Chapter 4

Vulkan

Jennifer has decided to stay a while and that means that I can see her more often. It definitely is giving me the chance to win her over and I see the way that she looks at me, as if she is trying to figure out how to deal with me. I don't know what is going to happen between us, but I do know that I can't allow anything to stand in my way. It makes me feel weird about everything that has happened and I have no clue how I'm going to be able to deal with him. It makes me feel a bit nervous to try to figure out what I'm going to be able to do about this.

I couldn't be sure what is going to end up coming from this, making me wonder what is going to come from this. I am feeling weirder with every moment that we're together and I just hope that she knows she is the one doing this to me. I have to tell her the truth but I'm worried that she is going to do something to make me realize that I can't live without her.

So, I'm taking her out even though it is obvious where this is going between us.

I'm feeling a bit weird, trying to decide what to do. She is wearing a cute little sundress that shows off her body and she doesn't seem to mind. I'm standing protective standing next to her, hoping that she knows precisely what she is doing to me. Everyone stands clear of her even though they keep glancing at me like I'm going to do something. I'd really love for them to try to touch her because I have no problem with making me try to decide what to do about it.

"Why is everyone looking at us like we're a bad guy?" She asks me, raising an eyebrow, "I thought that I would be able to get to meet a few people."

"I don't know." I lie even though I look coldly at anyone who tries to get close to us, "maybe they just want to do their own thing. I mean, it is pretty obvious that I am an alien and there's not very many around."

"I know, I'm just kind of surprised that no one has tried anything." She murmurs, shrugging her shoulders because she couldn't be certain what would end up happening about it, "I thought that they would have tried to start a fight if I'm being honest. They are not so friendly when it comes to aliens though. I don't know why they are so scared of you when they were never scared of Troy."

"Troy and I are much different." I tell her, not even trying to hold myself back at that point because she has to know that we are different, "I'm sorry that you were under the influence of him who has never been a fighter, but I can promise you that no one would try to dare to cross me because they might not be walking after that."

She peeks up at me and I'm not sure what is going through her head at that moment. I know that I might be bragging a little bit but I'm just telling her how it is. I'm not going to hold anything back because I know precisely what I'm capable of and how I'm not going to let anything stand in my way. If I do the smart thing, it would be to make sure that no one stands in my way at all.

Sighing softly, I'm going to say something when someone tries to mess with me. I couldn't be sure about what was going to happen next, but I saw this group of people walking towards us, mostly men. I'm immediately on alert, staring at them like they are doing something to me. I couldn't be sure, but they were hostile because I wasn't sure what to do about it. I wrap an arm around her protectively, keeping her close to me. She doesn't seem to fight me, knowing that I'm probably doing this for a reason.

"Your kind isn't welcome here." The leader murmurs, giving me a cold look as he glares at me like he is going to try to do something, "but I see that Jennifer here is still continuously trying to play around with those who are just going to get her into a lot of trouble. It's quite gross if you ask me."

"What is your problem, Dillon?" She snaps, making me realize that they know one another, "I don't know why you can't just leave us alone when we haven't done anything. I get that you must think that you're some kind of hot shit, but I need you to leave us alone before I do something to you that will make you squeal like a bitch. You do understand that right."

He rolls his eyes and just obviously looks annoyed, "You saw what happened to your last boy toy so I would have to tell you that you need to make sure that you get him out of here before he turns out the same way."

My blood runs cold because I don't like hearing that. I hate how this has turned on and it makes me angry because it is becoming pretty obvious to me that it means that he might have had something to do with Troy's death. Although his murderer was never found, it was pretty obvious it had been a hate-crime, and no doubt was done by a group of humans. Walking towards him, I unsheathe my sword and make them take a step back with fear, staring every one of those bastards down because I'm not going to be so nice anymore.

"Do you know what happened to my brother?" I ask him coldly, seeing the fear that flickers in his eyes, "Because if you know something, you better hope and pray that I don't get my hands wrapped around your fucking neck because I can assure you that I will kill you."

I'm being a hundred percent serious because I'm not keen on letting bastards go that have obviously done something. It pisses me off that it has turned out this way, but I do know that there is no way in hell that I'm going to let this bastard stand against me and I can assure them right here and now that I have no qualms with doing anything to them.

"We didn't have anything to do with him." He whimpers with fear, turning away from us, "We will leave then."

I have a feeling that he knows more about it and I'm going to get to the bottom of it. I walk faster towards him and before he can react, I grab him by the back of the neck and pin him right to the ground without mercy. I see Jennifer staring at me with surprise, but I can't hold back any longer. I'm not going to let him win.

"You're going to tell me everything… Or I will kill you."
