Chapter 27

Drake

“Drake.”

I hear Lacy’s sweet voice call out to me and I stop, dead in my tracks.

I turn to the old warehouse and know that is where my girl is.

There are no lights outside, save for a few broken streetlights that the city never bothered to shut down.

Men come in hordes like rats out of the warehouse as my guys jump off their bikes and ready themselves for battle. This is war and we intend on leaving victorious. The cops should be on their way. As soon as I heard Lacy’s voice, Storm went straight to call the police to let them know we knew where she was. Hopefully, they made it here soon. If not, I can’t promise how many lives will be lost in my journey to get Lacy.

I hear a gunshot ring out and I drop to the ground, expecting to see bullets spraying in my direction. However, I am pleasantly shocked to see Ashton standing behind me, a silver pistol in his hand, as he fires rounds into the night sky.

“Everyone shut the hell up, and no one fucking move,” Ashton shouts.

A few of Josh’s guys don’t listen and continue moving toward us. Ashton shoots a warning shot in between two guys and they both stop suddenly in their tracks. “I said, don’t move,” Ashton warns again.

Everyone stops. It’s a shoot-out ready to happen. But, I am not waiting on anyone else. While Ashton keeps Josh’s guys occupied, the rest of the Raven crew jump into action. Fights break out all around me as punches are thrown, knives are waved around, and threats are made.

I run through it all, my eyes set on the old, wooden doors that lead inside the warehouse. I push a few guys out of my way and once I am able to reach the doors, I throw them open with such force, they almost come off their hinges.

A yellow glow lights up the room as one single light is being used. Sitting in the center of the room is Lacy and that fucking monster, Josh, has a gun to her head.

I see the look of fear in her eyes as she looks right at me. A small smile formed over her lips and I see one lip is bleeding.

That monster hurt Lacy. It’s go time now, and one way or another, Josh’s life is over.
