Chapter 13
Acouple of more weeks go by, but the days pick up speed once I find another job. To my father’s dismay, it’s not in his company.
I’m the newest barista at Marcy’s, a café in downtown Anaheim that sells French pastries and fruit smoothies that bring in the local gym afficionados on a daily basis. It’s a small, cozy place, easy to clean and manage on my own.
I haven’t yet figured out what I’m going to do about the baby. I haven’t told Dad, either. Truth be told, I’m terrified of his reaction. Time, however, isn’t in my favor.
I’m not showing yet, but it’s mostly thanks to my already curvy figure. Sooner or later, I won’t be able to hide it anymore.
“How are you getting on?” Sharon, the location manager, asks me. She’s about my age. Our location is one of five situated throughout Southern California. “Is anybody giving you any trouble?”
“God, no, the customers are all sweethearts,” I giggle from behind the counter.
“I’m glad to hear that. The previous girl had some heated conversations with some of the yogis from the studio down the road,” Sharon says, rolling her eyes.
“Oh, I worked at a biker bar before this.”
“So, yogis are like poodles to you?”
“Wet poodles,” I laugh.
She laughs along with me as she fishes her car keys out of her purse. “I knew we did the right thing when we hired you. All right, well, you can lock up soon,” Sharon says on her way out.
“This early? I thought we’re open till four,” I reply, slightly confused.
“Technically, yeah, but there’s a game on today. It’ll be empty, I guarantee it.”
I’m not sure I like the idea of going home at this hour. My father will be there, ever the sour pill after I took a job at a café instead of joining his financial empire.
I’ll give the man credit—he’s made a fortune over the years, and he works hard every single day. But the more time I spend behind a bar counter, the clearer it becomes that I’ve made a home in this industry.
“Cool. I’ll see you on Monday then,” I say.
Sharon waves goodbye as the front door closes behind her. I get busy cleaning up for the day, wiping down the counters, and putting away whatever needs to stay in the fridge overnight. I like it when it’s quiet and empty like this. It gives me time to be alone with my thoughts. I know what I have to do, but I have yet to find the courage to do it.
My father will have questions.
I can’t bring myself to tell him the whole truth. I don’t think he’ll be able to handle it. I should definitely tell the guys first. One of them is the father, and once I bring my dad into the loop, he’ll want to know who’s responsible.
My head is buried in the dairy fridge below the counter when I hear the door open. For the first time today, I’m excited at the thought of customers coming in despite Sharon’s directive to close the shop early, but as soon as I stand up, I freeze. My thoughts fly out the window, and my heart starts beating faster as I watch Orion, Kai, and Drake approach the coffee bar.
“Hey,” I manage, my voice trembling.
Hell, my whole body has turned to jelly. They look ridiculously handsome, though visibly tired.
Orion gives me a slight smile, the corner of his mouth twitching. “Hey, Nadia.”
“What are you doing here?” I ask.
“We were in the area and figured we’d come to check in on you,” he says.
I look at him, then at Kai and Drake. I don’t know what to make of this. Deep down, I’m thrilled. Hell, I’m downright giddy and ready to jump over the bar, eager to tear their clothes off and let them take me in every possible way.
But they fired me unceremoniously. I should still be mad. All I can do is cross my arms and frown slightly.
“Not a single text, not one call, nothing. Now, all of a sudden, you care?”
“We need to talk,” Orion replies.
“I thought you said all that needed to be said when you fired and dumped me all at the same time.”
Drake steps closer, but there’s still a broad counter between us. “Nadia, we’re dealing with a complicated situation. We had to get you out of there.”
“I know who Colton Harrow is,” I say. “And I can take care of myself, thank you very much. You didn’t have to throw me out like an old pair of shoes.”
“We were trying to do what’s best for you,” Drake says. “Colton showing up there wasn’t something we were prepared for.”
“Well, it’s done. So, what do you want from me?”
I foolishly turn my back on them to lock the soft drink fridges before I switch off the lights. There’s no way in hell I’m keeping the café open for these three.
I’m even tempted to run as far away from them as possible, even though every fiber in my body screams for them.
Orion moves like a bolt of lightning and comes up behind me. I barely register the shift, finding myself enveloped in his arms as he holds me tight and breathes me in. “I’m so sorry,” he whispers in my ear. “We were scared of losing you, Nadia. We chose to hurt you in the short term if it meant keeping you safe in the long term.”
“Orion …” I mumble, unable to think properly anymore. “I’m still hurting.”
“I know. We’ve been hurting, too. It’s why we’re here,” he says.
I can hear Drake and Kai’s footsteps moving closer. They come around, flanking us with sullen eyes, their hands reaching out. They gently caress my face, and Kai leans in for a kiss. I welcome his lips on mine, his spicy sweetness, and his warm breath on my cheek.
I welcome Drake’s hand on my breast, fingers digging into the tender flesh, not caring for the layers of fabric in between. I welcome the feel of Orion’s cock pressed against my ass cheeks as the three of them huddle tighter together.
“For fuck’s sake,” I whimper, realizing how easy it is for me to simply give in.
