Chapter Six

Gavin

I woke up with a splitting headache and foggy memories of the previous night. I remembered going to the club and dancing with a man who had slate gray eyes, similar to Richmond"s. I hoped it would be enough to pretend he was the man I actually wanted, so I invited him home with me.

We shared an Uber back here, but then the guy was run off…by Richmond? That didn"t make any sense, but I could almost swear to it. I vaguely remembered Richmond telling me I meant something to him, but then I pushed him? Which also didn"t make any sense.

Maybe I dreamed the whole thing. Maybe I sent the club stranger away, but my wishful thinking placed Richmond in my memories when he wasn"t actually in my home. Maybe I needed him, so my drunken mind created him.

I decided to ask Wade for clues. He was home last night - I think - so he should know what happened. I sat up too quickly and groaned at the pulsing pain in my head and the churning in my stomach.

I threw my legs over the side of the bed and smiled at the bottle of water and two Tylenol lying on my nightstand. Wade must have been home, and was taking care of me. I swallowed the pills and stood upright, only swaying for a moment. I walked my naked ass to my dresser and pulled out a pair of gray sweatpants, which I stepped into ungracefully.

My legs were heavy and sore as I made my way down the hall, but I still smiled when the scent of bacon hit my nose. Bless you, Wade. Wait…Wade can"t cook. The house would be in flames right now.

My feet stopped when I heard a familiar voice ask, "Are you sure you don't want to stay for breakfast? I"m making plenty." Richmond. Okay, maybe it wasn"t just my imagination.

"Nah," Wade"s voice replied. "The two of you need to talk, and I don"t want to be in the way. I"ll just grab some bacon and run. He"ll probably be awake soon."

"I"m not so sure; I took some Tylenol into his room earlier and he was pretty out of it." My heart warmed; it was Richmond looking after me. But why? What was I missing?

"I"ve had lots of hung over mornings with him," Wade argued, "I know his routine. He"ll be up any minute, so I"ll take this and get out of your hair. Good luck and don"t say anything stupid."

"Gee, thanks."

"You"re welcome!"

I waited until I heard the front door open and shut before I shuffled into the kitchen, unsure of what awaited me. I entered the room and found a scene even sweeter than I could"ve imagined; Richmond was standing in front of the stove, dressed in his clothes from the day before, but barefoot. On the counter to his right was a giant stack of pancakes. On the left was a plate full of bacon.

He looked so damn domestic, it made my heart ache with visions of him cooking for me while I slept in the bed we shared. But I shook them away; he"d made it clear he wanted nothing like that with me. So why was he here?

"Good morning," he told me over his shoulder when he heard me enter the kitchen. He turned to face me and his jaw dropped when his gaze landed on my nude upper body. He"d yet to see me with my shirt off, and he seemed to enjoy the view.

I'd put a lot of work into my body over the past several years; my pecs and abs were tight and defined. Richmond's eyes hungrily took in the sight of my torso, and he licked his lips as he gazed at my sweatpants, slung low on my hips. I was grateful my morning chub was still apparent through the fabric.

Richmond finally cleared his throat and lifted his eyes to mine. "How are you feeling?"

"My head hurts and I'm a little queasy, but it's not too bad."

"You're better off than I would be; if I spent the evening drinking, I'd have to spend a week in bed." I'd love to spend a week in bed with you.

I kept my naughty thoughts to myself. I didn't say anything; I was curious why he was there, and what the hell was happening, but I was so thankful he was there and actually speaking to me that I didn't bring it up.

We stood there, staring at one another in silence, until Richmond finally spoke up. "I'm sorry for sending your guest home last night." Okay, so that did happen. "You're right; I shouldn't be making those decisions for you."

I didn't remember saying that, but it didn't surprise me; I tended to be very honest when I was drunk, hence why I ended up telling Wade about my feelings for his dad.

"I'm sorry I did that, if he was who you wanted."

"He wasn't," I replied easily.

"I was hoping you'd say that." Once again, I was unsure how to respond to his mixed messages. "You were wrong about one thing, though."

"What?"

"About me not wanting to be in your life."

"That's not how it seemed a couple of weeks ago."

"You're right, and I apologize for that as well. I take full responsibility for being a dumbass. Please, sit down and eat; some greasy food will make you feel better."

I took a seat at the table and Richmond served me a heaping plate of pancakes and bacon before sliding a bottle of syrup in front of me. He made a second, smaller portioned plate for himself and sat down as well.

I smothered everything in syrup before taking a bite, humming at the sweet flavor. The greasy sugar concoction hit my stomach and instantly cured some of my nausea. "Thanks," I told him around a mouthful.

"Of course." Richmond picked up his fork, but placed it on his plate again with a sigh. "I'd like to try and explain my actions that night." I swallowed hard and nodded, hoping I was ready to hear it.

"When I invited you to the party, I told you I wanted to introduce you to people in the business; to potentially help with your career." I nodded again and he continued, "And then when you took me home, I pounced on you. I acted no better than Mr. Seagraves, and I worried you would think my intentions matched his."

