27. Worth
Inoticed Miles had taken Laurie into the kitchen. What the hell was Miles saying to him? If he scared Laurie away, I'd kill him. I forced myself to take a deep breath. Miles had been all for the relationship when we'd talked on the phone, and surely he'd been with Ben long enough to have learned how to be gentle with someone. Right?
"Worth?" Carter asked. "Are you listening?"
"Yes. I have to do exactly what you say. I can't ever be in the lead. I will stay back unless it's absolutely necessary, blah blah blah. I'll follow your rules, but I'm going to be part of this."
Carter raised his brows. "Have you suddenly developed weaponry skills I don't know about?"
"A little. I've been going to the shooting range."
Carter's eyes widened. "On your own? I would've taken you."
I shrugged. Why I'd been shy to ask my very close friend, who was a former Navy SEAL, for shooting lessons I couldn't explain. But it was something I had wanted to do alone.
"Do you want to tell me what's going on here?" Carter tilted his head toward the kitchen.
Matteo grinned. "Yeah. I'm really interested in that, too."
Before I had a chance to say anything—or refuse to say anything—Miles and Laurie returned from the kitchen.
"Are we all set?" Miles asked.
Matteo nodded. "We should head out now and give Worth some time to get ready."
Miles nodded. "I was thinking that myself. We'll be by to pick you up later, and if I can, I'll bring Ben to keep Laurie company while we retrieve Beck."
"You make it sound so simple," Laurie said. "Are you not even nervous?"
"I'm nervous," Ford admitted.
Matteo nodded. "We all are." I never expected him to say that. He'd come a long way since we all thought he was enemy number one. "You have to focus on the plan and the outcome you want. The nerves are there, but they're not what you listen to when you're out in the field. That's how things really go to shit."
I looked at Laurie. "They know what they're talking about. And they know how to make the right plans."
He gave me a small smile. "Okay."
Was there any way this was going to all work out? Could we find Beck, get him out, bring him back safe and sound, and Laurie choose to stay? I could feel Laurie distancing himself already. He'd been doing it since we arrived in New York, but it had gotten worse since my friends arrived. He was preparing himself to leave; I needed a chance to convince him to stay. I needed time, and that was something we had little of.
After I'd said goodbye to all of my friends, I looked for Laurie. He was standing by the window, gazing out at the city. I came up behind him, wrapped my arms around his waist, and pulled him against me. "Are you okay?"
"I don't know. I don't know anything right now. This all feels so surreal, even more so than the fantasy of our time in Aruba."
"I would never have intentionally brought you here in the middle of something like this, but?—"
"How often does this kind of thing happen?"
"It didn't use to happen at all, but we've had a hell of a year. Some old enemies tried to drag Miles's company down. He ended up meeting Ben because of it though, and Ben is the best thing that could have happened to him. Everything we were involved in with the cartel put Ford and his boyfriend Jay in danger, then Matteo showed back up in Carter's life. So, things have been wild, but a lot of good has come out of it, including me meeting you."
"How long do you have before you need to go?"
"They'll be here to get me in two hours."
He looked over his shoulder at me before gazing out the window again.
I wanted to suggest we go to the bedroom. Part of my mind was screaming that this was my last chance, my last time to have him before everything imploded. The bubble we'd created around ourselves in Aruba was going to pop soon. I couldn't lose this opportunity in case it was…No, I wasn't going to let it be the end.
Laurie turned in my arms and cupped my face with one of his hands. "One more time? It will keep you distracted."
"This isn't the last—" He placed a finger over my lips.
"No talk about the future until Beck is safe, remember?"
"Turn around and put your hands on the glass."
"What?"
"You heard me."
If we were going to do this, I wanted it to be filthy. I wanted to push us both to the limit. I had to be sure it was so good he couldn't let it be the last time. I intended to bring out the man I'd caught glimpses of the first night in Aruba. I wanted Laurie wild and free.
He stared out the window, then turned back to me. "You can't mean that we're…Here?"
"No one can see us up here. Would you really care if they could?"
"I…with you I might not, but…."
I smiled as I kissed the side of his neck. "It's one-way glass."
"You have that even all the way up here?"
"Only the best for me. Now, do what I said."
He placed his hands flat on the window. "That's it. Arch your back and show me your gorgeous ass."
Laurie's cheeks were bright red, and he smiled at me over his shoulder.
"What are you thinking about?"
"I just wondered if we could…."
"I think I would do anything for you."
"Could we pretend it was our first night again, and I'm…."
