that elevated my arousal. It'd been a while since the last time I deployed hot wax from my arsenal, but I could still remember the rush as if it were yesterday. The moans and groans the scorching liquid induced, the battle between agony and wanting more. I gave my cock a couple of quick strokes before heading out.

Abel remained planted on his knees, his back facing me. Good boy. He moved his head slightly, perhaps wondering what I was doing.

Carefully, I burned the bottom of the candle, watching as the flame danced to life before using the melted wax to stick it on the small table beside his chair. The light filled the room with a soft, comforting glow.

I returned to the chair. The anticipation I'd felt moments ago seemed to double. "Now, where were we?" I spread my legs, mesmerized by the flickering reflection of the candlelight swaying against Abel's smooth skin, making him look more delicious—a feast I wanted to devour. With each drift and quiver, the warm glow seemed to cast a spell over me. The soft, rhythmic dance of light and shadow intensified Abel's burning stare. "Come closer."

Abel scooted forward until there was no room left. He kneeled between my legs, inches from my crotch. My piercing was outlined beneath my briefs, and he licked his lips, blue eyes darting between my face and my erection. His mouth was within reach yet not near enough.

"Make this last," I reminded myself, because this would be the last time— wanting Abel would become a vice I could never, ever recover from.
