MAKING PEOPLE ENVIOUS

L aken knew she was going to have sex with Jamie tonight.

It’d been a long time since a man had touched her body, but Jamie seemed to be touching another part of her soul that no man had ever done.

In her eyes that was more than enough to take this next step and the rest would fall into place as it did.

“Let’s go to my room,” she said.

She grabbed his hand and pulled him across the living room and into the open doorway of her room.

“The same nice view in here,” he said.

“It is. I think it’s what sold me. But I’m sure you know no one can see in,” she said.

She tried to be as private as she could with her life in more ways than one.

“I don’t like an audience as much as people think I do,” he said. “But it’s exciting to think they might be able to see us and be envious.”

“Ohhhhh,” she said. “I like making people envious.”

He laughed. A deep sound was low in his throat.

His hand reached for her blue cotton shirt and pulled it up and over her head easily enough. She had a blue bra on and matching panties. Nothing silk or fancy but more like pretty.

She liked to feel like a woman down to the last article touching her body.

Many said she could be tough like a man, but it was more personality when called for.

Tonight, she was going to be all woman.

“Good to know,” he said, tugging her in close and his mouth landing on hers. Her fingers got to work pulling his shirt out of the waist of his jeans. Thankfully it was just a cotton jersey like hers and she wasn’t going to have to spend a lot of time with buttons.

Her hands slid under and felt his warm firm skin against her palms, moved them up and down, then she yanked his shirt up and over his head too.

Before she knew what was happening, the two of them were reaching and yanking all their clothing off in record time.

“You didn’t even get to admire my matching set,” she said when she landed on the bed naked from where he lifted and put her there.

“I’ll admire it later when you put it back on,” he said. “Maybe we can eat dressed just like that in front of the fire.”

“Sounds like a plan to me,” she said and let out a squeal when his mouth moved between her legs.

He didn’t waste any time going to work, his tongue coming out to taste around and nibble. Almost as if he was warming her up, but she was already on fire.

Then he slid his arms under her hips up to his shoulders, his mouth going to her swollen bud, and started to suck almost as much as her favorite toy did.

Only this wasn’t battery operated and felt so much better with the contact.

She was moaning and squirming and shouting out his name in record time, then panting as he continued to attack the same spot.

“Damn, you’re fast,” he said, stopping to lick her some more.

“It’s been a while,” she said.

“Someone as efficient as you wouldn’t leave yourself wanting,” he said. He slid a finger inside of her and started to pump it in and out slowly.

“God no,” she said, her head back, her eyes closed. “I’ve got a drawer full over there, but it’s not the same as the real thing.”

“I need to see this drawer,” he said.

“Another time,” she said. How the hell was she getting so worked up again? “I promise. But right now I just want this. I just want you.”

“You’re going to get everything you want tonight,” he said.

“I hope so,” she said. She’d been on her elbows watching him but lay back now because she needed to try to relax her abs as she was so tense fighting from coming again.

It’s almost as if he knew what was happening though and stopped to place a kiss on her lower lips, then stand up and find a condom in his jeans and rip it open.

She took that time to admire his body.

The muscles were sculptured everywhere. Six-pack abs. Yes, please.

His shoulders were broad, his biceps were just the right size, his chest even had defined squares on each side. And that muscle those men had that went to a V toward their dick...oh yeah, he had that too.

“Do you like what you see?” he asked.

She lifted her eyes and noticed he’d been watching her. “I might come again just looking at you. If you don’t want to waste it, then shut up and give me what I want.”

He laughed and crawled over her on the bed, grabbed her hands and pinned them above her head, kissed her silent so that neither of them could talk even if she wanted to.

Then his legs nudged hers apart, he found her wet slick opening like the pro that he probably was and slid all the way in until it felt as if there was no room left for air.

Their hips started to move in unison back and forth. Her legs went up and wrapped around his hips so she could get as close as possible.

Her bed was squeaking like it’d never done before and the two of them were running some race that she was positive they were going to collapse at when they hit that finish line.

His fingers tightened around her fingers telling her that he might be close to the end, but it didn’t matter because that little feeling of pain reminding her she was almost trapped was enough to send her spiraling out of control, Jamie following right after her.

She was right.

Both of them just sagged into the bed with Jamie rolling and flopping.

“I like your ceiling,” he said, breaking the silence.

She opened her eyes and looked at the wallpaper she’d had installed. It was white with faint stars in it that almost sparkled.

She laughed. “I like to see the stars,” she said. “It felt like it was the only way to do it here.”

“You can see them at my place,” he said quietly.

“I didn’t think you were ready for me to be there at night. Did you even tell Janelle where you were tonight?”

He sighed and got up and went to her bathroom.

Guess that was answer enough so she crawled out of bed and put her clothes back on.

When he came out, she tossed his jeans and underwear to him.

“Thanks,” he said.

“Nice catch. Guess you can do more than throw.”

He smirked at her and finished getting dressed so she went to the kitchen and started to get their food out to warm up and give her something to do.

When she felt his hands on her waist, she jumped. She hadn’t heard him come up behind her.

“Sorry,” he said.

“Don’t be. I shouldn’t have asked that and am not sure why I did.”

“You did for the same reason that I had you to my house knowing there might be a slim chance you’d see my daughter. I’ve never even let anyone else on my property before.”

She turned to look at him. “What is going on with us?”

“I don’t know,” he admitted. “I spent a lot of my life needing to control things and know what is going on. If it wasn’t working the way I wanted, I worked harder to get there. But this thing with you, I feel almost as helpless as I did when I found out about Penelope.”

“Maybe if you told me how she came about I’d understand more,” she said. “I shared some things with you that I never have before.”

She’d never told anyone that she had no friends growing up. That she wasn’t around enough for it to happen.

She wondered if that was why it was so hard for her to have a relationship with a man, because she didn’t think she’d had one with a woman that wasn’t family.

Abby was the closest, and even that, they were practically family now.

“I don’t even know where to start,” he said. “I want things to grow with us if they can and if I tell you about Penelope’s mother you’re going to think differently of me.”

She lifted an eyebrow at him. “If it’s the truth of something in your life, don’t you think it’s better to know now rather than later and it’s a surprise?”

He picked his water up and took a long swig of it, almost draining it before he put it back down.

“Good point,” he said.

“Meaning you’re going to tell me about her?”

“First, what do you want between us? Where do you want this to go? We’ve had a few dates and sex.”

“I think we both agree what we feel with each other is different than anyone else. I’m a pro at separating work and my private life, so no problems there. You’re not going to be working with me after the startup is done.”

“But you don’t want your brothers to know. Don’t you think that is something that should be considered if I tell you about Penelope’s mother?”

He wasn’t wrong. “Okay,” she said. “I’ll tell my brothers next week. I promise. The news of West’s engagement is coming out tomorrow. I don’t want to do it then. It’s not the right time. But I promise I’ll tell them next. I’ve got a meeting scheduled with them both and can do it then.”

He laughed. “You’re going to tell them at work?”

“You’d be surprised how much personal stuff we talk about when we are working since we spend enough time there.”

“When the food is done, we can get comfortable and talk while we eat,” he said. “I promise. But I need to gather my thoughts in my head.”

She leaned up and gave him a kiss. “Then when we are done, we can strip down to our skivvies and get back in front of the fire with that champagne. Maybe stay the night if you want?”

“Sounds like the best plan I’ve heard in a long time,” he said.
