5. Gabriel
Gabe guessed he didn't have much choice, so it was with more than a little trepidation that he led the demon to his car in order to head home. Once they were in the car, though, he realized he needed to let his brother and sister know who he was bringing home—it was sibling policy after Seraphina had brought home that hellhound—so he went to their group chat. He debated using the chat with Grams but decided not to; they didn't need the conversation filled up with her craziness. Usually he loved her outlandish behavior, but it was a little different when it was aimed directly at him.
Gabe:I'm giving you both fair warning. Grams tricked me into summoning a lust demon. I can't send him back to hell, so I'm bringing him home.
Wild, Fun Sibling:Awesome! You gonna jump his bones? Can I jump his bones? Should I invite some guys over and you can have him stop by my apartment?
Stick in the Mud:Ewww Ser. No, you are not using Gabe's lust demon. And why can't you send him back to hell? Do you need help getting his true name?
Gabe: No one is jumping anyone's bones. And I have his true name. Turns out Grams got me to summon a prince or something, and the revocation doesn't work. And Ser, did you change my contact names again???
Stick in the Mud: Well shit. Grams really did it this time. You have to keep him close. Do NOT let him out of your sight. I cannot be dealing with a loose lust demon in town. I have enough on my plate as it is.
Stick in the Mud:And I don't want to know what she labeled me as in your phone this time.
Gabe: What am I supposed to do about work? I can't babysit a demon all day.
Wild, Fun Sibling: I'll babysit him *wink face emoji*
Stick in the Mud:Idk on work, Gabe, but I can't bring him down to the station, and Ser cannot be trusted to watch him.
Wild, Fun Sibling: I resent that. Or do I resemble that? *thinking face emoji*
Gabe:You guys are no help. What am I supposed to do with him?
Wild, Fun Sibling:Get him to fulfill his job as a lust demon and get your freak on. Duh. *eggplant emoji* *water emoji* *wink face emoji*
Stick in the Mud: For once, I have to agree with Ser. It might be the only way.
Gabe sighed dramatically, turning toward the demon, who already had his seat belt on but was looking over Gabe's shoulder at the text thread.
"I think I like the wild, fun sibling. Stick in the mud seems accurate for the other one, though," Az stated.
"Seraphina has always been wild. Michael is all about being dependable. Total older sibling syndrome for him. Seraphina is actually really responsible, too, although she pretends otherwise. She just loves being outrageous. She must get it from Grams." Gabe muttered the last part, and Az just laughed.
Gabe sat for another minute, thinking. He guessed Ser and Mike were probably both right. He wasn't really interested, but he could probably manage to have sex of some type with the lust demon. If he had to. Because he couldn't miss work tomorrow.
With that thought in mind and an air of resignation, Gabe started the car and headed toward home. They weren't far, maybe ten minutes, and Az left him to his thoughts for the ride.
When they pulled in and parked, Gabe sighed again.
"It could be worse," Az said sympathetically. "I'm one of the fun ones, after all." With that, the demon undid his seat belt, opened his door, and headed toward the Victorian-style home that the siblings had bought together. Gabe scrambled out after him, getting ahead of him to unlock the front door.
The house had already been converted into three apartments when they bought it a few years ago, and with the yard and the prime location, it made sense for them all to use it as an investment property and live there together. Of course, the entire thing had been Michael's idea, and when he'd sat them down with spreadsheets and started talking about investment returns and tax breaks and all that, Seraphina had just asked where to sign.
Gabe had tried to pay attention, but the bottom line was that Mike was good at figuring that stuff out, and if he said it was a good idea financially, then it was. Besides, Gabe loved his siblings, and although he had been ready to get out on his own, he had also loved the idea of sharing a yard and seeing his siblings whenever he wanted. Plus, the property was close to Grams, and they didn't want to be too far from the woman who had raised them.
Mike had the top floor, and Seraphina took the bottom floor, despite Mike's arguing that she should not be on the ground floor as a single female. That had pissed Seraphina off something fierce, and she'd ended up knocking Mike flat on his ass with some martial arts move at the end of the argument, cementing her getting the ground floor. You didn't fuck with Seraphina. Gabe's apartment was on the middle floor.
