28. Chapter 28
Chapter 28
Christian
"Where do you want me to string your lights, honey? Over your bed?" Mom asked as we decorated my dorm room.
"Yeah, I think that's perfect," I said as I unpacked some books, putting them on the built-in bookcase.
"Gah! I'm so stinkin' proud of you, Christian," she blurted.
I smiled and shook my head. "So you've said about a hundred times."
"And I'll say it a hundred thousand times more."
Dad walked in carrying a large box. "Where do you want this?"
I pointed at the corner by the small closet. "There."
When he set it down, I dug inside to find my clothes and started hanging everything up. I wish I could've brought all my clothes, but the space was limited. As far as pretty things went, I only brought a few favorites that I'd wear to parties .
"I think there are only a couple of boxes left. I'll go grab them," Dad said and left the room.
My roommate had yet to move in. All I knew about him was his name. I hoped Mark Ingram would be cool, but I was nervous. Who knew what kind of person he'd be? I really hoped I wasn't paired up with a queer hater. It would make for a very long and scary year.
After all the boxes were brought in, Dad stood on a stepladder and screwed in a pole along the wall so I could add a privacy curtain around my bed. I had no idea if Darren and I could sleep together, but even so, he'd take over the entire twin-sized bed. I guess I could sleep on top of him. It wouldn't be the first time. Despite being built like a rock, he was comfortable.
Mom, Dad, and I put up the finishing touches, and we all stood back, looking at my side of the room.
"Oh, this is adorable, honey," Mom said.
Dad nodded, wrapping an arm around me. "You should be quite comfortable here. Hopefully, your roommate won't be a jerk."
"No doubt. Thanks for helping me move in."
My parents pulled me into a hug, holding me for way too long before I had to peel myself off them. "Don't get all mushy on me now."
Mom's eyes watered. "I'm going to miss my boy. God, when did you go from an infant to a grown man?"
I rolled my eyes. "We all grow."
"Not this fast!"
Dad gripped my shoulder. "You're going to do great things, kiddo. Any idea what your major is going to be yet?"
I shook my head, still at a loss as to what I wanted to do. "Not yet."
"You'll get there. Some students change their majors several times before landing on what they want. Take some classes, and you'll find something you're more interested in than others."
"That' s the plan."
It was mid-afternoon when my parents left for the hotel they planned to stay at before we headed out to dinner later. They'd return to their homes in the morning.
I lay in bed, texting back and forth with Darren as he moved into his room, asking about his roommate, who was also on the football team.
I bought Darren a couple of things for his room because, knowing him, he had nothing at all. He'd probably have the basics, but nothing that said, Darren .
The dorm room door opened with sounds of banging, so I peeled back my curtain to see a guy walking in, carrying a box, and dropping it on the floor. He looked around before his eyes met mine.
He was a few inches taller than me but lean, like a runner. His light brown hair was cropped and parted on the side. He looked basic, uninteresting… and unsmiling.
"Hi, you must be Mark," I said, standing and holding out my hand. "I'm Christian."
He made no move to shake it and still wasn't smiling. I instantly knew he wouldn't like me. His dark brown eyes scanned my side of the room before looking back at me.
"Fucking great. Keep to your side."
My stomach twisted, and dread filled me. I'd have to be stuck with him all year. Maybe I could request a transfer to another dorm, but I'd probably have to wait until the following semester.
Mark ignored me the rest of the time, unpacking his boxes. When he finished, he slammed the door behind him as he stormed out.
"Great…"
I just hoped that was the worst of it.
We'd been at UVA for two weeks, and Dillon still hadn't found Cade. Well, he hadn't been looking hard either, which was strange after a year and a half of depression. When Darren confronted him about it, he said he wasn't ready to see how much Cade had changed, which kind of made sense, I guessed. Cade wouldn't be the same boy he used to know.
Darren and Dillon were busy during those two weeks with training for the upcoming game, so I hadn't seen much of them since we'd been here. They were both second-string, so they probably wouldn't get to play.
I sat alone and watched the first game of the season to support Darren, though I'd never been interested in football… or any sport, for that matter.
Honestly, I hadn't expected so much excitement during the game until the starting quarterback broke his leg. Dillon was instantly thrown into the game with Darren. No doubt, Darren bullied his way into playing alongside Dillon. They were kind of a packaged deal.
