23. Fin

twenty-three

Something's bothering our girl, but she won't talk to us, avoiding us at all costs. She even refuses to pass the puck to the three of us, instead either taking it the full length of the ice or only passing it to one of our other teammates when she absolutely has to.

Tonight is our first overnight away game, which means she will be sharing a hotel room with the three of us, and there will be no avoiding us then.

The horn sounds for the end of the first period. We scramble to catch up to Teagan before she escapes into the women's locker room.

"Teagan." I reach for her arm as she opens the door. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing is wrong, Fin. We had a good time. But now it's done. End of story." She shrugs out of my hold and pushes her way into the women's locker room.

Coulter, Royal, and I give each other a what the fuck look before following her.

"What do you mean it's done?" Royal calls after her.

She spins around. Her beautiful violet eyes, flashing fire, "You don't have to pretend anymore; I know all about Selina."

Royal's face turns white, "Who told you about Selina?"

"So it's true. The three of you are with her now." Teagan flops down on a bench, almost as if her legs have given out on her.

"Wait? What? We're not with Selina. We never have been, and we never will be." Royal recovers, the color returning to his face.

"But Mark told me all about last year and what Selina means to the three of you. And I saw her leaving your room today. You were all hugging her." Teagan begins to ramble as we try to figure out what she is talking about.

"Slow down and start from the beginning." Coulter coaxes, taking a seat next to Teagan. He rubs his hand up and down her back in slow, soothing circles.

She tells us all the lies Mark told her about our involvement with Selina. My hands clench at my sides, wanting to punch Mark for hurting our girl.

"We never had a relationship with Selina. Hell, we barely even know her. She was just a pawn in a sick and twisted game her deranged uncle dragged her into. She stopped in to apologize. What you saw in the hallway was the three of us comforting a lost, broken girl who was trying to do the right thing finally and beg our forgiveness." Royal explains.

"So you don't want her?" Teagan looks at each one of us hopefully, and I can see how much of her pride she had to swallow to ask us that question.

Our girl is strong and powerful. I never want her to doubt our feelings for her.

"No, Teagan, we don't want her. We want you. We love you." Coulter puts his arms around Teagan and kisses the top of her head.

"Coulter's right; we love you." I bend down on my knees in front of her, taking her hand and kissing it.

Royal sits down on Teagan's other side and takes her chin in his hand. He turns her head to face his. "You are the only one for us, and don't you ever forget that. We love you and only you." He bends down and kisses the tip of her nose.

"If we do this, there's no going back. You're all mine to do with what I want. No crying that I forced all three of you to take me at the same time. Do you understand?" She taunts us with Royal's words.

"We're sure." We mimic her earlier response to Royal.

"I love all of you too." She wraps her arms around Royal and Coulter, pulling them in for a hug. As for me, Teagan opens her legs wide, grasping my waist between her thighs, and pulls me in to join the group hug.

In this moment, it doesn't matter if we win another championship or get drafted into the NHL; as long as we have the four of us, everything will be just fine.
