Chapter 11
Okay, so this isn't exactly how we wanted the night to go. The plan was to make sure we secured a room beforehand. The one way to do that was to invite an omega to take us back to the room.
Obviously, there was only one omega we wanted, but we were told Jade wasn't an option. When we asked why, Travis—one of the managers—said Jade only worked as a bartender and server.
The fact that Jade doesn't sleep with clients has me way more relieved than I have any right to be. Just thinking about her fucking all these rich assholes makes me want to stab someone.
Anyway, this wasn't how we wanted Jade to find us. Not that the idea of my girl watching us didn't turn me the fuck on.
God, I almost drowned Everett in my cum with how hard that orgasm hit me. Watching him struggle to swallow was hot as hell.
We were supposed to find Jade, get her up here, and talk to her alone without everyone around.
It wasn't easy getting back into this club. We had to call in our connections and have them talk us up before we were allowed. This time, we wanted to avoid a scene and not get kicked out again.
Our goal was to talk to Jade, get everything out in the open, and get our girl back. Simple, right?
Not exactly, because dear, sweet, horny Everett was all worked up and started freaking out that Jade would turn around and walk back out of our lives. We had to calm him down with the only way that works.
Sex.
We kind of got lost in the moment. But to be honest, it was a really good fucking moment, which only got better when Jade walked her sexy little ass in here.
The look on her face when she saw us had me panicking, but the way her arousal filled the room with the scent of sweet peaches and cream nearly had me blowing my load down Everett's throat.
She liked what she saw, and I could have kissed Zane for pushing her limits. Watching her finger herself and the blissed-out look on her face... it was everything. But when her cries of pleasure filled the room as she came around her fingers like a good fucking girl, that was heavenly, pure fucking bliss.
With her being our scent match, it was damn near impossible not to go feral over the smell of her sweet slick. To claim her, mark her, make her rightfully ours. But that wouldn't have gone over well at all.
I want nothing more in my life than to know what it feels like to hear her scream my name as she"s cumming around my knot.
It was clear right away that Jade didn't know what we are to each other, that we were her scent matches. After talking to a few of the girls when we got here, I found out that a lot of them use alpha-blockers of some kind to drown or eliminate the ability to smell alphas. I guess it helps them do their jobs without being distracted.
But we sure as fuck can smell her. And it's taking everything in me not to grab her and throw her on the bed, to shove my face between her legs and eat that mouth-watering pussy.
The guys and I will need to have a chat to see what we want to do about Jade being so unaware. I'm seeing this as an opportunity for Jade to find her way back to us on her own instead of feeling like it's the bond that is altering her mind and taking her choice away.
I know Everett would agree with me on this, but Zane? Yeah, I have a feeling my broody, crazy man, isn't going to be so lenient when it comes to Jade. His mind is all about getting Jade back, no matter the cost.
First, we need to have a talk and find out just what the fuck has happened over the past six years and why it lead to us being apart.
Jade spins around, a mask of extreme fury on her face. "Do not use a fucking alpha bark on me!"
"I had to. You were about to walk out of the fucking room again without talking to us. And that"s not fucking happening," Zane snarls. Everett groans, a grimace on his face as Zane pulls out of his ass.
"I don't want to talk to you. None of you." She crosses her arms and scowls at Zane. She's so stunning. Jade has grown from a beautiful girl to the most gorgeous woman I've ever laid eyes on.
Her green eyes are bright with rage, her red hair vibrant. My brain feels like it's short-circuiting from the thick scent of her slick. So much slick.
I glare at the side of Zane's head, insanely jealous he got to have a taste of her.
"Please, Tiny. Just talk to us. All we need is ten minutes of your time, that's it." Everett moves, pulling the blanket around his waist to cover up his dick.
I snort. "A little late to be all modest now, babe, don't you think? She just watched us double-team the fuck out of you." Everett's cheeks heat.
"Ten minutes? And then I'm free to leave?" she asks, narrowing her eyes. I've got to give it to her, she has better restraint than most women do around us. Our cocks are just hanging out, catching on the breeze, and her eyes haven't strayed once.