I was so excited for them, though it was too bad it was at the expense of the starting quarterback, but I knew they'd do well.
The day was perfect—my type of weather, where it wasn't too warm or too cold. While nice, I hated not having my friends here, like Dani and Jasmine. They'd gone on to other schools, and I missed them. Maybe if Dillon finally found Cade, I could sit with him at home games.
I never fully understood all the rules of the game, but I could tell UVA was winning, which meant Darren would be excited. That's all that mattered to me.
When they won the game, I knew Darren and Dillon were on to great things. As the crowd cleared away, I texted my boyfriend.
Me: What a great game! I'm so proud of you. I'm headed back
to my dorm. Stop by if you can.
I didn't expect to get a text back anytime soon, so I walked back to my room. When I entered, it was empty, thank god. My roommate must have been out partying or something, which was fine by me.
Mark made me increasingly uncomfortable, though he hadn't uttered more than two words to me. In fact, whenever I got back to my dorm room, and he wasn't there, I would go through my things to make sure nothing had been touched.
Everything appeared to be in order.
I grabbed my laptop and crawled into my bed, turning on my fairy lights and the wall sconce. I drew my curtain closed and was encased in my little mood-enhancing bubble.
After turning on my laptop, I tried to study, but nothing grabbed my attention. God, I really needed to figure out shit for school. I was at a loss, and I was growing increasingly frustrated. Usually, I had things figured out by now.
I closed my laptop, curled up in my bed, and scrolled through the pictures on my phone of Darren and me. They made me smile. We were such an odd couple. I found one I liked that Dillon had taken of us. Darren was leaning against his truck, Baby Girl, and I curled into him as he held me in his thick, protective arms. He looked down at me, so full of love, while I looked out into the distance. It really was a nice picture. I set it as my wallpaper and turned off my phone.
The buzzing suddenly woke me up. I opened the screen and read the text from Darren.
Dare: Sorry! Jus got this Got distacted gettin drinks. Thank
bayb! Lov u!
Great, he was drunk, which meant he wouldn't come by. I changed out of my clothes into a T-shirt and my pajama bottoms and just went to bed.
The following evening, I rode on Darren's back as he carried me toward Fraternity Row to a party. Everyone planned to be there, which meant Cade would possibly be around, so we dragged Dillon along with his roommate, Aaron.
It was pure chaos, like the entire university was there, everyone hopping from house to house, grabbing drinks. We hit one house, and if Cade wasn't there, we'd move on to the next.
By the third house, and several drinks later, I had a good buzz going. After grabbing another drink, we followed Dillon deeper into the house when he suddenly stopped.
There was Cade, sitting on the couch with some friends, smoking weed with his shirt open and covered in tattoos. His curls had grown longer, too. Damn, he looked so different. It was like he completely lost his sweet innocence.
"That's Cade?" Darren said to me.
I nodded.
"Shit, he's changed." He grabbed my hand and tugged me away. "Come on. Let's leave them to work their shit out."
Aaron had already wandered off, so it was just Darren and me. We danced to a few songs, drinking more since neither of us was driving. He'd never been much of a dancer, but I loved that he tried.
Darren pulled me closer to him and bent down to talk into my ear over the loud music. "Let's get out of here. My roommate is at his girlfriend's place. She's got an apartment, so my room is empty for the night. Wanna have some fun?"
"By fun, you mean sexy fun?"
His smile was crooked. "Very sexy fun. "
I grabbed his huge hand and tugged him out the door as he laughed. When we reached outside, he lifted me and tossed me over his shoulder.
"Dare! Put me down!"
"Nope, I own this ass tonight."
I complained, but I'd always loved being manhandled by him. I loved his strength, inside and out.
It didn't take long to get back to his dorm. Once the door was shut, he set me upright, only to lift me off my feet again and kiss me stupid. He hadn't shaved in a couple of days, and his scruff chafed, but I liked it, too.
Darren carried me to his bed and gently laid me down, despite how roughly he was kissing me. When he pulled away, he yanked off my sweater and gently removed the blouse underneath. Next went my shoes, socks, and jeans, leaving me in only my boxer briefs.
"I'm sorry about last night," he said.
"It's okay."
