Chapter 20
CHAPTER 20
I n the end, Beth conceded to Angus’s demands. After Jack had taken care of the food situation, he stayed downstairs to help with the bartending since she didn’t want to close the bar.
Angus and Brodie had taken her upstairs and had her take a shower before getting in the bed. Neither man had left her side, as they both slid in the bed with her.
Angus sliding in behind her and Brodie sliding in front of her. Both men had a hand on her stomach, their thumb rubbing back and forth over her mound.
“The wee one has to be Angus’s with how big you already are. He’s the biggest of us all.” Brodie smirked down at her belly.
“Well, technically, the babies are small and according to the doctor I’m on track weight and size wise.”
“Babies?” Angus asked, lifting his head to look down at her in surprise.
“Yes. I’m having twins.” Beth admitted, smiling down as she put her hand over theirs where the babies lay.
“Are you going to find out who the father is?” Brodie asked, lifting her chin up to him.
“No. Because no matter who’s the biological father, they were made with all three of you. To me, they were created with love. Maybe that love was on my part, but none-the-less, to me, they belong to all three of you.” Beth admitted, staring Brodie straight in the eyes at her confession.
“Ah, lass. Haven’t you figured it out by now? We love you, too. It was hell for us those months we were in the desert trying to deal with our target. All we could think about was you. When we got home and my mum informed me that my uncle’s barrister had contacted her about the bar and a few other things, all I could think about was that was our sign.”
“Wait, your mom has known about the will and everything this whole time? No one has told me what I needed to do with the bar.” Beth asked, confusion in her voice.
“Beth, my uncle left you and me in charge of the bar. We are co-owners. He knew Doug would keep sniffing around you, especially when he died, so he made me part owner of the bar he named after me to set us up. He and my mum had actually kept in touch through the years through the letters, like I told you. She knew about you and had agreed with him about setting us up. She had waited until we returned to tell me about the will and everything else.”
“So, what happens now? I mean, your lives are in the UK and the bar is here in the US.”
“Our contract with the military is up. We have a visa to stay in the US. Aside from the bar, we will be opening a security business here in the US that already has several US and UK government contracts.”
Beth sat up as much as the two men would allow her at the news that Brodie had just given her. Could she truly have her dreams with all four men?
“H-how would this work? I mean, the three of you with me, I want that, if that’s what you guys want. But how would it work? I mean, this place isn’t big enough for all three of us. It barely was big enough for Mac and I.” Beth asked, biting her lower lip as she looked around her room.
“We will find a house big enough for all of us and the wee ones. The four of us will fit in one bed lass. The week we were together should have proven to you how well we know you and your body and what it needs. We can make this work, if you want to. We want to, but you are the one who makes that ultimate decision.” Brodie advised her, his hands entwined with hers.
“Just know, Beth, if you agree to be ours, we are in control when it comes to your safety. We will listen to what you have to say and take it into consideration. But your safety, your wellbeing, the wee one’s safety and wellbeing are ours to control. You are our everything. In the bedroom, Jack, Brodie and I control this sweet body of yours.” Angus warned her as he rubbed his thumb over her belly, sending her body up in flames.
“The bar?” Beth asked, her body heating up from desire and need.
“We will help you run it while we are getting things set up with the security business. We will agree to you working one or two nights a week on busy nights. But, the rest of the time, you need to have someone you trust to run the bar the rest of the time. Especially if one or two of us heads out on assignment until we can afford to hire more people. One of us will always remain behind to make sure you and the wee ones are taken care of.” Brodie told her, his forehead touching hers now.
“What about marriage?” Beth hesitantly asked, working her lower lip between her teeth.
“We have discussed that. With our ties to Mac, and his wish, according to the will, if you’re ok with it, you and I will be the ones to get married in the legal sense of things. But make no mistake, Beth, you belong to all three of us.” Brodie answered her, waiting for her answer.
“Okay. I can do that, as long as the other two are ok with it. I don’t want to cause problems between the three of you.”
“Ah, sweet Beth. You wouldn’t be. Jack and I agree with it. It’s what Mac would have wanted. He knew about our lifestyle and felt that you being married to Brodie would offer you the protection that we can’t give you with his family name. If anything happens to one of us, you will have the others and Brodie’s family’s protection and backing, no matter what for you and the wee ones.”
