22. I’m not the Orginal Robin Hood

Blake’s POV

Artemis has been arguing with the council for days.

I want to come with her but she’s says I can’t because the council doesn’t want to see me yet.

She’s been coming back to our room very late and leaving very early.

I just hope thing don’t get too out of control.

Well I’m just sitting on the bed doing nothing might as well look for her.

I got up from the bed and exited put room.

I wondered the halls until a girl approached me.

“I’ve never seen you around here before. You’re kinda cute.” She smiled as she ran a finger down my chest until I stopped her.

“Thanks for the complement but I’m taken.”

“That’s never stopped me before.” She smirked.

“Hands off.” Artemis came be my side and glared at the girl.

‘I like how she’s possessive.’ Gavin smirked.

‘For once I agree.’

“Why don’t you put on some clothes Blondie, this ain’t a stripper joint.” Artemis insulted the girl.

I had to try really hard to suppress my laughter while Gavin was laughing like crazy in my head.

“Code?” The girl asked as she crossed her arms over her chest.

I’ve learned that instead of asking for someone’s name they say code for their code name when they go hunting.

It’s kinda cool actually.

“Robin Hood the second.” Artemis answered.

I keep asked why she says second but she always avoids the question by kissing me.

I’m not complaining but I’m still curious.

The girls eyes went wide then replaced it with a smirk. “Your her daughter. You’re never going to live up to your mothers legacy.”

The girl walked away as artemis shot glares at her back.

I hugged her from behind.

“I like it when you’re possessive of me.” I whispered in her ear and smirked.

“Shut up. What are you even doing in the hallway?” She asked.

“I got bored so I tried to find you. What your excuse?”

“Five minute break.”

“Can I come now?”

“Nope. Not yet. You need to go back to the room.” She started walking back down the hall.

This time I followed her.

A few Hours later Artemis’s POV

“For the last time Artemis! It is not safe for you and your mate to be together!” One of the members of the council yelled.

I clenched the podium in anger.

“We don’t know that!” Another argued against him. “I think they’ll be fine.”

“We can’t risk it.” Another spoke up.

“Well maybe we can!” The same one argued.

They started arguing with each other simultaneously.

I slammed my fist on the podium with all my might making them all shut up.

They all took their seats again with their mouths shut.

“With all due respect.” I spoke up. “When was the last time the council made a good decision?”

They looked taken back and surprised at my sudden out burst.

“You said it was safe for me to carry on my mother’s legacy. You said it was safe for me to trust Logan because you didn’t give him the proper DNA test. Now you’re saying that I can’t be with my own mate!” I yelled.

They stayed silent.

“The council hasn’t made one good decision since I became a hunter. I don’t think this time will be any different.”

“Your mother had a werewolf mate also. But you’re not a werewolf because your human DNA over powers your wolf DNA. That’s why it is too dangerous for you to be with your own mate. You can easily kill every person in this room if you let your wolf DNA take control.”

“That’s your problem. You’re scared of what will happen it a stay with may mate.”

I stormed out of the room.

I stomped all the way to mine and Blake’s room.

The door was slightly open ajar. I slowly opened the door. Blake was on the bed reading a book.

“Since when do you read?” I asked as I closed the door and locked it.

“Since… Three seconds ago.” He answered.

“Why was the door open?” I asked.

“I don’t know.”

“You’re lying.”

“You know what I found? I picture of you.” He pulled out a picture frame.

It was a girl with the same hunters attire, same black hair and green eyes, same bow and quiver, and the same gold coin as me.

“Only one problem, that’s not me.” I snatched the picture from him and put it in a drawer.

“Then who is it? It looks just like you.” He looked super confused.

I sighed. “You were listening to my conversation with the council weren’t you?”

“Alright you caught me. I only did it because you’ve been gone this whole time.”

“That girl in the picture is my mom. She was the first Robin Hood. I thought Logan was the one who named me but it turns out my grandparents told him about my mother. I’m not the original Robin Hood.”

I sat down next to him. “My mom had a werewolf mate and but the council doesn’t want me to be with you because I’m half werewolf. They’re scared of what will happen if we stay together.”

He growled at the mention of the council breaking us apart.

He hovered above me. “I am not going to let anybody take you away from me!”

He slammed his lips onto mine possessivly.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and ran my fingers through his hair and tugged on it. He groaned in approval.

I pulled away. “No one will take me away from you.”

He smiled and smiled at the same time the crashed his lips onto mine again.

He licked my bottom lip for and entrance. I denied.

He pulled away. “You really need to stop teasing me.”

“Where’s the fun in that?”

He playfully glared at me while I smiled.

He kissed my lips again this time forcing his tongue in my mouth.

I moaned. I could feel him smirk against my lips.

He slid his hand under my shirt. He was about to slide it off until he was interrupted by a knock at the door.

He growled at bit but I slapped him upside his head making him shut up. He glared at me while rubbing the spot where I hit him.

“Yes?” I yelled at the door.

“Artemis King. The council has reached a decision. They want to see you and your mate right now.” A voice called from the other side of the door.

“Thank you. We’ll be there in a bit.”

I looked at Blake. “Ready to meet the council?”
