Chapter Eight

Magic could make sex quick and easy, especially when both parties had the skills and eagerly wanted the same thing. Clothes melted off the moment Locryn’s front door was closed, and Zac’s bare feet thumped across his wooden floors in tandem with his own as they raced for the bedroom, leaping for the bed.

“You’re a walking piece of art,” Locryn groaned as he was caught up in strong arms. Although, Zac didn’t seem to be in the mood to show off his tattoos. Locryn’s lips were taken hard. He barely had time to swallow a gulp of air before his mouth was full of Zac’s tongue, let alone examine the ink on his mate’s skin.

It was glorious. Zac kissed like he was starving, and Locryn’s lips were the best steak in the house. That facial hair needs trimming was his last coherent thought as Locryn relished the power and need of a demon on a mission.

“Let your glamor go,” Zac growled, his beard brushing Locryn’s cheeks as he nibbled Locryn’s ear. “I want to see the real you.”

“My wings won’t bother you?” Locryn was already letting go. Glamor was magic, magic required focus and Locryn had something far more important to focus on.

“Your wings are fucking beautiful.” Although Zac’s hands weren’t on his wings, they were firmly cupping Locryn’s ass. As they were lying on their sides, Locryn lifted his leg, hooking it over Zac’s hip, giving his mate more room to explore. Claiming was going to happen, and as far as Locryn was concerned, it couldn’t happen fast enough.

Speaking of which… Leaning back slightly, Locryn scanned Zac’s chest. The space – my space – was there on Zac’s chest as he said it would be, right over his heart.

“You’re a closet romantic,” Locryn teased as he bent his head, licking over the bare skin before nibbling it. “Saving a space for me.”

“Were you saving this space for me?” Zac’s broad finger tapped lightly over Locryn’s hole.

“Don’t be ridiculous. I’m centuries old. Don’t ask me about that, and I won’t ask what you’ve been doing in your old haunts at night since you moved to Appleton… Although…” Locryn’s back arched as that finger was suddenly lubed and pushing inside of him. “It’s been a while.”

“Fucking years by the tightness of it. I’ll take it slow.”

Zac was clearly a focused man, and Locryn couldn’t be more thankful. It gave him a chance to explore the wide expanse of skin he could see. Zac’s tattoos were an eclectic mix, ranging from demons and magical symbols to animals of all shapes and sizes. But there were surprises. The word “Mom” was emblazoned in a depiction of a wooden spoon across one of Zac’s biceps. There was even an orange cartoon cat sitting just above Zac’s belly button.

Pictures taken in at a glance with a brush of lips and fingers, because the sensations Zac was wringing from Locryn’s body were setting his blood on fire. Locryn couldn’t remember the last time he’d been intimate with someone. It had definitely been more than a hundred years since someone had seen his wings.

“How do you like it?”

“I have to see your chest to claim you.” Zac’s first finger had been joined by a second one. Locryn purposefully blew out a long breath, encouraging his body to relax.

“Then we’ll do it this way.” Locryn was lifted into the air as Zac moved, and then just as quickly, he was being held suspended above a cock that seemed intent on seeking him out.

“Oh, man, this is going to be fun.” Reaching for the base of Zac’s cock that was already heavily leaking, Locryn wiggled in Zac’s hold until he could slide down without breaking anything. “Is what they say about demon juice true?”

“Oh, yeah.”

Locryn wasn’t wrong. Zac did have a touch of being a closet romantic in him. But that part of him was completely derailed by his urge to claim the man who was doing his best to stuff his stiff cock into a tiny hole.

Never in a million years had Zac believed his mate would be a Fae. A lusty wolf shifter, maybe, or even a bear – he could see a situation like that. Some nights when he’d had too many paranormal brews, Zac imagined someone tiny, like his sprite father, or even a human blown away by his tattoos and mighty dick.

A Fae as a mate never entered into his brain as a possibility. For one thing, Fae rarely left their realm, so it wasn’t as though Zac was going to bump into one in the street. But his eyes were telling a different story now. Locryn, without glamor, was simply stunning as all Fae were. Long blond hair fell like a curtain down his slender back as he focused entirely on taking Zac’s eager cock inside of his body. Skin so smooth and pale, it made Zac feel like he was honestly doing something wrong. Being called ugly his whole life left scars that might never heal.

Although Locryn might be a part of a healing process. Locryn’s passion and need for him was obvious. The sweet scent of his arousal, the way groans fell from kiss-blown lips as his body slowly adjusted to Zac’s length for the first time. The slight sheen of sweat, the flush on his beautifully fine features, and his wide smile made Locryn unique among all Fae – the smile the man gave him as his butt finally connected with Zac’s crotch area was Zac’s version of heaven.

“Damn, that feels good.” Locryn wiggled his eyebrows. “Are you into this, or are you just going to lay there while I do all the work?” He did a little hip swivel Zac felt all the way to his toes. And no, Zac wasn’t going to be a damn bump on a log when he had his mate dancing on his cock.

Hands found their way back to Locryn’s ass, but Zac sat up, wanting to feel more of Locryn’s skin on his. Who needed to breathe when the Fae’s lips were already parted, full, and just waiting to be loved on, which Zac could do.

They quickly found a rhythm, more of a rub and roll than the slamming piston movements Zac was known for, but damn, it felt better than anything ever.

“I can’t last like this.” This, being Locryn’s cock rubbing against Zac’s lower belly. With the way the Fae was moving and Zac’s physique... “Please… Move… Claim…”

“Fuck, yes,” Zac growled. His demon came forward as he fisted his hand in Locryn’s hair, tilting his new mate’s neck to expose the pale flesh. He didn’t even get a chance to give Locryn’s cock a helping hand before his demon side took over, biting and cementing a claim that could never be broken. Locryn slapped his hand on the one bare patch of skin Zac had left on his person, and there was the briefest hint of pain as their magic merged. But then euphoria hit him, unlike anything he’d felt before. His demon roared in triumph, and the scent of spunk hit Zac’s nostrils, his balls unloaded in tune with Locryn’s words, laying claim to Zac’s soul.

They were bound as one.

“I didn’t know demons bit their mates,” Locryn panted as he rested a sweaty forehead on Zac’s shoulder. “How soon can we do that again?”

“We’re not stopping.” Zac pulled Locryn with him as he laid back down. “Where do your wings go when you’re on your back?”

“I’ll show you.” Locryn leaned in, their lips finding each other again. Conversation was overrated, something Zac was thankful for. He didn’t think he had words for the way he was feeling, so actions were going to have to do the talking for him. He had a lot to say.