Understanding hit me hard. Richmond worried he was taking advantage of me; that I might have thought I owed him for his party invitation. While I could see where he was coming from, my answer was still, "That's stupid."

Richmond's face scrunched up. "That's what Wade said, too."

"You told Wade?"

He nodded sheepishly. "He could tell something was bothering me and it just kind of came out."

I looked down at my plate when I asked, "What else did he tell you?"

"He…told me a lot of things."

Fuck. It sounded as if my friend had spilled my secret. But instead of worrying about that, I tucked it away for the moment. "Well, I'm sorry, but your thinking was stupid; first of all, I know you, and have for a huge part of my life. I know you would never take advantage of me, or anyone else for that matter. When Mr. Seagraves crossed the line, I told him so. I would've done the same to you if I felt I needed to. I did what I did because I wanted to."

"That was another part of my problem." When I narrowed my eyes, he explained, "Understanding why you wanted me; you're beautiful, fun, and have your whole life ahead of you. I'm twice your age, out of shape, and typically in bed by ten." I chuckled, but his expression was serious.

"I worried that even if you did want me, I wouldn't be enough to keep you around. I thought you'd only be interested in a hookup or one off, which scared me, because I knew it wouldn't be enough for me. My feelings have been growing steadily for you, but I convinced myself you couldn't feel the same way. I guess I let all of my insecurities take control and I lost my head."

My heart slammed against my ribcage. I thought he sent me away because he regretted what we did, but it was out of fear that he'd taken advantage of me, and that I didn't reciprocate his feelings. My head spun and made me feel nauseous again, so I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths to settle myself down. When I opened them again, I found Richmond staring at me nervously.

"I wish you would have talked to me," I told him finally. "I've spent the last two weeks believing the worst."

"I should have," he agreed. "I thought I was doing the right thing by letting you go; I didn't want to pressure you or hold you back. But if I would have just manned up and spoken with you, I would have learned that wasn't the case. I'm just grateful that Wade told me everything. It gave me the courage to make this right…if I still can."

"So…Wade told you about my feelings for you?" This time, I didn"t look away from him. I needed to man up as well. I"d been working on myself for the past four years, and it was time to show it.

"He said you"ve felt this way for a long time." I couldn"t be angry with Wade for sharing this information with his dad. If he hadn"t, we might not be having this conversation.

"I assumed it was an innocent crush at first," I confessed, "But it never went away, and it only got stronger. It didn"t take long to realize I had fallen for you. Of course you didn"t feel the same at the time because that would have been super pervy."

"True," Richmond said with a chuckle.

"But even after I hit legal age, I knew I still had a lot of growing up to do. When I went off to college, I dedicated myself to becoming a better man. I studied hard for my classes, worked as many hours and saved as much money as I could, crafted my body, and gained…experience." The way he clenched his jaw told me he knew exactly what kind of experience I meant.

"Everything I did was to become the best version of myself for you," I continued. "I hoped I would come home and you"d want to be with the man I became. That"s why it hurt so badly when you pushed me away. It felt like every dream I had, everything I worked for, came crashing down."

Richmond reached across the table, offering me his hand, and I happily placed my palm on his. "Gavin, the best version of yourself is whatever makes you happy. You don"t need to do anything to impress me or anyone else. You"re a good man with a good heart, and that"s what matters. I"m sorry I pushed you away. I promise to never do it again."

"I should have been more open with you, too," I conceded. "I was embarrassed and afraid of getting pushed away even more."

Richmond squeezed my hand. "Believe me, I understand. And to be open and honest, there"s still one thing that worries me about us."

"Wade?" I assumed, but Richmond shook his head, causing my panic to rise.

"I was worried about him at first. When you mentioned him at my place, my mind spun with everything that could go wrong if we pursued a relationship; Wade getting pissed or disgusted, or the friendship between the two of you getting damaged. I would never want to cause issues between you; I know how much you mean to Wade."

"He means a lot to me too." It was a gross understatement, but all my worried mind could come up with as I waited for the shoe to drop.

"But I had a long conversation with my son last night. He told me he would be fully on board if you and I got together. He wishes us nothing but happiness."

I nodded. I already knew as much, since Wade had told me many times. "So, what are you worried about?"

"I"m worried that after you"ve dreamed of being together for so long, and built up expectations in your mind, that I"ll disappoint you. I"m worried I won"t stack up to your dreams. I never want to let you down."

I was on my feet and halfway around the table before I realized I"d stood up. I scooted Richmond"s plate away and sat down on the edge of the tabletop. I wanted to be closer so he could see the sincerity in my eyes when I told him, "You could never let me down. You don"t have to do anything special for me, either. I"ve dreamed of being with you because of who you are." I reached out to comb my fingers through his hair. "I just want you."

"I want you, too."

I curled my fingers around the back of his head and pulled him towards me as I leaned forward. Now that I knew we were on the same page, I was fine with taking the lead. Our lips touched and colorful bursts of light danced behind my eyelids as pleasure and excitement coursed through me.