Gabe led Az through the main front entrance and up the stairs to the second floor, where he unlocked his door and let Az in. Once they were in, Gabe led the demon to the living room.
"So, okay," Gabe muttered. "Do we both need to cum, or can it be just you? Because I could give you a blow job, and then you can go back to hell. If that would work." Gabe could feel himself turning red, and he finished on a sort of shrug.
Az stared at him, bemused.
"Um," Gabe sputtered out, "or, you know, if it has to be intercourse, we can do that. I have had sex before. With a man and with a woman. So I know how it works. And, um, yeah. I could top or bottom. I'm not, like, horny, or whatever, but I'm sure, you know, I could probably, um, get hard. With stimulation. Or whatever," Gabe finished off lamely.
His cheeks were hot and he was totally mortified. Especially since Az was literally just staring at him with a dumbfounded look on his face.
"You, my little human, are quite the conundrum," Az stated, and then he smiled at Gabe, turned around, and surveyed the living room. Gabe had a comfy couch and an oversized armchair, a coffee table, some bookshelves, and a TV mounted on the wall. Az gracefully sat himself on the couch.
"So, um, what are we doing?" Gabe asked unsurely.
Az sighed, but he was still smiling. Gabe had to admit, it was actually kind of a nice smile; the demon didn't seem so cocky and annoying at the moment. He almost looked affectionate to Gabe, which Gabe figured was probably not possible. He knew he was a pain in the ass when it came to sex—he'd had enough dates tell him some version of that or act in a way that let him believe it was true—so he couldn't figure out why a lust demon wasn't raging at him right about now.
"My dear human, I know I said it earlier, but I'll say it again. Lust is not lust if it isn't consensual. You are clearly not interested, and so a blowjob, or even intercourse, would not fulfill my duty as a lust demon. An orgasm from me is not required. An orgasm from you in the way of a purely physical response would also not fulfill my duty." Az leaned back as he finished talking, clearly making himself comfortable.
"Obviously, I have a role to play here. There must be something you lust after. My job is to discover what it is and provide you with an emotionally and physically satisfying experience. So until you're willing to share, you're stuck with me."
Gabe sat down on the chair that was angled toward the sofa. "Shit," he muttered.
"You'd rather be stuck with me than share what turns you on?" Az asked, leaning forward toward him. "Trust me when I tell you that I've seen and heard it all. Nothing will shock me."
Gabe rubbed the back of his neck, turning red again. "It isn't that, exactly," he answered. "It's just that, well, I'm not really sure what turns me on. I mean, I had sex with two people, and that turned me on, obviously. It was really good sex with both of them. But other than that?" Gabe sort of shrugged. "I don't know. I don't really see people as sexual beings. Sex just doesn't occur to me most of the time. I can't tell when people are flirting, and I overthink everything when I'm on a date. Or even when I'm kissing someone. So…" Gabe just shrugged again.
He couldn't believe he was telling all this to a lust demon, but it was easy to forget that Az was a demon. He looked so normal, and he also looked fascinated by hearing what Gabe had to say. Usually people thought he was weird if he tried to explain his sexuality, but Az wasn't looking at him like he was an oddball. The demon looked intrigued, if anything.
Az smiled at Gabe then. "Ah, I see. My work here is clear, then. We'll figure out what turns you on. We'll puzzle through why those two people were sexually satisfying and why others aren't. We'll explore your sexuality and learn what makes you horny and what pulls you out of your head."
Gabe just stared at Az, his mouth slightly open. They were gonna do what?
"Yes, this is going to be so much fun. Lots of talking about sex. Thinking about sex. Maybe watching some sex. And once we've figured it out, you'll understand your own sexuality better, and we'll provide you with an emotionally and physically satisfying experience that you'll know how to repeat. Perfect!" And the demon's grin got even wider.
"I'm assuming this is a one bedroom. You don't mind sharing the bed, do you? Obviously you can keep your hands to yourself, and I assure you I can as well. As for dinner, I don't technically need to eat, but I always look forward to a good meal when topside. Do you cook, or should we order out?" Az asked.
Gabe just sputtered. What on earth had he gotten himself into? Or, more accurately, what exactly had Grams gotten him into?
