Chapter 12
Abel
I have waited countless days for this moment, to be able to touch her again, to breathe her in. It won't be long now until she takes her rightful place between us. I know it's only a matter of time. We were always destined to be together, our souls bound by blood. I wasn't lying, I had died the moment I met her, because from that moment my soul belonged to her.
She became my obsession, the fire that consumed my thoughts and dreams. The anticipation of having her with us both now, of touching her, holding her together, it's damn near overwhelming.
Soon she won't be able to deny it, to deny us. After all, we are meant to be.
At first, my brother didn't understand. He thought she was a poison, something that infected my mind until the same fire that burned within me was kindled in him. He realized what I had known all along—that her darkness was a perfect match to our own. She is made for us, just as we are made for her. She will complete us in a way no one else ever could.
Even now it's as if my soul is on fire for her, calling for her heat to be between us again.
What Hydessa and I have isn't just an attraction or a fleeting desire. It's deeper, more profound—a connection forged by something ancient and powerful. Our souls are intertwined. She is our missing piece, the part of our existence that makes us whole.
The waiting has been excruciating, every passing day a reminder of the distance between us, but now the moment is almost within reach. Soon, she will understand. Our bond is inevitable, undeniable.
I can still feel her pulse under the pads of my fingers, smell the way she was turned on for the both of us as we caged her in. Most prey will fight when caught by a predator, but not her. Her grip was challenging as I felt her defiant eyes on me even through the mask.
She didn't want me to remove it and I was afraid that I would break her trust if I did. She may not be ready for the world to see who she truly is, but we are.
Until then, we will wait. The walls of that house won't stop me from watching her, from touching her. Soon Hydessa Darling will realize who she belongs to.
Bringing the glove I stole from her closer to my face, I inhale deeply, breathing in the scent that is uniquely Hydessa Darling.
Destiny cannot be denied. And no matter how good she is at sticking to the shadows, there is no hiding from fate.