I’m close to crying, sincerely happy to feel them wrapping around me like this. We kiss and hug, touch one another, and take in deep breaths. I hide my face in Drake’s chest, but Orion captures my mouth in a deep, hungry kiss. Kai runs his fingers through my hair, and I slowly melt, simmering with every touch, every fluttering kiss, every tip of the tongue trailing invisible lines down the side of my neck.
“I’m serious, Nadia; we do need to talk,” Orion says.
But I’m hazy and lost. I’ll do whatever he wants, and he knows it. “Let me close up first,” I tell him.
“We’ll wait,” he replies. “I brought an extra helmet for you.”
My pulse is still racing as I get off his bike. It was my first time, and I loved it. My dad gave up on motorcycles altogether when he left the Blackthorn Riders. He always said he didn’t regret that decision, but as I try to reconnect with my body after such an electrical throng of incredible sensations, I have to wonder … was he out of his effing mind? Why would he ever give up on what is arguably the best feeling in the world?
For as long as I can remember, my father made sure I never even flirted with the idea of riding a motorcycle. Looking back now, I get it—the danger surrounding it all. He didn’t want me having any contact with this world, with the club, with the people in it. I was his precious angel, his priceless jewel.
I can’t help but laugh as I take my helmet off and inhale deeply.
“What is it?” Orion asks, pulling the keys out of the ignition.
We’re outside the Sherry Bed Breakfast, a beautiful little retreat on the Pacific coastline just a couple miles south of Carlsbad. The ocean spreads to our left with its deep shades of blue and a brilliant, clear sky overhead.
“I’m just thinking about my dad and how hard he tried to keep me away from you, from your world,” I finally say when I catch my breath.
Drake chuckles softly. “And look where that got him.”
“He’d blow a gasket,” I reply.
Kai smiles and nods at the Sherry BB. “What do you think? Do you like it? We can find another place if you want.”
“No, no, it’s lovely,” I say, taking a moment to record every inch of the place with my mind’s eye. “It’s beautiful, really.”
“And private,” Orion adds.
We agreed to go somewhere out of town for the night. It’s safer for me, and it’s easier for them, just in case any of Colton’s people were thinking of following us. We took the lesser traveled roads to get here, snaking along the coast and through the literal backwoods of Orange County before riding through Carlsbad.
Now and then, we stopped to talk—a good excuse for them to check and see if we had any tails. They told me what Orion and Colton had discussed during Colton’s unexpected visit and his insane demands. Now that I know more about him, I am shaken to the core. My bravado has dwindled as I fully understand the kind of beast they’re dealing with.
My father had warned me. So did Paddy.
Being aware of all of the facts, along with the recent incidents targeting the Blackthorn Riders directly, strikes a different chord. I’m worried about the guys. I know they are fearless and ruthless when they need to be, yet I also know they don’t want to go down this road.
They saw so much violence and death during the time they served in the Navy. Then they came back to take over the club, only to land knee-deep in more violence. They’ve been working so hard to turn the Blackthorn Riders toward a legit path.
Colton Harrow threatens to upend everything.
“I booked us into their biggest suite,” Drake says, briefly checking his phone before we go inside. The guys and I follow as he stops by the reception desk. “Hi there, reservation for Williams, please.”
“Hola!” the plump and rosy-cheeked receptionist replies. “Sure thing; let me check our system and get you your keys.”
Ten minutes later, we’re upstairs and decompressing in the master bedroom.
I know where this is going, and I’ve missed it so much. Yet, at the same time, there’s still a sense of uncertainty along with the secret hidden deep within my womb. I should tell them, but I can’t find the right words. It’s not the right time, either, not with Colton and the Black Devils posing such a terrible threat.
For now, all I can do is ride this wave and enjoy every moment I get with the three of them.
“Are you okay?” Drake asks as he opens the terrace doors wide. I love the way the sun hits the silvery strands in his blonde hair.
Below, a garden unravels in glorious shades of green and red, the hibiscus bushes in full bloom. “I’m okay,” I reply with a timid smile. “It’s just weird that we have to hide like this.”
“We can’t take any chances,” Orion says as he takes his shirt off. The mere sight of his bare chest makes my blood boil and sends tingles through my whole body. “It’s either this or it’s all over.”
“We tried the ‘it’s all over’ method, and we were miserable,” Kai concedes, peeling his leather vest off while I unbutton my shirt. He gives me a hard look. “What are you doing?”
“Undressing?” I ask, suddenly flustered.
Drake chuckles softly as he comes closer. “You don’t undress unless we tell you to, remember?” he says.
“Oh, really? So, if you tell me to jump, I have to ask how high?” I giggle.
“No, you just jump; it doesn’t matter how high,” Orion replies with a grin.
Within seconds, the three of them stand naked and ready before me. Towering giants with tight muscles and deep shadows in their piercing eyes, lips slowly parted as they measure me from head to toe. Hardened men with troubled pasts and yet capable of bringing out the woman in me with a mere glance.
The silence feels heavy between us, the air loaded with unbearable anticipation. We’ve been away from each other for so long that it feels like forever before one of them finally speaks.
“Take your jeans off first,” Orion commands me.
