Chapter 24Brooks
Chapter 24
Brooks
L isten, I live in a small cabin with nine brothers. It's not like I've never heard any of them climax before. But this is definitely the first time I've heard of any of them make that kind of ruckus.
I can't help but chuckle as I stroke Goldie's hair. "Damn, Hunter. You likely just scared all the wildlife clear off the mountain."
Hunter laughs too. "Was I loud?"
Goldie lets out a cute little snort. "Uh, I hate to break it to you, but you guys are always loud. But, yeah…" She giggles. "That was impressive. I've never heard my name quite that way before."
She's collapsed on her back on the sleeping bag meant for one normal-sized person, snuggled in between me and Hunter, who are mostly on the grass—but I don't mind a bit and I don't think he does either. We're all naked, except for the sheen of sweat covering me and him and the glow of perspiration making her sweet body shimmer in the sunlight.
I don't think the sky has ever been more blue, to be honest.
"You alright, sunshine?" Hunter asks Goldie.
"I'm…" she begins, then lets out a delicious sigh that makes my cock twitch, ready to go hard again. "Wonderful."
"We weren't too rough with you?" Hunter asks.
"God no," she whispers. "I loved every second of it."
I can't stop the grin that spreads all the way across my face.
"Was that your, um, first threesome?" she asks.
She is so damn cute.
"Yep," Hunter says. "But I hope to hell not the last. That was fun."
I murmur in agreement. My hand has been stroking her belly and the thought that pops into my head shocks me. I want to put a baby inside this woman.
Children and a family of my own isn't something I've ever really dwelled much on—because when something ain't for you, ain't no point in torturing yourself about it—but Goldie being here's got me thinking about all sorts of things that didn't seem possible before. Which is crazy because she's barely been here a minute.
But I already can't imagine life without her in it.
To stop myself from getting all sappy and sentimental, I let my fingers wander, stroking up the side of her glorious titty. The nipple tightens into a bud and I don't think I could ever get tired, as long as I live, of her body responding to my touch.
I can't help myself. I dip my head for a taste, licking my way around the tight bud before drawing it into my mouth. She rewards me with a moan. While I enjoy that tit with my tongue and lips, I cup the other one. It fills my hand like it was made for me to hold.
She moans again, and the look of pure pleasure on her face sends a surge of desire straight down to my cock and yep, I'm hard as a rock again for her.
I glance down and smirk, knowing I can't be the only one in this state. Hunter's hand is between her thighs, and whatever he's doing has her hips bucking off the sleeping bag.
"Guys," she gasps, "I…as much as I loved fucking both of you, I think my, um, ladybits are going to need a day or two before we go all the way again. I'm already limping 'cause my ankle, and now I'm gonna be bowlegged too."
I hesitate and I guess Hunter does too, because she hastily adds, "But please, um, keep up what you're doing."
I latch onto her again, suckling on the sweetness of her.
"You really are fond of mountains, huh?" she teases, and I smile against her skin, and she doesn't say anything else because after he laughs, Hunter silences her with a kiss.
We fool around for a few more minutes and that's all it takes to get her to come for us again.
"Dear Lord," she says. Her chest is heaving. She starts to say something more, but then just shakes her head and grins.
We all lie there, breathing heavy but otherwise quiet, until she asks, her voice tentative, "What now?"
"Well—" I prop myself up on an elbow, staring down at my gorgeous snapdragon. I stroke her cheek with the back of my knuckles and lean down to whisper in her ear, "Do you still want us all, baby?"
Her eyes flood with desire as she licks her lips and answers with a breathy yes. My flower wants us all to make her bloom. And I'll be damned if I'm not going to make sure she gets whatever her heart—and other parts—desire.
"Well, all right then," I say, unable to stop myself from licking my own lips. Then I look up at Hunter who is gazing at us, curious. I loop him in. "She wants us all."
"I mean," Goldie says, quickly, "not in an, um, happily ever after kind of way. I mean. Eventually…I do have a life, off the mountain. I can't stay with you all forever. I don't belong here in a permanent way."
I push away the sadness that tugs at my heartstrings. I don't want to think about her leaving. I know she's only telling the truth, and I accept that. But I strongly disagree that her staying with us would be, how did she put it? A big disastrous mess.
"Well—" I clear my throat. "My offer still stands. When it's time for you to go."