This kiss was even better than our first; it wasn"t marred by uncertainty or nerves. It turned heated just as quickly as last time; our syrupy sweet tongues battled and our teeth nipped as moans flowed easily from both of us.

Richmond's hands grazed down my torso, feeling every ridge and divot. His fingertips curled into the waistband of my sweatpants, and he broke our kiss to ask, "Is this okay?"

"Hell yes." I planted my palms on the table and lifted my ass so that Richmond could shimmy my pants down my legs.

His gaze zeroed in on my cock, standing at attention and begging to be touched. I was about six inches long and cut; pretty average, but Richmond looked at me like he"d struck gold.

Before I could process his movement, he leaned down and wrapped his lips around my crown. I sank my fingers into his hair once more as he flicked his tongue against my slit. I didn"t pull or guide; I just needed to feel him in my hold.

"That feels amazing," I whispered. Richmond licked faster, swirling his tongue around my crown as he sucked me gently.

His slate gray eyes looked up at me and I gasped at the fire burning behind them. I could practically feel the heat rolling off of him as he dropped his lips down my shaft, not budging his gaze from mine.

His cheeks caved in as he sucked me harder. He swallowed around my flesh, drawing me into the warmth of his throat.

"You are so damn sexy," I told him, watching his jaw muscles contract. "So hot with my cock in your mouth."

Richmond moved quicker, bobbing his head back and forth, sliding his lips up and down my shaft. Bliss ran through me so strongly, it made me dizzy. I put my hands behind me to steady myself, and stuck my fingers into his breakfast plate. I couldn"t care less. I could"ve fallen into the damn frying pan and I still wouldn"t stop him.

He sucked hard and fast as he nearly melted me with his fiery gaze. "Baby, you"re gonna make me come," I warned, in case he wasn"t ready for that. But his answering moan told me he was hungry for it.

I cried out his name as I erupted into his mouth. I had been too distraught to touch myself in the past two weeks, so I had a huge load saved up for him. Richmond swallowed every drop greedily before licking my skin clean.

"Take your pants off, baby," I begged; I would have happily done so myself, but I didn"t want to get syrup all over his jeans…though I did have somewhere in mind to put it.

"Damn, I love hearing you call me that."

I flashed him a devilish grin, which turned into a jaw drop when his pants hit the floor. Richmond's cock was both longer and thicker than mine. His dark pink tip was cut, and salt and pepper curls framed his base and coated his heavy balls.

"Fucking perfect," I whispered as I slid off of the table and onto my knees on the floor in front of his chair.

I looked up and winked at him before rubbing my hand over his shaft, smearing syrup over his skin. His chest rose and fell with heavy breaths as I dropped my head. He let out a long moan as I licked him from root to tip, collecting the sweet liquid on my tongue.

"Fuck, Gavin…"

Hearing my name on his lips drove me crazy. I closed my mouth around his crown and deepthroated every inch of his length until my eyes watered.

My lips pressed against his curls as I swallowed around him, drawing out more groans which I happily consumed. Pre-cum rolled onto my tongue, the salty liquid mixing deliciously with the syrup on my taste buds.

As much as I wanted to taste all he had to give me, I also wanted to watch as he exploded. So, I pulled off with a pop and wrapped both of my palms around his shaft, covering all of his skin, except his tip.

I stroked him hard and fast, taking in the hottest sight I could imagine; his pink flesh peeking in and out of my fists; clear liquid bubbling out of him and painting my fingers; his soft thighs jiggling slightly every time I stroked him. It was all accompanied by the sexiest sound; Richmond chanting my name.

"Gavin, I"m coming!"

I winked again before stretching my jaw wide and sticking out my tongue in invitation. He mumbled a string of swear words as his dick jerked in my hands. Drops of warm, white cum rained down over my tongue, chin, and chest.

Richmond ran a shaky hand over his face, and I counted my breaths to calm them.

"That was…" I searched my blissed out mind, but couldn"t find a word potent enough to describe the experience.

"Incredible," Richmond insisted, and my heart fluttered at how wonderfully different this was from our last encounter.

"Incredible," I agreed, and he beamed at me before it quickly vanished. Fuck.

"Are you sure I"m not moving too fast?" he asked in concern, and I breathed a sigh of relief. "I haven"t even taken you on a proper date yet."

"Excuse you, we"ve had four dates now." He raised his eyebrows and I explained, "I cooked for you, you cooked for me, we went to the party, and this morning we got naked on top of our pancakes." Technically, he was only naked from the waist down, but it was still hot as hell.

His belly shook with a deep laugh. "I stand corrected. And I don"t feel nearly as slutty since we"ve had four dates." I snorted at his silly joke. "But I"d love to take you on another one today."

As far as I was concerned, we had an entire lifetime of dates ahead of us. But as for today, I was still slightly hung over and tired, and Richmond looked like he didn"t get much sleep either. "I would love to spend the day with you. How does watching a movie marathon while snuggling on the couch sound?"

"Like my day couldn"t possibly get any better."

"Really? What if I suggested a shower together to get all of this cum and syrup off of me?"

"I stand corrected again."

I laughed as Richmond pulled me to my feet and towards the bathroom.