I know they want to, and I inwardly preen. My cock is pretty impressive if I do say so myself.
"Fuck no," Zane scoffs, and Everett slaps his arm, glaring at him.
"Yes," Everett tells her. "If, after that, you don't want to stay and talk more, we will leave you alone."
It's my turn to scoff, only I keep my mouth shut. No fucking way were we ever going to give up that easily. Not after we spent so long looking for her.
"Fine," she mutters. "Am I free to sit back down?" She raises a brow at Zane. Oh, I'm so going to love the sass from her. It's new, refreshing. Not that I didn't love Jade how she was before. She always had a bit of sassiness to her, but this is a whole new level. Zane's going to love punishing the brattiness right out of her if that"s even possible.
"Yes," Zane grits. "You may sit."
"Oh, thank you so much, King Zane. It means the world to me that I have your approval," she deadpans with a thick layer of sarcasm coating her tone.
Be still, my fucking heart. I'm so madly in love with this girl. My eyes find Everett, and we share a secret smile. God, that mouth on her, it's so damn hot.
"Watch your mouth," Zane growls as Jade takes a seat on the chair she was sitting on before. The one with her slick drying on it. That thought alone makes my cock twitch.
"Or what?" she asks, crossing her legs and placing her arms on the chair like a queen.
"I'll spank that ass until it's good and red," he snarks.
"Only if you want me to shove my heel into your dick." She smiles sweetly.
"Fucking hell, this foreplay is making me hard again," I groan, squeezing the base of my cock.
"What?" she splutters. "We are not—we—ugh, whatever. Can you all just get dressed so we can talk? Time's ticking."
"Yes, ma'am." I shoot her a wink before climbing off the bed. Jade tries everything not to look when I bend over, giving her a nice view of my ass as I pick my pants up and slip them on. I toss Everett his clothes as Zane pulls on his own pants and shirt. We all look thoroughly fucked with our shirts unbuttoned and our hair all disheveled.
We all sit at the end of the bed. It"s still crazy to think this is real. Jade, our sweet best friend, is sitting right in front of us.
"Let's start with you three. So, you"re together now?"
"We are." Everett nods.
"Is it a sex thing, or are you all... in love?" she asks, her cheeks turning pink as she chews her lower lip.
"It's love." I chuckle, looking at the other two. "Always has been. Just didn't feel safe to explore it until we were out from under their thumbs." I scoff at the last part. "We're not all lovey dovey and romantic about it; we do a pretty good job keeping it to ourselves, not that we're ashamed or anything, but the media loves to twist things into something they're not. Manipulate things for better ratings."
"Makes sense why you didn't come back for me," she whispers, looking away. "Why would you when you had each other?"
"We did go back for you," Zane insists.
"When?" Her eyes snap over to his. "Because, trust me, I'd fucking know."
"About a year after we left." Everett picks up the conversation. "We knew if we ever made it big, life would be crazy. Free time would be limited, and we'd spend most of the time working our asses off. But nothing prepared us for Boom Voice Records. We hardly had time to breathe, and when we did, they used that time to fill it with something else, anything else. We hardly had time to sleep."
"I know," Jade sighs. "I remember you talking to me about it."
"We didn't mean to go so long in between talking. It's just when you"re in this haze, it's hard to think about anything but what's expected of you. And we're sorry for that. But why did you stop responding to us altogether? We were trying, Jade. We were working our asses off for our future. All of us, you included."
"I didn't stop talking to you." She gapes at us. "Are you fucking kidding? You"re the ones who just went radio silent on me. You"re the ones who just one day stopped fucking texting, calling, or video-chatting with me. I texted every day for weeks, months! And got nothing!"
My heart caves in on itself when I see her eyes well with tears. "You"re the ones who got all big and fucking famous and forgot about me!"
Confusion and panic rise in me as I look at the guys. Everett looks crushed, and Zane looks pissed.
"We never got them," Everett whispers. "We didn't get any of them."
"What?" Jade blinks back angry tears. "How? How is that even possible?"
"I don't fucking know, but I sure as fucking hell plan on finding out," Zane growls. He looks seconds away from losing his shit.
