22. Bea

“Get your fucking hands off me!”I shout, kicking Jasper, and I hear Parker saying something to him, but I can’t understand him with the ringing in my ear from when the bastard banged my head against the door.

It’s pitch black out here, one small light on the deck letting me see a boat, and then I’m thrown into it. Jasper right behind me not giving me the chance to get out.

The thundering herd of horses echo around me as they start the engine of the speed boat, the vibration hits my body, growling louder, as it picks up speed. The cold air hits my skin like cold ice pebbles. I’m only wearing a tank top, so it’s going to fucking hurt so much more.

Jasper sits on top of me, to stop me from moving. My head is hurting, but I focus on what is about to happen. Thinking about how I’m going to survive this.

The boat stops, and Jasper lifts me, I take a quick look to see if I can see anything, but nothing. Even the light from the moon isn’t helping me see anything. Fucking pitch black, and I’m about to be thrown in.

Come on Bea, you’ve been getting ready for something like this. Hold your breath for as long as you can. You will feel the water vibrate when they leave.

Jasper picks me up, and Parker looks at me. “It’s a shame I’ll never get to taste you. Throw her in.”

The wave hits me like a fucking bullet, I got as much air in my lungs as I could. Everything around me moves in slow motion as my head is pushed under water by Parker.

This is what he did to my brother, I watched him hold him under, the same way he is doing now. My body isn’t listening to me, I’m telling it to relax, and sink, but it’s not listening to me, it’s fighting for air.

This isn’t what I thought this would be like. My lungs begin to burn, everything around me starts to go dark, even darker than it was before, I can’t feel anything around me. My body is numb, I’m losing.
