15. Maddie
It had been weeks since the funeral, and living with Ian was hard. She had been doing everything she could to avoid him because if she didn't, she'd end up throwing herself at him or asking if she could touch his dick again. But he was forcing her to come to movie night with him, and each Friday that they sat and watched a movie, it had been torture.
He had told her to change into her pajamas each time and then wrapped his arm around her shoulder as they snuggled on the couch while watching the movies that he let her pick. He'd also carried her up to bed each of those Fridays because she'd fallen asleep halfway through the movie. Not that she couldn't have gotten up and walked up to her room herself, but she liked when he carried her around and tucked her into bed.
Maddie worked all day Friday, trying to keep her mind off Ian and the way he had scolded her the night before about her candy habits and had even taken away her candy stash. That deep, stern tone in his voice made her insides quiver with arousal, and the look on his face when she was having her little tantrum had made her bottom tingle.
While she had laid in bed the night before, right after he had called her baby girl, trying to fall asleep, she had decided to make a move on him during movie night. Those words had sounded like honey coming from his mouth. Smooth and sweet and perfect. She wanted to be his baby girl more than anything, and if she was going to have to live with him long-term, she couldn't continue dancing around him as she had been. What was the worst that could happen?
He could reject you altogether. He could kick you out of his house. He could tell you that you're crazy.
Quitting work around four o'clock, Maddie went up to her room and showered. She spent a good amount of time shaving and exfoliating every inch of her body. When she got out of the shower, she dried her hair and pulled it into pigtails. If she was going to make her move, she was going to go all in.
Most of her clothes had been boxed up by Cameron's housekeeper, Maria, and sent to Seattle, so she had plenty of Little garments to choose from. She hoped that Maria hadn't thought poorly of Maddie when she had been packing up all the onesies and ruffle panties. The woman was so sweet, she would hate for her to think of Maddie as a freak. Not that she would probably ever see Maria again, but still.
Sifting through the clothes, Maddie found a purple snap crotch onesie with cupcakes and rainbows on it and paired it with a pair of lavender panties that had tulle ruffles all around them. She also picked out a pair of lavender fuzzy thigh-high socks.
She had never worn an outfit like that in front of anyone, and as she stood in front of the full-length mirror, she smiled back at herself, though she was trembling with nerves.
You can do this. He cares about you, and he is a Daddy. He is meant to be your Daddy. Be brave, Maddie.
She knew he was already home and had most likely already showered because she had heard him walking down the hall past her room nearly an hour before, and then she had heard him walk back towards the stairs a while later. All she had to do was walk out of her bedroom and down the stairs to her fate. She really didn't know what to expect when he saw her, but if she didn't get moving, she was going to chicken out and change out of her outfit.
Grabbing her pacifier because she was totally diving in headfirst, Maddie opened her bedroom door and tiptoed down the stairs. She walked into the living room but didn't find Ian, so she went into the kitchen and saw him sitting at the kitchen island in front of his laptop.
"Hey, Maddie-Rose. Give me just a couple minutes, and we can start movie night," he said without looking up.
She stood awkwardly, unsure of what to say. He seemed engrossed in whatever work he was doing, and she was losing her nerve, ready to turn and bolt when he looked up from the screen and zeroed in on her.
Ian's gaze swept from her head to her feet before his mouth dropped open. She gave him a small smile and tried not to fidget as he stared at her.
"Madison, what are you doing?"
She walked toward him until she was only a couple of feet from where he sat on the barstool.
"I think we need to talk," she said softly.
He swiveled the stool, so he was facing her; his thighs opened wide enough that she stepped closer to him until she was between his powerful legs. She wrapped her arms around his neck and took in his delicious scent.
"Madison…"
"Just listen to me… please…"
Ian didn't say anything, and she wished he would wrap his arms around her to give her the encouragement she needed to tell him everything that she wanted to say, but he didn't. He kept his arms at his sides, and she could sense the tension in his entire body.
"I know you're a Daddy Dom."
His jaw tightened, "And how the hell would you know that?"
She blinked, trying to keep herself calm, but she hadn't expected him to be so abrupt.
"I overheard you telling Cameron a long time ago. I didn't know what it meant at the time, but after I overheard you telling him, I started reading Daddy Dom books and realized that I'm a Little."
Ian's hands came to her hips, and he moved her, so she was no longer between his legs, and she had to drop her arms from his neck. He stood and began pacing in front of her.
"You've been reading those books? For how long? Did Cam know you were reading those?" he demanded.
"What? No, Cam didn't know that I'm a Little."
"How long have you been reading those books, Madison?"
She shrugged, "Since I was a senior in high school."
He stopped pacing and gaped at her before he started moving again.
She took in a deep breath and dove off the cliff.
"Ian, I've been in love with you for years, and I want to be your Little. When you take care of me and scold me and do all the things that you do, it makes me feel so special, like I am your little girl."
He froze in place before turning toward her. He stared at her for several minutes as she stood, shifting from foot to foot, suddenly feeling self-conscious.
"You are not in love with me, Maddie. You have no idea what you feel. You are going through a lot of shit right now. While you might be a Little, you're not my Little. You can't be," he said sternly.
She winced but stood her ground, despite feeling as though she might crumble right in front of him.
"I know exactly how I feel, Ian. I may be younger, but I am still capable of knowing what I feel. You are the reason I am still a virgin. I've been waiting for you."
He sucked in a breath and narrowed his eyes. Maddie was sure his head was going to explode.
"You what? Jesus, Maddie! Don't talk like that. You can't be my Little, and you are not in love with me. Go change. Get more clothes on. Now!"
Maddie wrapped her arms around herself and felt as though her heart was breaking. This was a terrible plan, yet despite every scenario she had played out in her head, the pain she was feeling was nearly unbearable.
"Why don't you want me as your Little?" she asked, her voice trembling.
Maybe she had completely misread his body language and the way he acted with her.
"Because you are my best friend's little sister. Go change, Madison. Now."
Ian walked to her, turning her toward the kitchen door, and gave her a push. Stopping in her tracks, she turned toward him and stared up into his eyes. His jaw was tight, and he stared back at her with a hard gaze that made her turn back around and walk out of the kitchen.
Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry.
She made it halfway up the stairs before the tears spilled down her cheeks. Closing her bedroom door behind her, she plopped down onto her bed and cried herself to sleep.
