Chapter 30 Miguel
"Hey Miguel, do you go to Princeton?" a yellow kitty named Larry asked.
"I do. You're in one of my classes." Miguel crawled to the green kitty bed and rested on his stomach like the others.
"Yes, French class," Larry said.
The blue kitty said, "I'm Timmy, and Daddy Shamus used to be my daddy."
Miguel said, "Do you have another daddy?"
Timmy grinned. "You can't be here without one, but you must be new. My daddy told me to make him a blue picture and if I didn't, he'd paddle me."
"Do you have a Daddy Dom?"
Timmy nodded. "He's the best! Is Daddy Shamus your first daddy?"
"No, he isn't." Miguel thought Timmy was adorable and he could see Daddy Shamus being won over by his charming, good looks.
The red kitty said, "I'm Sammy. My Daddy George puts on all these parties for us. I hope you'll come to the other parties."
"I will if Daddy Shamus brings me, but we're staying in Seaside Heights for the summer."
"Are you living with Daddy Shamus?" Timmy's crayon hit the table with a bang as he asked yet another personal question.
"Yes. Is that a problem for you?" Miguel's patience with Timmy was wearing thin, and he longed to end his incessant questions.
"He never let me live with him, and we were together for a year."
"What games are we going to play?" Miguel ignored Timmy's remark and changed the subject. The kitty bed was so cozy that Miguel hated to leave it and would have been happy to kick back here for the entire night.
"All competition games aim to make your daddy look good so he can win a gift card to the adult store," Sammy said.
"Sounds fun . " Miguel wondered how Daddy Shamus was holding up since Timmy's new daddy was here. He might feel uncomfortable, and he'd bet it would be unlikely he'd answer questions about Timmy or him.
All the daddies came into the Kitty Room and walked their kitties out. Daddy Shamus lingered behind for a few minutes.
"Do you want to switch your butt plug for the pin-on tail?"
"No. I love how it feels."
"Was everything okay in here with Timmy?" He put the leash around Miguel's neck.
"No problems. Did you meet his new daddy?"
"No. I didn't need to meet him."
"Why not?"
"He teaches at Princeton, so I already know him from meetings."
"Is that a good thing or bad?"
"I don't care about him. Let's win some games."
Daddy Shamus led him to the game room. Daddy Shamus released Miguel's leash so he could play like the others.
Daddy George said, "The first game requires the kitties to keep their fishy in their mouth for the race. You will begin behind the orange tape line on all fours in front of your daddy. You will crawl to the green tape line, then turn around and crawl back to your daddy. The first one back is the winner."
Daddy George handed each daddy a rubber fishy matching the color of their kitty's outfit. Daddy Shamus placed the green rubber fishy into Miguel's mouth. He looked around and saw one of his professors with Timmy. He hadn't noticed him when all the daddies came to the Kitty Room. His attention had been solely fixed on Daddy Shamus. The computer science course Miguel had last year was taught by Professor Logan, who had a teaching style of displaying intricate codes on the projector. Little did Miguel know that Professor Logan was not only gay but also a daddy dom.
Laughter bubbled up in Miguel's chest as he watched Sammy and Timmy struggling with their rubber fishy in their mouths. They looked like chipmunks trying to hoard acorns! Larry, Nathan, and Blake had no problem with keeping the fishy in their mouths. With their shared interests, Miguel saw an opportunity to strengthen his acquaintance with Larry from Princeton.
Daddy George asked, "Is everyone ready? Meow once if you are. Meow twice if you're not ready."
All the kitties meowed once.
"OK then, on your mark, get set, go!" Daddy George blew his whistle, and chaos erupted. Miguel felt the smooth rubber fishy against his lips, the taste of fake vanilla flooding his mouth. He crouched low, locking eyes on the green tape. Once he reached it, he turned around and focused on Daddy Shamus across the room behind the orange line.
"Let's do this, kitties!" Daddy George shouted.
Daddy Shamus grinned, flashing a thumbs-up.
Miguel launched himself forward, hands and knees pumping. Behind Miguel, Timmy and Sammy were neck-and-neck, their faces contorted in concentration as they tried not to lose their own fishy. The cheers of their partners echoed around them. Nathan, Blake, and Larry were right behind Timmy and Sammy.
"Come on, Miguel, come on!" Daddy Shamus roared, waving his arms like a windmill.
Miguel felt his tail tickling his thighs and the plug moving around in a good way. He pushed himself harder, the wood slats on the floor blurring beneath him. He could hear Larry and Timmy lagging behind, a chorus of frustrated squeaks and meows escaping their fishy-filled mouths.
"Faster, Miguel! Faster!" Daddy Shamus roared from the finish line, his voice thick with laughter.
Miguel pushed harder, the fishy feeling like a prize in his mouth. Timmy and Larry were still neck-and-neck slightly behind him, both meowing encouragement to each other. Nathan, Blake, and Larry were slightly behind Timmy and Sammy.
But before the others could pass Miguel, he lurched forward across the orange line in front of Daddy Shamus with a triumphant whoop.
"Meow!"
"First place, Miguel!" Daddy George announced.
Miguel spit out the fishy and grinned at Daddy Shamus, who petted him, then kissed him on top of the head.
"Good kitty." Daddy Shamus handed him a chewy candy.
Daddy Shamus collected the adult store gift card from Daddy George. The other kitties sprawled in front of their daddies in a heap of laughter.
"You are good at swimming and now this too," Daddy Shamus said, kissing him on the lips for good luck.
"The next game, you'll crawl backwards and meow while moving. If you stop meowing, you are disqualified. We want to hear your meows. All of you."
"You will begin at the orange line. Go to the green line again. Once you hit the green line, crawl backwards to your daddy. Meow all the way back too. Get into position!" Daddy George waited for them.
"On your mark, get set, go!"
The second game was even funnier. Crawling backwards while meowing was surprisingly tricky. Timmy was all over the place and bumped into Miguel, almost knocking him over. The meowing was loud as they attempted to crawl backward. Larry and Sammy passed Timmy. The other kitties were having a difficult time crawling backwards.
Suddenly, Miguel burst past the finish line. "Meow!"
Miguel ended up winning again, this time with Daddy Shamus cheering him on so loudly his voice cracked. He received another gift card.
The next game required daddies to be on all fours and the kitties to ride on their daddies' back while they crawled. They had to begin from the orange line, crawl to the green line, then turn around and end at the orange line again.
Daddy George started the race with his whistle while he was in place with Sammy on his back. The kitties cheered their daddies on by meowing. Daddy George was good at this and won!
After several other games and some snacks and drinks, it was time to leave the cabin. Daddy Shamus led him on the leash to the dressing room. He removed the butt plug tail, then helped Miguel change into his jeans. Next to them were Timmy and his Daddy Dom, Professor Logan.
"I see you found a new boy," Professor Logan said to Daddy Shamus.
"Not just a boy. I found the love of my life. He's everything to me."
"As you know and can see, Timmy is a catch. He's just gorgeous."
Thankfully, Daddy George moved toward them and interrupted the uncomfortable conversation.
"Thank you for coming. We're having another party for Daddies and their boys soon. I'll email the information."
Before leaving, Miguel hugged Daddy Shamus. "I had the best time tonight."