"A man I've hired for the evening? A man I can tell what to do because he's there for my pleasure?"
"Yes."
"You loved that, didn't you?" Laurie nodded, and I smiled. "I'll play any game with you, Princess. Anything at all."
"I just don't want to have to be me right now."
"As long as somewhere deep inside you know that this is me, and you are you, and I am claiming you, I'll pretend anything."
"I'll know."
"Good." Laurie looked out over the city again, and I reached around and unfastened his pants and pushed them down, baring the gorgeous globes of his ass. I knelt to help him out of his shoes, then pushed everything out of the way and forced his ankles wider. "Arch deeper. That's right. Give me the access I need."
I stood as I pushed his shirt up and I ran my hands up his chest. When I pinched his nipples, he squirmed, working his hips, sticking his ass out further.
"How do you get me so worked up so fucking fast?"
"Talent. Are you going to show me how good you can be tonight? Are you going to make me want to hire you again, to keep you forever?"
"No, that's?—"
"You're not going to be good? I do expect you to earn your pay." I ran my hand over his ass, then gave it a light slap. He sucked in a breath.
"I'll be worth it, sir. I promise."
"I know you will be. You're fucking enchanting right now. Let me get this shirt off of you." I pulled it up over his head and he pushed off the window long enough for it to drop from his arms.
"Aren't you going to undress, sir?" When he looked over at me, the smile on his face made my cock jump. He was getting into character now, and I loved it. This was exactly what we both needed, to step out of ourselves and find pleasure. There would be time for us to talk after we had Beck back safely.
"I like having you naked while I'm dressed. I like you bared to me. You're so beautiful." I drew my fingers down the length of his spine, and he shivered.
"All I have to do is take out my cock and slide right into this beautiful ass. You're mine, exposed, vulnerable to me, here only to make me feel good."
"Yes. I can please you."
"I know you can. You're such a good boy."
I dropped to my knees behind him, spread his ass cheeks, and licked over his hole, making him whimper.
"Sir. You don't have to…That's not necessary."
"If it's what I want to do to get you ready to fuck, then it's what I'm going to do. Do you have a problem with that?"
"No, sir."
"Good. Think about all the people down there on the sidewalk who don't know what we're up to in here. Think about how they're going on with their boring little lives while you're getting fucked by me."
"Oh my God, Worth."
I smiled, loving that I'd turned him on enough for him to break character. I toyed with him some more, flicking my tongue across his hole, pushing a finger in slowly to open him up.
He whimpered and pushed back against me. I slapped his ass. "Stay still. When I want you to move, I'll tell you."
"I don't know if I can do that."
"You told me you were a good boy. A good boy can always obey."
"Yes, sir. I'll try. For you."
"That's right. You want to do what I say, don't you?"
"Yes. I want to be a good boy."
"Then you will."
I got lube from the end table by the couch, squirted some on my fingers and pushed deeper into him. His arms trembled, and he pressed his hands into the glass until his knuckles were white. Thank God it was strong.
I eased three fingers into him slowly, pushing deep, curling them, and pressing against his prostate. He cried out, but he didn't move.
"You're so good. So obedient. You please me so much."
"Thank you, sir. I knew I could make it worth your while."
"You're worth every fucking penny."
I pushed into him again, spreading my fingers to stretch him wide. He gasped and squirmed a little, but he mostly kept still.
"So good. How much can you take? Do you think you can take my cock and not move?"
"I…I don't know about that."
"We're going to find out, but first you're going to get my cock wet and slick with your mouth. Kneel for me."
Laurie pushed away from the window and got on his knees. I positioned us parallel to the window and looked out. "What if people could see us? What if all those people walking around down there knew what you were doing, what you were feeling? What if they knew how much you wanted me?"
He gazed up at me, cheeks flushed. "They'd think I was very lucky."
"That's right. Do you know how many of those people would love to be where you are right now, on your knees, ready to take my cock in your mouth?"
"They should all want to be here." He leaned forward and ran his tongue on the underside of my cock.
I had to fight to stay still. I wanted to thrust deep into him, but I held back, allowing him to tease me a little, to tongue my slit and grip the base of my cock.
"Take my cock in your mouth now. All of it. Get me good and ready."
He did as I asked, swallowing me all the way down. I couldn't take my eyes off him. He was so gorgeous with his lips wrapped around my cock. It didn't matter how deep I forced myself down his throat, he took it. But I recognized I was completely under his spell. He was in full control of me because I wasn't going to let him go. I couldn't. I needed him like I needed air to breathe.