"Things just got… carried away."
I reached for his face. "I said it was okay."
"You're too good for me."
Before I could dispute that, he kissed me again, smothering my words with his warm, soft tongue. His hand cupped my cock, massaging it, but it was already hard.
Darren pulled away and dragged my underwear off. When he dropped them on the floor, he stripped all his clothes off in a heap and climbed into bed. He spread my legs and swallowed my dick whole. I cried out while throwing my head back and arching into his mouth.
"Oh, god…"
He'd gotten good at sucking me down over the three years we'd been together. His tongue swirled over the head, sending shivers up my spine and hitting those sensitive nerves.
"Mmm, I love your dick," he said, his breath ghosting the skin .
Instead of swallowing me again, he shoved back my legs and ran his tongue over my hole.
"Fuck!"
He chuckled as he continued to consume me. My fingers curled into his blankets as my hole loosened with his nipping and sucking. The more he massaged my hole, the more relaxed I grew. I felt exposed and vulnerable, but I was with the person I trusted the most. And, god, every time he did this, he pulled out all sorts of weird sounds from me; I had no control over them.
Darren pulled away, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. My ass was sloppy wet, and it was raunchy and sexy. He reached for the lube lying next to us, and poured some into his hand. He stroked himself first, getting his cock nice and oily, then he lubed mine up before he inserted two wet fingers into me.
I pulled back my legs again, giving him easier access. My eyes fluttered closed when he hit that hot spot deep inside me, pulling out a groan.
"You like that, gorgeous?"
"Always."
My dick throbbed and ached. I needed a release. His hitting my prostate felt amazing, but it was also a tease, like being nearly there, almost ready to come, but you couldn't quite get there.
After working me open, Darren pulled out his fingers, leaving me empty, but soon, he would fill me up so good.
"Sit up. I'm going to lie on the bed, and I want you to ride me," he said.
He fell back, and I climbed on top of him at the same time since the bed was so damn small. I hovered over his dick, grabbed it, and eased my ass down slowly until I stretched and adapted. It burned for a little bit, but once I was ready, I slowly rolled my hips.
"Fuck, you're gorgeous. I love watching you ride me. "
Darren roved his hands over my thighs and up my body, along my chest, shoulders, and throat. He left his hand there but didn't squeeze, just claimed. His eyes never left mine, watching every movement and expression. Darren had grown to love watching me come like this before he even came.
Sweat built on my skin, and my body felt heavy with lust and arousal. I loved him watching me, too, no longer uncomfortable in my own skin around him, knowing I turned him on.
Sometimes, when we couldn't get our alone time, we'd record ourselves rubbing one out while on the phone. That was always fun.
My body burned, and I needed to come, but I waited for Darren to grab me when he was ready. He also loved making me come.
I hit my prostate again, and a whimper escaped me. His fingers tweaked one of my nipples a little too hard at the same time, and I whimpered again, my whole body shuddering.
"Do you need to come, baby?"
I nodded. "Please."
Darren grabbed my cock and stroked me, swiping his thumb over the head, sending another shudder through me.
"Fuck, you're so wet for me," he whispered.
I said nothing, resting my hands flat on his broad chest, and bounced faster, feeling so full and stretched, the pressure building inside and outside of me. My entire being tingled, ready to come.
Darren stroked me faster and tighter the more I bounced on him.
"That's it… come for me. Come all over my stomach."
Blood rushed to the center of my body, building and building, until I threw back my head and cried out, coming all over him.
"Yes!"
I wasn't sure who said that, delirious from my orgasm. My muscles and bones grew limp as Darren pulled me down against him and pumped fast and hard into my ass, grunting and growling .
His body suddenly froze, and I was filled with hot cum, his cock pulsing inside.
Darren wrapped his arms tightly around me, kissing my head as he tried to catch his breath.
"You're so sexy, baby. So damn beautiful when you come for me."
My fingers swirled in his hair, still unable to speak as my heart tried to calm down.
Even when I rode him, he ran the show. He controlled everything, but I loved it when he was in charge of sex. It was always hot.
He kissed my head again. "I love you so much, Chris. You'll always be my home, no matter where we are."
Words like that always brought me back to why I fell in love with Darren and what made him so special. "And you'll always be my home… my love."
