18. Chapter 18
Chapter eighteen
Ajay
A Week later.
Ajay's stomach was doing flips like an Olympic gymnast as he waited for Tim "Tiny Tim" Davis to enter the visitors' area. It had been almost a month since he was finally able to get clearance to visit his boyfriend and he knew that was because of the DEA preventing him. He had no idea what kind of strings Dasan pulled to get him access, but he was more than grateful because he missed TT.
The doors opened and Ajay rose, a smile on his face as the big tattooed biker walked through the doorway. TT returned Ajay's smile as he made his way over to him, taking his man into his arms. They gave each other a quick kiss before taking their seats.
"God, I missed you so much," Ajay beamed as he looked over his man. "I hate that I never got a chance to say goodbye the last time."
TT nodded. "Yeah, that fucking sucked. I didn't know what the hell had happened to you. I was going fucking crazy. That's when the Warden told me that your partner had taken you out of here. Then I got a visit from my club after your... true Hell Week test and they told me everything."
"I'm glad you weren't kept in suspense for too long," Ajay said.
"I would have torn this place apart if anything had happened to you in here," TT said.
Awwww, Ajay thought and he smiled. Never had any man he'd ever been with make him feel this cherished.
"Are you okay in here?"
"Yeah, I'm good. Baby, I missed you, too. Fuck, you look so damn good," TT said, admiring who and what belonged to him.
Ajay blushed a little, his cheeks reddening ever so slightly at the compliment. "You look great too. Jesus, you're built like a fucking brick wall."
"All of this is for you, baby," TT said, then gestured to his body.
"And I can't wait to have it all to myself once you're free."
TT sighed and nodded. "Yeah, gotta little bit more time to go. But it won't be much longer."
Ajay nodded, he'd received updates on Tim and Dragon from other members of the club and knew that his husband had tried to frame TT by having a guard store contraband in his cell. That little violation would have gotten TT extra time added to his sentence, but the Warden backed TT's claim that it wasn't his.
When Ajay asked about that, Dasan only said that the Warden knew who to fuck with and who not to fuck with. That had been good enough for Ajay.
"Please be careful in here, baby. I don't think my husband is going to give up. He still hasn't signed the papers yet," Ajay said.
"That motherfucker is more trouble than he's worth, in my opinion. Right now, he's just a nuisance and one I'll deal with once I'm out. But anything more and he'll be invited to his own party where my brothers will show him one hell of a good time," TT said.
Ajay swallowed, but didn't say anything. He knew what the coded term meant.
TT cocked an eyebrow. "Are you okay with that?"
Ajay cleared his throat. "Not really, but I'll understand. If you're asking me if I'll try to intervene, I won't. Like you said, it was his mistake. If he can't let me go, then he leaves us no other choice."
"For your sake, I will try to avoid it," TT said.
Ajay nodded. He might have wanted nothing more to do with Kevin, but the man was still someone he had spent years of his life with. Someone he had shared his body with and had loved once upon a time. He didn't want to see Kevin dead, but he didn't want to see Tim dead even more and if he had to choose between the two, he was picking Tim every time.
"You do what you have to do, because I want you free and in my bed when your time is done," Ajay said.
"Shit, baby... that's all I want too," TT said, then gave Ajay another quick kiss before the guards could get their panties in a bunch. "How's the club doing?"
Ajay released a heavy sigh. "Shit, it's getting very hot in Chicago and New York. We know it's a matter of time before we see those temps in Fl, too."
TT's eyes bugged out as he leaned closer, because he knew what the code speech meant. "How hot?"
Ajay began to sign in code.
The Jade Dragon Triad attacked us in those locations five days ago. They killed some Lords and Castiellos. That's one of the reasons why I had wanted to see you so badly today, to warn you. Rico and the Lords in New York are getting hit the hardest right now. At first, Rico was handling his business up there taking on three of the five families, but then Da Han Mujin negotiated with the remaining other two families and now it's a fucking free-for-all. Rico and the Lords are getting hit from both sides by all the different factions.
"Fuck," TT gasped and ran his hand over his face, then back down his mohawk. He'd been a Lord for most of his life, but never had they been so deep in this kind of war. Who died? he signed.