"So, you didn't ignore us? Because, Jelly Bean, we texted you. And when you never replied, we started acting up like a bunch of crazy men. Our calls kept going to voicemail, and texts kept being delivered, but they were never read."
"Mine too," she whispers. "I did the same. But I didn't get through because you blocked me."
"None of us blocked you, Trouble," Zane states. "Why on earth would we want to do that? You"re our best friend, our other half. A life without you was not even a thought in our minds. That"s why when we thought you blocked us, we were ready to hop on a plane and come to check for ourselves."
"You were going to come back?" she asks. Her face scrunches up as she thinks it over. Then, all of a sudden, it's like a door slamming shut, and she does a complete one-eighty. "No, you're lying. You"re all lying. If that were true, why didn't you actually come back?"
"We wanted to! But you didn't live there anymore." My brows furrow. Something"s not right here, something"s not adding up.
She laughs in disbelief. "Didn't live there anymore? Are you kidding me? I fucking wished."
"They fucking lied to us." Zane shoots to his feet, a look so deadly even I lean away from him. "I knew they were fucked up, but this? Why do this!!" he roars.
"Who lied?" Jade jumps to her feet now. "What the hell is going on?"
As my pulse picks up, I start to feel a little sick.
"When we couldn't get a hold of you, we called Karen, hoping she wouldn't be a raging bitch and let us talk to you. She told us you didn't live there anymore. She said that the first opportunity she got, she had you shipped off to another foster home out of state. When we demanded to know where you were sent to, she refused to tell us. And when Zane—" Everett looks toward the man in question as he paces the room like a crazy man, "demanded she tell us, or we would come down there ourselves, she threatened to call the cops on us. We tried to offer them money, a crazy amount too, for them to tell us where they sent you, but they wouldn't take the bribe. She just hung up the phone."
"No." Jade shakes her head, her body trembling as she stumbles, falling back onto the chair. "I didn't get moved. I—I was still living there. I didn't leave, not until—" her face goes pale, and all the warning bells inside me go off. "Not until I turned eighteen."
"See!" Zane roars, picking up a lamp and tossing it across the room, sending it shattering to the floor. "They fucking lied to us."
"Would you chill the fuck out," I snap. "You"re going to get us kicked out!"
"Fuck you!" He gets in my face. "We just found out that those fucking sacks of shit screwed up our lives. I will not calm down."
"Why would they do that? Why would they lie?" Everett asks.
"Why wouldn't they?" I counter. "They hated us. All of us. I wouldn't be surprised if they lied just to hurt us."
"I hate them." More tears fill her eyes. "I fucking hate them."
"I'm going to kill them." Zane storms toward the door. Jumping up, I run after him and pull him back.
"Stop!" I shout in his face. "Sit the fuck down, now! We are not going out and killing anyone. We'll find out the why and how of everything later. Right now, we need to talk. About everything."
Zane looks over at Jade, who's so visibly not okay. I can tell he wants to go over to her, pull her into his arms, and make everything better, but I don't think that"s the right move for any of us right now.
She's like a scared deer, ready to run at the slightest movement.
"We hired a PI," Everett starts. "But he told us because you were underage, there wasn't much he could do for us. We tried what we could ourselves, but you blocked us on all your social media."
"No, I didn't," Jade denies, looking at the three of us frantically. "I swear, I didn't block you on anything. I didn't change my number. I didn't move. All I did was sit and wait. Wait for you to come back for me. And over time, I realized that wasn"t going to happen and—" She looks away. "It doesn't matter now. I lived with those horrible people until I was eighteen, and then I got the fuck out of there."
"Not being able to investigate an underage person, I could understand. But that doesn't explain why Mark didn't find anything once she turned eighteen," Everett directs toward us.
"Who's Mark?" Jade asks.
"The PI we hired. The label recommended him." I look to her.
"You didn't change your name? Make it hard for anyone to find you if they were looking for you?" Zane asks.
"No." She shakes her head. "I mean, I've been very good at keeping my life private. The night I left, I went straight to an omega center. They're very big on protecting their clients' privacy. So, I felt very safe there. And then, I started working at The High Roller, and moved into the apartments they provided. I did well at keeping a low profile."
