JACE
T he sun's barely up when I find myself standing in the kitchen, packing up the kids' lunches. Preschool. I still can't wrap my head around it—our triplets, Rosie, Mia, and Jamie, are about to start their first day of school.
Behind me, I hear the unmistakable sound of little feet sprinting toward the kitchen, followed by that familiar, high-pitched giggling. Turning around, I see them, the three of them, bouncing in with their backpacks that look way too big on their small frames.
"I'm ready!" Mia declares, spinning around to show off her sparkly shoes and pink overalls. She's beaming like this is the best day of her life, and maybe it is.
"We know, kiddo," I say with a grin, zipping up the last lunchbox. "But we still need to brush your hair before you conquer preschool."
Devin comes in, holding a hairbrush like it's a tool of war, while Alec follows with sippy cups and their school folders. I'm already by the door, making sure the backpacks are zipped and their shoes are on the right feet.
"I can't believe this is happening," Devin says, kneeling to fix Rosie's hair, which is sticking out in every direction. "It feels like they were just learning how to walk, and now…"
"Now we're sending them to school," Alec finishes, handing Mia her cup and shaking his head with a soft smile.
Jamie tugs at my shirt, eyes wide with excitement. "Can we go now? Is it time?"
"Almost, bud," I chuckle, patting him on the head. "We've got to make sure your sisters are ready."
Rosie twirls, making her dress flare out as she grins up at us. "I'm gonna make lots of friends today!"
Mia nods, serious as ever. "I'm gonna color inside all the lines this time."
Jamie, puffing out his chest like the superhero on his backpack, adds, "I'm gonna run the fastest."
I exchange a look with the others, the kind of look that says, How did we get here? "They're gonna crush it," I say, but mostly to reassure myself.
"Of course they will," Alec says, walking over to kiss Tessa on the cheek. "They've got us for parents."
With the chaos of getting everyone dressed, fed, and ready finally behind us, we load the kids into the car. The back seat is filled with excited chatter—talk of new friends, games, and everything they're looking forward to.
As we drive toward the school, I feel a mix of pride, excitement, and something else—a bittersweet edge, maybe. It's hard to watch them grow up this fast. We pull into the parking lot, and before I've even turned the car off, the kids are scrambling out, backpacks bouncing as they race toward the school entrance.
"This is it," I say, wrapping my arm around Tessa's shoulders, feeling a smile tug at my lips. "First day of preschool. They're gonna love it."
Devin grabs Jamie's hand, Alec holds Mia's, and I reach down for Rosie's. We walk them toward the big school doors, their laughter filling the air, their energy contagious.
As we approach, I glance over at Tessa, and then at the kids. Yeah, they're ready. And maybe, just maybe, we are too.
As we head home, Tessa glances at me from the passenger seat, and then places a hand on my leg.
"What's this?" I ask, teasing her as she starts to run her hand further up my leg.
"Just thinking that now the kids are in school, we can have fun in the middle of the day again," she says, biting her lip. She glances at Devin and Alec in the rearview mirror and winks. The both of them shift in their seats, picking up immediately on what Tessa wants from us.
As soon as we get home, the clothes fly off, trailing all the way up the stairs.
Once we graduated, we bought a house further in town, with room for all three kids to have their own bedroom, two master bedrooms so there was always enough space for someone to get away if they needed it, and a large backyard with a playset included.
Inside the first master bedroom, Tessa pushes the door shut with her foot while Devin devours her mouth, kissing her senseless.
"Oh baby," she purrs, raking her hands down his back. I'm embracing her from behind, kissing her neck while Alec gets the blankets off the bed so we can fall into it together.
Once we're on the bed, Tessa pulls out the plug she was wearing, a mischievous smile on her face. "I'm ready for you," she says, looking me in the eyes.
Even after all these years, I still love being inside her tight little ass, pounding away from behind. She climbs onto Devin and starts jerking Alec off with practiced ease, the four of us slipping into our favorite positions by default.
It feels good to be with her like this, sinking my cock inside her as lewd squelching noises fill the room. Tessa's moans grow louder, and I thank the Gods above that we live on an acre of land and don't have close neighbors.
"Oh God, yes! Oh God!" Tessa cries out as I rut into her from behind and Devin pushes deep into her waiting pussy.
"Tessa!" Alec cries out as she twists her hand just right to have him falling off the edge.
Devin reaches down, rubbing Tessa's clit as he strokes inside her, encouraging her to come next. She falls over the cliff with a moan, our names spilling from her lips and the way she tenses up around us has my orgasm ripping from me without warning.
"Oh fuck, Tessa!" I yell, my fingers digging into her waist. Devin continues to work himself into her and after a few more thrusts, he's coming with a silent cry, throwing his head back into the pillow.
The four of us relax on the bed together for a while before we have to get up and start our day. Tessa and I jump in the shower together while Devin brushes his teeth and Alec cleans himself up before getting ready to head out.
Alec is working for a state senator at the capital now, fulfilling his dream of going into politics. He's the only one of us with a nine-to-five job, but he loves it and he loves the work he does.
Devin is a first responder, having been inspired by the way the team took care of us back during the kidnapping. He's also a volunteer firefighter on the weekends.
And Tessa has the coolest job of us all. She turned her experience into a podcast series with Ryan and the series was so well received that after graduation, she turned it into a full-time job. She runs a successful true crime podcast that focuses more on the victims and lets them tell their own stories in their own words.
She never pressures anyone to come on her show either. Every guest is someone who came forward wanting to share their story. She has millions of subscribers and she's even gone on tour a few times.
Oh, and did I mention that I'm Tessa's manager? I use my charm to get her the best deals and make sure she's always taken care of. It felt like a natural progression for me, and I love working with my beautiful wife.
We got married in an unofficial ceremony two years ago, in an old post office that had been renovated into an art museum.
Tessa and I finish in the shower and we head down to the basement together, which has been converted into a recording studio and an office space for me to work.
I have a few emails I need to answer and a few calls to make but I know that later today, before the kids are done with school, I'll probably drag Tessa upstairs one more time.
Just as we pass the entryway though, Valencia knocks on the door. The screen is open and I can see her waving at me through it.
"Hey! I brought some cookies!" she calls out. Tessa bounds over and answers it, grabbing her best friend into a tight hug. Valencia and Matteo got married after graduation and moved next door to us last year.
"Where's the baby?" Tessa demands.
Val laughs. "Carter is at home with Matteo. He was being fussy and didn't want to put his shoes on so I left the little stinker."
"Sounds about right," I say, remembering the triplets' terrible twos with a grimace. "How's Matteo?"
Valencia launches into a story about the new office they're building for his company.
Matteo runs a non-profit for domestic violence victims, along with a few of the other brothers from Sigma Theta. We managed to turn the fraternity into a cause for good, inspiring several of our members to pursue jobs in the justice sector and even help victims like the ones that were hurt during the drugging scandal.
We're proud of the work we did to turn things around. We truly made Sigma Theta the kings of the campus during our time there.
And it's all thanks to Tessa Collins-Montgomery-Whitmore-Cash. She's made us better men, and better people because of her love for us.
I feel like the luckiest guy in the world.
"Okay, I'll meet you downstairs, baby," I say, giving her a kiss on the cheek so she can sit down and gab with Valencia for a few minutes.
As I head down the stairs, I know that my life would be vastly different without her in it. We went through so much together, plenty of ups and downs, even after the whole stalking and harassment thing in college, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
