I couldn't believeDaisy felt the same way I did. I couldn't wait to marry her and have her in my life every day. I saw the sadness in her eyes when Alec handed her the photo of her girls. Then she shook it off.
"Sweetheart, I'm not asking you to forget your girls and their father; you can share any story you want with the boys and me."
"Thank you. I already knew you didn't mind. Tom was my ex-husband, and the girls were visiting him for the weekend when they were killed. The police thought that Tom had caused the pile-up. I always wondered if he did it on purpose. So I will enjoy telling you about my girls; I'll never talk about my ex-husband."
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought it up. We're going to dinner at Rebel's. We have some things to go over, so all the guys will be there, and you can visit your friends. We'll leave for Reno tomorrow," I said, wrapping my arms around her.
"I'm so excited. If you change your mind, please tell me before we get married," Daisy said.
I turned her toward me. "Daisy, I will never change my mind. I love you, and I'll always love you. But if you have second thoughts, tell me."
"I would marry you right now if I could. I'll never change my mind," she stood on her toes and kissed me. "I can't wait until tonight."
There was a crowd at the Bellmonts' home, and now they wanted to celebrate Daisy and me getting married tomorrow.
"I didn't even know the two of you were dating," Steel said, grinning.
"We weren't, but I loved her, and she loved me, so now we're both going to do what we've wanted to do since we met. I mean, we have done what we wanted since we met. I found out Daisy loved me, and I already knew I loved her, so we're getting married tomorrow," I explained while Daisy sat there smiling the entire time.
I walked to her, picked her up, kissed her, and then turned to our friends. "I am the luckiest man around."
"You better take lots of pictures. I want to see all of them," Benni said, looking at us.
"We will take plenty of photos; in fact, we'll hire someone to take the photos so we can have some made for us," I said, pulling Daisy onto my lap. Her face turned red, so I let her up.
"So, are you taking some time off?" Steel asked.
"I'm taking a month off. We're going to enjoy some of the theme parks in southern California. And then Daisy and I are going on a honeymoon."
"We are? Where are we going?"
"We'll decide that together. Where would you like to go?"
"I don't know. I used to want to go to Spain, but I never went," Daisy said.
"Then that is where we will go. We'll find a hotel and get our airline tickets when we get home."
Daisy sat back on my lap and kissed me.
"If you two want to go home early, I'll bring the boys home in a couple of hours," Reaper said.
Daisy looked at me, and then she burst into laughter. "Reaper, you haven't changed since high school," Daisy said.
He grinned. "The boys can stay with me when you go on your honeymoon," Reaper said. "I can play basketball as well as Daisy can."
"If he has to leave, they can still stay with me," Evie said, smiling at the couple. "You're getting married before me. We'll throw you a party when you get back."
"I appreciate that, and I'll take you up on it," I said, standing. "I think we need to get home and make sure everything is taken care of for our trip tomorrow."