I exhale sharply, realizing that I’d been holding my breath the whole time. Lightheaded, I do as I’m told, slowly climbing out of my jeans. I love the sight of my men stroking themselves as they watch me undress. I can’t help but smile when Orion issues his next order.
“The panties. They need to go.”
“Yes, sir,” I comply with sheer giddiness. My lower body is naked, the flow of cool garden air tickling my thighs. “Anything else?”
“The shirt. The bra. Lose all of it.”
“Yes, sir.” Once I’m completely naked, I take a deep breath, fearful that they might notice something different about my body. “What do you want me to do next?” I ask when they take too long to answer.
They don’t say a word. They just stroke themselves, grips slow and tight as their cocks twitch under my gaze. This is insanely hot, my hand unwittingly traveling downward as I look for ways to comfort my aching, dripping pussy.
“Don’t even think about it,” Kai says. My hand freezes somewhere on my hip. “Turn around.”
I turn around and wait, listening to the sound of their footsteps across the wooden floor and the sound of my own heart drumming in my ears. “Don’t move an inch,” Drake says. He’s the first to reach me, planting a kiss on my shoulder that sends sparks flying across my skin. His fingers travel down my side, slowly and lightly touching me like the wings of a butterfly. “God, I’ve missed you,” he whispers in my ear.
“I’ve been dying slowly on the inside,” I moan as Orion comes around and kisses me on the lips. His tongue slips past and wrestles with mine as we surrender to one another.
“This is dangerous,” Kai says, nibbling on my other ear as he cups my breast. He and Drake work them slowly, methodically kneading the flesh before they both lower their heads and proceed to tease my nipples. Sucking. Licking. Playfully nibbling on them until I tilt my head back and exhale sharply.
Orion gets down on his knees. “Spread your legs for me, baby.”
“Yes, sir,” I manage.
He flicks my clit first, then his tongue slides between my wet folds. He penetrates me with two fingers, priming and testing my entrance before he brings a third finger in. I love the way he curls them whenever he withdraws, causing my core to tighten and contrast with each thrust. His lips close around my clit, and he suckles it harder and harder as his fingers fuck me deeper and deeper.
Drake and Kai consume my breasts, biting and licking, kissing every inch of skin until I have no choice but to hold on to them for dear life as Orion pushes me over the edge. I come undone, crying out in ecstasy as my body shudders with a tempestuous release.
They give me a few moments to pull myself back together before they take me over to the bed.
“I want more, so much more,” I whimper, my knees weak.
“Oh, you’re going to get it all, Nadia. Every damn inch,” Orion says, then lays on the bed. “Come on top, let me feel you.”
I smile as I straddle his narrow waist, my fingers tracing the contours of his defined ab muscles as I settle, his full length and generous girth stretching my pussy, filling me until I’m close to spilling over again.
“What are you …” my voice fades as Kai climbs up behind me, and Drake gets in front, kneeling on the bed just above Orion’s head.
It doesn’t take long for me to realize what’s about to happen, and it makes my heart jump with feverish anticipation.
“Hold still,” Kai says as he positions the tip of his gargantuan cock at my entrance, where Orion is already deeply embedded. “Deep breaths for me, baby.”
I inhale as he slides in, shocking me. “Oh God!” I groan, stretched beyond belief with two men wedged inside me. My core is on fire, and I hold onto Orion’s shoulders as Kai starts to move. “Oh … God.”
“How does it feel?” Orion asks with a ragged breath and hooded eyes.
“So fucking good,” I reply, my voice trembling as Drake grips the base of his cock and offers it to me. I lick my lips and let him in. I swallow him whole, letting him slide down my throat as I revel in the sound of their ecstatic moans.
We go slow at first. My body needs a minute or two to adjust. They take it easy on me, but the pleasure expands like wildfire, taking hold of my senses.
“That’s it, Nadia, take it like a good girl,” Kai grunts and starts fucking me harder while Orion plants his heels into the mattress and thrusts his hips upward.
“Mmm, you taste like heaven,” I tell Drake before I take him in again, relaxing the back of my throat, tears streaming down my hot cheeks.
Orion slaps my ass. My clit swells against his groin, each movement causing friction.
Drake’s delicious erection muffles my cries while Orion and Kai pound me into complete abandonment. I can barely see, yet my eyes are locked on Drake’s while Orion massages my breasts and pinches my nipples until they sting. Kai digs his fingers into my hips, going harder, faster.
I lose my mind in the most wonderful torment, a second orgasm blowing through me. I’m wet and gushing as they fuck me like there’s no tomorrow, and I welcome every inch of hard flesh inside me.
“Come for me, Nadia,” Orion growls, and I come all over him. I feel him come inside me at the same time Kai does. I can hear the sound of skin slapping skin, my own moans dissolving into theirs as they take me every which way.
“Oh, fuck, Nadia, you’re a fucking dream!” Drake groans as he shoots his hot seed down my throat. I guzzle every salty drop, my gaze ever fixed on his.
I lose myself in the moment, in the masculine scent of my lovers, in the taste of them, in the heat of the afternoon as our bodies melt into one another.