"Why would you have wanted that?" I ask her, something telling me the answer isn't going to be one we like.
"Doesn't matter." She gives me a blank look before closing her eyes. "This is a lot to take in."
"What"s there to take in?" Zane asks. "Someone fucked with us, and I'm going to find out who," Zane growls, running a hand through his hair aggressively, grabbing a fistful and tugging. "It was all one big fuck up. You didn't ignore us." He laughs. "You didn't kick us from your life or give up on us." He laughs again, and I look at Everett with concern. He's losing it. Understandably, but still.
"It was all just one big misunderstanding." He grins.
"You"re fucking with me, right?" Jade scowls at him.
"No." He shakes his head. "Don't you see, Jade? We can do what we've always planned. We can be together, as a family now."
"What the hell are you smoking?!" Jade jumps to her feet. "Are you crazy? I'm just as shocked as you are, maybe more so, if I even believe anything you"ve told me. But that doesn't mean just because we all sit down and share our feelings, we're going to pick up where we left off."
"Why the hell not?" Zane's face drops into a fierce glare. "And what do you mean if you believe what we told you? It's the fucking truth."
"Says you." She crosses her arms. "Why wouldn't I believe that this is all some bullshit for you to save your own asses?"
"Jade," he snarls, stepping forward.
She puts a hand up to him. "Even if you were telling the truth, that doesn't mean everything is going to change. I have my life. You have yours. You're big rock stars worth millions, if not billions, by now, and I'm working at a high-end sex club. I love my life, I love my job, and the reality is that we are not on the same path in life. That path veered off in different directions a long time ago. Just because you come back into my life and say you"re sorry doesn't mean I'm going to drop everything to fall at your feet." She licks her lips, trying her best to be strong. "I'm not the same girl you knew growing up."
"Yes, you are," Zane growls, moving closer to her again as she takes a step back. "You are our Jade. My Trouble." He points to me. "His Jelly Bean." Then pointing to Everett, says, "And his Tiny. It doesn't matter how much time has gone by, that will never change. We are leaving soon for an international tour, and we're not leaving without you."
"The fuck?" Jade gapes at him. "I'm not going anywhere, sure as hell not on tour with you. Are you fucking nuts?" She shakes her head. "This is all too much. My head is pounding, and I need time to think. I—I can't even process any of this right now. Leave your number with Travis, and I'll call you when I'm ready."
She throws the door open and storms off down the hallway.
"Jade!" Zane shouts after her. "Get your ass back here right fucking now."
She doesn't stop and tosses him the finger over her shoulder.
"Come on!" he snaps at us.
Quickly, we run down the hall after her.
By the time we make it to the bottom of the stairs, we're just in time to see Jade leave through the front door.
"Fuck. We're going to lose her," Everett curses.
"Not if I can help it," Zane says, rushing toward the door. We ignore security yelling at us as we look both ways down the street. "There she is," Zane says, pointing to Jade's retreating back.
We take off down the street, catching up to her.
"Jade," Zane barks. "Stop right fucking now."
"No!" she shouts back. "You"re fucking crazy, and I'm done with this conversation."
"Oh, fuck," I groan, running a hand down my face. Zane starts to shake, anger consuming him completely. He's gonna lose it. He's going to fucking lose it.
"You wanna see how fucking crazy I am, Trouble?" he threatens. "I'll fucking show you."
"Zane," Everett hisses out in a warning tone, but it does nothing to stop Zane as our crazy lover pulls a needle out of his back pocket. "You"re mine," he snarls. A second later, he's jamming the needle into her neck.
I cringe, praying she doesn't hate us even more when she wakes up. She gasps, eyes going wide before they flutter closed. Zane pulls the needle out and catches her now limp body.
"I'm never letting you go, Jade. You're mine; ours. We finally found you, and we can't lose you again," he murmurs, kissing her forehead.
"Lovely. So, we're in the kidnapping game now? Awesome," I sass. But I'm going to be honest, I knew he would do something like this, and I didn't do anything to stop him. Didn't want to. Jade is ours, our scent match, and she's never leaving our sight again.