Does she flinch a little, or is it my imagination? I sure hope I didn't scare her.
"No pressure, though," I add hastily.
"What offer is that?" Hunter asks.
"I told Gold I'd go back to Los Angeles with her. Maybe try to pursue a career in music."
Hunter thinks on it for a minute, then nods. "We'd all support you in that, if it's what you wanted." He hesitates. "Well, you know. Most of us would."
I sigh. I'd never get Luke's blessing.
"Let me guess. The holdout would be Luke?" Goldie asks. "He wouldn't support you going after your dreams?"
It's more complicated than that.
"It's more complicated than that," Hunter says, as if he's read my damned mind. "If Brooks would go and get famous, that would shine a lot of attention on who he is and where he came from. Folks'd be curious about his upbringing and his roots."
"His roots which are up here on this mountain," Goldie fills in. We nod.
Gold sighs. "Yeah, you're right about that, I'm afraid. If you become a celebrity…privacy is tough, and all of your adoring fans will definitely want to know where you grew up, about your family, etc."
"And that, my dear sunshine, would freak Luke the fuck out. Any reason for people to come nosing around up here again."
She bites her lip, glancing from Hunter to me and back again. I don't want to be out of line, but part of me wants to ask if maybe we can shelve this conversation for later and just mess around some more. It makes me wish that I hadn't brought up going to Los Angeles at all.
"Have…have you all really been exploited that much?" she asks, her voice soft and gentle like she truly cares. "Do a lot of people come poking around?"
Hunter and I exchange a look. It's him that speaks up.
"It's been a while since we've had much attention, and we like it that way. A ways back, it was a pretty regular thing. Some rich guy put up a big reward for a photograph of a Sasquatch and drummed up a lot of interest. Then there was an accident and that drummed up even more interest."
I close my eyes and bow my head, hoping Gold won't ask any questions about that last statement of Hunter's.
"Didn't get a lot of peace or quiet for a while," Hunter went on.
That was a long time ago—Rusty was still knee-high to a grasshopper—but none of us want to relive those days.
"It's probably stupid, anyway," I say, to change the subject. "The idea of me going to Hollywood. Following his dreams didn't work out so well for Lynx, right?"
"Medical school," Gold says, as if remembering. "What happened with that?"
That's not really my story to tell, not that I even know the whole thing. Lynx said the other students were more interested in him—but not in any flattering way—than learning. I think they might've asked him to leave because of it but I'm not sure.
"So, anyways," Hunter says, and shifts the subject as if he didn't hear her. "If you want to stay, and you want to be with us for a spell, you can. For as long as you want. We don't expect you'll want to marry any one of us and settle down up here, so you don't have to worry about that."
"But Luke—" she says and I shush her. Hunter runs his thumb across her lips to silence her protest.
She flicks out her tongue and licks his finger, then flushes prettily, like she just couldn't help herself and is embarrassed.
"You taste yourself on my fingers, sunshine?" he asks. She nods. "You taste real good, don't you, baby?"
That gets another nod out of her.
"Like I told you, snapdragon"—I give her shoulder a squeeze—"don't you worry about a thing. Luke's bark's a hell of a lot worse than his bite.
"Before long, Luke'll be begging for your kisses. Just you wait," Hunter says.
I'm not so sure about that.
"But—"
"You're coming back to the cabin with us and that's that," Hunter says.
"I can't, not if Luke is going to move out…I can't go back to the cabin. I can't tear you all apart." She groans and before either of us can ask what's wrong, she says quickly, "Actually, no. I'd like to head back to the cabin right now and take a bath."
She's scrambling to her feet. Snatching up Hunter's T-shirt and pulling it over her head. It fits her like a dress, hanging completely off one shoulder, and she looks so sexy I want to rip it off and fuck her again.
"Um…you two have to go fishing or something, probably, right? So you go do that and I'm going to the cabin to take a bath. I can find my own way back."
I am real confused. But women do tend to change their minds real quick-like, I guess.
Hunter stands too, and he swoops her up before she can get more than a couple steps away. "I don't think so, darlin'. We'll all go back to the cabin, but not right this minute."
"But I really would like a bath—" She's fidgeting, an antsy look in her eye.
"Oh, sunshine, if you want a bath, you're going to get a bath, all right," he says with a chuckle. "But if you're gonna be staying with us, well…the tub ain't how we best like to wash up and you know that."
