34. Daisy

I knewmy face was red; I looked in the mirror and saw how flushed I was. How could I walk out there and act normal? The man"s face had been between my thighs, for Christ"s sake, and I was down on him. This was the first time I ever wanted to please a man as much as I wanted to please Raider.

"Good morning," I said, walking into the kitchen.

Raider turned from the stove and smiled. Then, with a spatula in his hand, he walked to me and kissed me right in front of anyone who might walk into the kitchen. Thankfully, no one did.

"You'll have to get used to this, sweetheart. I'm going to kiss you and make love to you every chance I get. I've wanted you since the moment you walked into my house."

"You better get used to it, too, because I'm going to wrap my arms around you every chance I get," I said, wrapping my arms around him, standing on my tiptoes, and kissing him. "Would you be angry if I said I love you?"

"Sweetheart, I love you more than I've ever loved a woman. I want to be with you forever. Will you please marry me?"

"YES!" Both boys shouted.

"You heard them. Yes, I will marry you. I love all of you so much. I never liked going home, and now I won't have to. Yes, we are going to be a family," the boys ran to us and threw their arms around us. I cried like a baby, but the boys said that was okay because they might have dropped a few tears too.

We sat at the table eating our pancakes, and all of us kept smiling. "When are we getting married?" Alec asked.

I looked at Raider. "How about we swing by Reno and get married there on our way to Universal Studios," I suggested.

"That's perfect. Why don't we leave a day early?"

"So we'll leave tomorrow?" I asked.

"Yes, I'll take care of the tickets and the hotel. I'll take you to get some of your things after we eat. You'll be staying here from now on," I readily agreed because I knew we would make love as soon as we got to my house.

"Okay, thank you," I said, tearing up again. Alec ran over and hugged me. "Are you happy you'll be our mom?"

"I am so happy, sweetie. I already love you and Sean so much, and I love your dad more than anything. So I know we will be very happy."

"We love you too," Alec said, leaning his head on my shoulder. I put my arms around him and looked at Sean, who came over and hugged me. "You are already our mom; now we can call you Mom."

"Yes, you can. You two are going to have me crying like a baby," I said, holding both of them in my arms. I looked over at Raider, and his eyes were moist.

When the boys jumped in the truck, we forgot about going to my house alone. So I packed all of my suitcases, and Alec brought my picture of my baby girls. I knew they were in heaven, and I would see them again one day, but I missed them every day.

I kissed Alec's cheek. "Thank you. I'll put this photo in my suitcase," I said. It was a photo of my baby girls—I have one of them and my ex-husband, but I had already put that away. No one will ever take the memories or the love I had for my girls.

"Don't you want a big wedding with your friends?" Raider asked.

"No, I only want you and the boys. It's this family I love. You're all I need."

He walked to me and took my hand. "I love you, and you have made me happier than I've ever been. The other happiest day was the day my boys were born." He bent his head and kissed me.
