Synopsis
A Christmas proposal was never part of Lady Noelle’s holiday plans—especially not to Londons most powerful, ruthless businessman.
But when her family faces financial ruin, Noelle makes a shocking deal with Mr. Cooper Hartwell. In exchange for covering her father’s debts, she’ll act as his fiancée for the festive season, helping him charm his way through London’s high society.
What starts as a holiday charade quickly takes a dark turn when a rival of Cooper’s is found murdered at a festive house party—and Cooper becomes the prime suspect. Now, Noelle and Cooper must race to clear his name, facing hidden enemies and tangled secrets in a world of Victorian elegance and intrigue. Can they survive the deadly twists of high society, or will their growing feelings lead them into a trap?