Ajay began to tell him their losses and some TT knew and others he didn't.
"Jesus." He shook his head. His heart ached in his chest that felt tight at hearing about some of his club brothers dying. Mainly in New York and some in Chicago.
Members from Los Angeles and Vegas are on their way to New York now to offer reinforcements and I hear Rico is reaching out to his people in Italy for more aid. From what I hear, Wolf and Vito are giving them hell in Chicago, but they took some losses too. The triad has their own bikers and from what I hear, the leader is a fucking psycho. He's also Da Han's youngest brother.
"I hate being stuck in this shithole when my club fucking needs me," TT cursed, a sneer on his handsome face.
Ajay touched the back of his hand that rested on the table. "I know, me too. It was all pretty sudden and so fucking coordinated, it kind of caught us off guard," he said.
"I see," TT said with a frown.
"We're on high alert in Florida, we think they haven't fucked with us because Lords run deep in the state," Ajay said.
TT nodded. "Three hardcore chapters, they're treading lightly. By the way, your signing has gotten much better," TT complimented. "I understood everything you said just now." He thought about all of the fumbles Ajay had before when he had started teaching him.
Ajay gave him a little smile. "Only because Maverick and Cowboy have been teaching me."
TT gave him a little laugh and nodded. "That's good." His smile faded and he sighed again. "Do you know why they decided to show off now?"
"Well, I know the reason why we didn't make the first move, and that's because of what Rico was dealing with. But word is the triad wrapped up their nasty business with the one who betrayed them and now all of their focus is on us. I can bet the DEA is having a field day right now," Ajay whispered.
"Fucking hell," TT groused. Just thinking about the damn DEA made his blood boil and for more than one reason. "Please tell me you're being careful. Make sure no one is following you."
Ajay nodded. "Don't worry. I'm watching my ass out there."
"Good, you better." TT looked at Ajay again, marveling at how beautiful his lover was. "How was your introduction to the club?"
"Ugh," Ajay huffed and TT laughed because he could imagine. "It was rough. Dasan... man... I can see why he's the president. The man is no joke."
"Nope, not even a little bit," TT agreed.
"Maverick and Ace didn't take it easy on me either. Basically, I got my ass handed to me, but afterward, I think I earned their respect," Ajay said.
TT nodded. "Yeah, you did. I knew you would." He shook his head again. "God, it's really bothering me that I can't be by your side and the club's."
"You know about Melissa, right?" Ajay asked.
TT nodded. "Yeah, Maverick's got the kids now. And I heard about Richie's new... shall we say.... herbal remedy. "
Ajay chuckled, thinking back to the moment a naked Richie was dancing on the pool table. "Yeah, it's on hold for the time being until... well, you know."
TT nodded, not needing any further explanation. "I don't like being left out, not when y'all need me. When I tell Dragon, he's going to be even more pissed."
"Me too, baby, but just focus on getting out of here on time. I'll be visiting you every week, okay? I already have it scheduled," Ajay said.
"Don't do that yet. The last thing we need is those fuckers seeing a pattern knowing you're coming out here to see me. I want you safe, so come only when you can," TT said.
As much as Ajay wanted to balk at that, he knew his man was right. "If that's what you want."
"I want you safe."
Ajay sighed as he relented. "I'll come when I can, then."
TT nodded, satisfied with that, then asked more questions about his family and club. Ajay was able to give him the lighter updates that had happened, keeping him informed on all things.
"Time," called out a CO.
"Shit, that just wasn't enough," Ajay fussed.
"Yeah, I know," TT said, then rose to hug his boyfriend.
Ajay held him tightly before he had to let go. They kissed again, then said their goodbyes.
Ajay had to fight the tears that threatened to stream down his cheeks as he looked at the prison. It took everything he had to walk out of the place and leave TT in there. No matter what, he was determined to survive this war because he had someone and something to fight for. He started the engine of his motorcycle and headed back to the clubhouse where he was living. He'd left the house to his husband, one less thing for them to bicker over. And soon, Kevin would be in his past for good.
