Chapter 25

Drake

My phone rang again, and Lacy’s name flashed across the screen. For a brief moment, hope-filled me thinking it might actually be Lacy calling me. I would hear her sweet voice and realize this had all been a terrible nightmare.

However, life had different plans for me.

As I answered the phone, I heard Josh’s heavy breathing and I felt myself growing sick to my stomach.

“Drake, I have a little surprise for you,” Josh taunts.

Before I can ask anything, I hear a terrible noise that sounds like flesh hitting flesh and then an agonizing scream fills the air.

It’s Lacy.

“Stop!” I scream, as my body falls to the ground.

All of the guys rush toward me as I crumble in the middle of the Twisted Kingdom Clubhouse parking lot.

The line goes dead again. Josh is taunting me. He’s trying to get me so blind by my own anger and rage, that I can’t think straight. He is going to kill Lacy and take her away from me.

The Fuck he is.

“Drake, what happened?” Axel asks, concern filling his eyes.

“He. Hit. Her,” I say, through clenched teeth.

“Are you sure?” Storm asks, from beside me.

“I heard the hit and then she screamed. She must be so scared,” I yelled into the night.

The guys sent the girls home an hour ago, and swore that we would keep them updated. I am not letting them tell them this. Ivy and the girls would rush down here immediately. Blaze is on watch and is to report any suspicious activity to me. Jagger is patrolling the area and trying to find anyone who can help us gain more information on Josh.

I have to get to Lacy. I have to find her before Josh hurts her anymore.

I jump onto my bike and check the time on my phone. It’s already after nine at night. We only have three hours left to find Lacy.

After Josh had initially called, everyone in the bar got together and we devised a plan to search every inch of Hollow Cove. We broke into groups and checked in every fifteen-minutes. My brothers and I had gone to Chuck’s bar first. After knocking some sense into a few of the scumbags hanging out there, we learned that Josh had taken Lacy in a large, black truck. No one knew where they had gone and hadn’t seen Josh since.

We had returned back at the Twisted Kingdom Clubhouse since we had agreed that would be our home base and meeting place. With no luck from the other guys, I was growing more anxious by the second.

“Ivy is calling, hold on,” Axel said, before he turned away.

“I think it’s time to call the police and get them involved,” Storm said, and Ryder nodded in agreement.

All the other guys looked on, nodding their heads in agreeance with my brothers. I knew he was right and as much as I hated to get outsiders involved, it was time.

“Storm…” I turned to my friend, but I couldn’t finish the sentence. Thankfully, I didn’t need to. He knew what I wanted him to do.

Turning around, Storm took out his phone and began calling the Hollow Cove Police. As he filled them in on what was going on, Axel came running back over to me.

“Drake, Ivy said she used the ‘find my phone app’ on Lacy’s laptop and said it last pinged right outside of Hollow Cove near the old industrial park,” Axel said.

I rushed my brother, hugging him tightly as I thanked him for that piece of information.

“That industrial park has been abandoned for years,” Ryder remarked.

“Yeah, and the perfect place to hide illegal drugs and a kidnapping victim,” Storm added. I had forgotten Seth was there, but I was glad for his help now. He was Ryder’s best friend and we needed all the help now that we could get.

“I also made another call yesterday, too,” Ryder added, before pointing behind me.

I turned around and spotted my cousin, Ashton, pulling into the parking lot. His bike was speeding and I could just make out his long, black hair behind his helmet.

Ashton jumped off his bike and made his way to us. “Hello Ravens, long time no see,” Ashton said.

While I was happy to see him, it was hard to smile when Lacy was still in danger.

Storm walked up and gave Ashton a side hug. “Thanks for making it, Ashton. We need all the Raven’s we can get around here.”

“What are you doing here?” I asked.

“Blaze called me. He filled me in on what was happening. He’s still searching for insight, but I thought I might be able to help.” Ashton winked and I could see the idea of trouble glittering in his eyes.

“Thank you. We have to find Lacy,” I choked out.

I was filled with tremendous emotions and I had no idea how much longer I could hold my shit together before I finally exploded.

Ashton nodded and then looked at me with careful consideration. “So, Drake. You finally fell in love?” he asked.

I nodded, still not able to speak yet. “Well, let’s go save the woman crazy enough to fall for you,” he said, slapping my back and turning to get back onto his bike. “Tell me the plan guys,” he added.

All eyes fell on me and I realized I needed to grow a pair of balls and put myself back in charge again. “Alright guys, we are going to head out to the Industrial park outside of Hollow’s Cove. It’s a large area, so once we get there, let’s split back up into our groups. Storm, what did the police say?” I ask, looking over at Storm.

“They put out a call and will have every available officer looking for Lacy. They said they owe us for everything we have done for them,” Storm sighed.

Nodding, I accepted that with gratitude. While I have always withheld a great relationship with the police, the fear of being caught up in Josh’s schemes kept me from going to them in the first place. Maybe my own stubbornness got in the way?

“Let’s go. I don’t care what goes down once we get there. I know most of you guys are scrapped with guns. All I ask is that Lacy is unhurt,” I demand.

Everyone nods as they jump on their bikes. We rev our engines and make our way out of the parking lot. I can only imagine what the locals are thinking as they see a group of bikers speeding down the road. If they are smart, they will get the hell out of our way. I’m on a mission and I won’t stop until I have Lacy back in my arms again.
