I threw a change of clothes into my backpack, checked that the house was secure then locked up and walked back out to Lucas who was straddling his bike.

Finally, Lucas turned into a long gravel driveway.

Lucas turned toward a large garage to the side of the property, bypassing the gathering crowd.

Surprisingly, there was a crowd but they gave us space and kept some distance. I wondered if Lucas was mentally communicating with them.

He led me into the massive building, there was a large open space in the centre with three long tables, long enough to fit around fifteen people on each side. I assumed those were for pack gatherings.

He guided me up some stairs to the right and along a hallway lined with doors.

"This is the communal building. The ground floor is for the whole pack to use but the upper two levels have rooms that people live in, including myself," he explained as we walked.

"You don't live in one of the houses?"

"I did, but then a young couple became pregnant, so I gave it to them and moved in here. I'd always planned to build another house when I found my mate anyway," he said, smiling at me.

I couldn't help but blush at that for some reason. He was going to build us a house. I hadn't even thought that far ahead yet.

"It's mostly single adult wolves that live in here. Some still live with their parents but others want the space."

It was a lot of information to absorb.

Lucas opened a door at the far end and revealed a large open studio apartment style room.

There was a large bed at one side with nightstands and a chest of drawers. On the other side of the room there was a small lounge chair with a bookshelf. A television was mounted on the wall above the shelves and there was a door in the opposite corner.

"There's a bathroom through that door if you need it," he said as he took my backpack. He pulled out his dirty shirt and tossed it in a hamper beside his bed.

Considering he's the Alpha, he doesn't live like a king and that was incredibly endearing. It showed me that he's humble and doesn't take more than he needs for himself.

"Now, let's take care of your needs quickly before dinner, shall we?" Lucas murmured and started stalking closer to me.

I backed up. "Yeah, about that… we're not doing that here."

"Because everyone will hear us!"

Lucas chuckled. "Baby, it's nothing they haven't heard before and the walls here are incredibly sound proofed, they'd have to be outside the door to hear us."

There was a knock at the door and I arched a brow at him. "See, ears everywhere," I pointed out.

Lucas sighed and walked to the door and opened it. "This better be good," he muttered to Drew who was standing on the other side with a startled expression.

"Uh… just letting you know that the food is being served, Alpha," Drew said and then scurried away.

"Oh, foods ready. I'm starving! Let's go eat," I said and quickly walked past him.

"This conversation is not over, Noah. I will have you this weekend," Lucas said with a warning growl in his voice that sent shivers up my spine and made my cock want to wake back up.
