7. Davi
Chapter 7
Davi
I hold on tight to Becca's hand as we tour Rio and I show her my hometown. It's not that I'm worried she will wander off, but that I can't stop holding onto her and touching her. She makes my soul sing, and my blood boil. I can't get enough of kissing her and curling around her. I want her to be as loved up on her as possible, so she knows exactly what it's like to be a man's pure focus.
It's a struggle not to let the time creep in and remind me she'll be gone in two days. I fear the loss of her, and yet I'm still able to hold her in my arms. It's like having perfection, but still knowing perfect doesn't exist.
We finish one of the market centers, and I wave a car down and open the door for her to crawl in. I tell the driver where to go, and Becca glances at me. "Where are we going?"
I smile and caress my thumb along her jawline. "You'll see."
Becca sighs and leans against me as I point out monuments and landmarks as we meander through the city. I want to take her around when it's dark, and the nightlife is alive. The city has a pulse all its own, and it's exquisite to participate in. It's not just for the youth and rebels. The clubs will have people in their seventies enjoying the nightlife just as well. Life is meant to be lived, and Brazilians know this and embrace it.
The driver parks at the edge of the jungle, and Becca stiffens and widens her eyes as she gazes around.
" Mi Amor , I promise you're safe with me. This is the National Park of Tijuca, this is a rainforest inside our city." I hand over some money to the driver but ask him to wait for us.
I move around the car, open the door, and assist Becca out. Her hand easily falls into mine, and my chest puffs up at how easily she accepts my touch.
We stroll through the forest as I point out different flowers, trees, birds, and wildlife. It's amazing to share such a beautiful space with the most gorgeous woman on Earth, rivaling the habitat around us. A little wild. A little sweet. A little loud. A little timid. My Anjo is all these things.
I explain, "The mountains are covered in snow about eighty percent of the year, and they make the most breathtaking view. The skies are never-ending. It's a great place to grow up and raise a family, and I've never lived anywhere else."
We continue to walk and her eyes are big as the sun as she takes in every plant. Occasionally I have to tell her not to touch something as the jungle has hidden horrors that not everyone understands.
"There are jaguars, jumping spiders, and the juma in this rainforest."
"Juma?"
"The Natives say that the juma's smell is so potent that people who smell it faint. Legend says that it is a trapped shaman who was punished after finding the key to immortality."
"Wow, I love lore like that! Have you seen one?"
"No, but my scientist cousin has and he agrees with the thought that it's a ground sloth thought to have been extinct for over 9000 years."
"That would be amazing to see." She seems so at ease that I wonder if anything can ruin this moment.
"What do you do for fun?" I ask.
"Oh, well, I'm a sports enthusiast, even though I'd never been to a surfing event until yesterday and I can say it won't be my last."
As an athlete, I can't help but appreciate her even more for this.
"I love baseball and hockey. My friend Harper's dad coaches the Frostwolves Hockey team back in Colorado, so I see the games frequently."
A splinter of jealousy races along my skin and tumbles into my gut. She's around athletes constantly— men who are in physical peak condition. I try to push the feeling down, but it stays lit as I try to work it all out. I don't normally experience jealousy, but having her leaving in such a short time, I can't help but encounter a flood of emotions.
I continue to ask my questions so I can learn everything about her. She's so fascinating, and I'll never tire of knowing her.
Becca cocks her head. "I have to be boring you. Why so many questions?"
"You can never be boring. You're the most fascinating creature. I want to know it all."
"How are you not taken?"
"Mostly because I'm always gone, and most women can't understand that I travel thirty weekends of the year."
"I couldn't make a relationship work when I lived five blocks away from the guy. I bet that's hard on a relationship."
Our hands stay entwined as we walk along the path. " Sim , it can be, but with the right person who understands and is strong enough to know that I'll be back and that I am loyal, it can work."
"My trust of men is wonky right now."
With a mock look, I bump her shoulder playfully and say, "You don't say…"
Becca's head falls back as she laughs, and she says, "My boyfriend told me all these great things, and then one day, he was gone. He texted that he couldn't do us anymore and didn't want to try to make it work. I was blindsided."
I shake my head and wrap my arm around her shoulder. " Mi Amore , men can be so insensitive, and I can't say I'm perfect, but I try to be understanding and never dismissive of your fears. That's what I promise."
We come out of the lush green forest into a little open area with a beautiful waterfall that attracts many people but never many tourists. It's a local secret that we don't want to be tarnished. Orchids and hibiscus are everywhere, dominating the field of vision with all their different colors. Frogs and birds are seen bathing in the sun and enjoying their baths. Becca gasps as her eyes hungrily take in every inch of beauty.
Glancing around, I'm pleased to see we have the place to ourselves, which can be a rarity.
Becca makes excited sounds as she walks around, and I love seeing the place through her eyes. It's like I'm watching it through a movie, and it's even more beautiful than I remember.
"Wow, it's so beautiful… amazing."
"Come. We can walk under the falls. It's said to be good luck for lovers."
Becca smirks as she takes my hand and squeals as the water falls over us. I laugh and glance over my shoulder as lust consumes me. Her white shirt leaves nothing to the imagination, and without a second thought, I reach for her and kiss her as if the world will come to an end in three seconds.
And if it does, I will be complete.
Her moans excite me further, and I have her shorts unbuttoned and my hand inside her panties in no time. Her hand snakes between us, and she strokes my hard-on through my shorts, and I grow bigger, wanting her soft hands around me.
I thrust a finger and then a second inside of her to make her ready, and then I drop her shorts and panties down while she undoes my shorts and pulls me out. I lift her, and she wraps her legs around me. I thrust in and lean her back against the slick rocks of the cave.
"Let me hear you, mi amore . Be as loud as you need."
She doesn't hesitate as I take what I need and give her what she desires. Becca pulses around me, and her walls constrict my cock, and I come right after her. Every time is the next most electric moment of my life. I've never been so consumed so quickly before. So ready to make this woman forever mine. I know in my head and my heart that she is the one for me. Soulmates, or as my mother would say, "Almas gêmeas."
Nuzzling her neck, she giggles as she leans her head back. I kiss along her neck, jawline, and up to her ear.
I whisper, just loud enough over the roar of the water, "I love you." I can't hold it back. I can't hold back my feelings. I need to leap and pray she'll catch me.
Becca freezes and pushes on my shoulder, forcing me to lean back. "What did you say?"
"Becca, I love you. I want to be with you forever."
She wiggles against me, and I help her down as we both hiss as I draw from her body. The nerves raw, but I can see they will be nothing compared to what I'm about to experience. She pulls her shorts up, and I get myself situated.
"Davi, I care for you. I think you know that. And I think we have something right here and now, but I've said those words too quickly before, and I don't want to get hurt again."
My heart aches, but it's not a full-on rejection. "I will show you that I mean it. Hopefully, you will feel it too."
