12. Jett

The amount of pleasure I feel through the bond as Evangeline comes pushes me to the edge. I quickly switch to my camera and take a video as I stroke my cock faster. As her pleasure ebbs, I explode, cum shooting into the air and landing on my stomach. I moaned as I came and then grunted as I felt her come again from the feel of me coming. If I hadn’t drained my balls already, I knew that it could have easily turned into a relay, building each other higher and higher each time we came. I didn’t know sex could feel this good, and I hadn’t even touched her yet. The mate bond amplified our pleasure, and I couldn’t wait to experience it in person.

I sent the video to her, and as I recovered from my powerful orgasm, my dick twitched in response to her arousal as she watched it, trying valiantly to come back to life to satisfy her again.

So, should I file that away as something you’re into?

I already knew the answer to that based on how hard she had just come, but consent was vital, so I wanted to make sure.

Yes.

I grinned to myself. As soon as we reached the physical level of our relationship, it was gonna be game fucking on, baby.

You have no idea how fucking hard it is to keep myself from coming over right this minute to let my hound claim you!

“Hey, asshole,” Kase said through the door as he pounded on it once, “we’re leaving in fifteen minutes. Nap time is over.”

Sorry?

I shook my head at Evangeline’s response. Talking to her tonight was eye-opening and gave me a little more insight into why she was so determined to keep us at arm’s length. Unfortunately, the only way to convince her we wouldn’t walk away from her was to show her. And we couldn’t do that until she let us in. I had a feeling that we would have to wait a while before we got that opportunity.

Nothing to be sorry for, baby. Like I said earlier, we have all the time in the world. We’re about to head out to work on this case. Sweet dreams, and I will talk to you tomorrow.

Night. Be safe.

I smiled as I set my phone down and grabbed my shirt off the floor to wipe the cum off my stomach. Evangeline wanted us to be safe, meaning she cared, even if she tried to pretend she didn’t. That and knowing that she desired us was enough for me for now. I went to my closet and pulled out a deep blue dress shirt and black jeans. As I dressed, I tried to put thoughts of my mate out of my mind. I needed to get my head right if we were going to catch Zabiza. I pocketed my phone and pulled my hair into a top knot as I left my room.

“Took you long enough,” Rylan growled when I entered the living room.

I ignored his snarkiness. I knew he was feeling the pressure from Luce and wanted to close this case before Lucifer took matters into his own hands and replaced us. “I’m here now,” I replied. “Let’s go.”

I contemplated sharing my conversations with Evangeline with them as we transported to an alley a couple of blocks from the club but decided not to. Eventually, I’d share with them what she had told me, but I might keep our sexting session to myself. They didn’t need to know about every single interaction I had with our mate.

“Everyone remembers the plan?” Rylan asked as we approached the club.

“Yep,” I responded. “I’ll go around to the back of the building to cover the back door in case Zabiza tries to escape that way. I won’t go inside until you tell me to.” I didn’t understand why he expected Zabiza to try to get away on foot, considering he was a demon and could simply teleport anywhere he wished, but I wasn’t going to point that out.

“I’ll scope out the club to see if Zabiza is in there,” Kase replied.

“And I’ll be waiting near the front entrance,” Rylan said, reiterating the plan we had devised earlier.

Rylan took out his phone and opened a three-way call with me and Kase. I answered my phone and stuck the earbud I had brought with me in my ear. I went to the back alley and sank into the shadows across from the door to wait. Club music filtered through my earbud as Kase entered the club.

“Ok, I’m in,” Kase said. “So far, I’m not seeing him anywhere.”

“Try not to look too obvious as you search. Blend in with the crowd,” Rylan ordered.

“I know what I’m doing, Ry,” Kase replied without any bite in his tone.

“I’m sorry. I know you do. There’s just a lot at stake here,” Rylan apologized.

“We know, bro,” I replied. “We won’t let you down.”

“I’m still not seeing him,” Kase updated.

I watched the alley as we waited for Kase to check in. Almost appearing directly in front of me, Zabiza teleported into the alley. “He just got here,” I said quietly. I was hidden within the shadows, so I knew he couldn’t see or hear me, but I still felt more comfortable whispering. “Do you want me to take him? He’s alone.”

“No!” Rylan said quickly. “Do not engage. Do not approach. Kase, get out of there, now.”

“He’s going inside,” I informed them.

“Kase?” Rylan said.

There wasn’t a response, and I began to get nervous. Suddenly, the door flew open, and Kase emerged from the club. “Copy that. I had to hide in the crowds until he passed me. I snuck out through the back because it seemed like he was watching the entrance.”

“Copy. Meet you back at the house,” Rylan replied.

We teleported back home, and I heard the line cut out when Rylan ended the call. “What was that?” I asked as I tossed my phone on the table. “I thought we were supposed to take him tonight.”

“I thought of a better plan,” Rylan replied. “Now that we know where he is working out of, how he arrives, and what time, we can set up an ambush. He shouldn’t be able to escape the three of us together, and if we do it right, we can capture him and drag him back to hell as early as tomorrow.”

“That’s a much better plan than trying to corner him,” Kase replied.

“Works for me,” I said.

“Jett, were there any changes to Evangeline’s feelings tonight after we sent lemon juice and dinner to her?” Kase asked hopefully.

“Umm, kinda, but I don’t think in the way you hoped, though I don’t think it was all bad in the end,” I replied. “She got a bit depressed. It woke me up, so I texted her. After a little convincing, I got her to tell me what was wrong.”

“Why didn’t you tell us about this earlier?” Rylan demanded.

“Because I didn’t want us to be distracted when we were leaving,” I replied. “I planned to tell you about it when we returned, which is now.” I relayed my conversation with Evangeline to them, providing additional commentary on the emotions I had gotten from her as we talked.

“So she thinks that because she can care for herself, we won’t want her?” Kase clarified.

“That’s what it mostly boils down to,” I replied. “I could sense Evangeline’s underlying fear regarding the whole thing, but not just for herself. I think she’s worried about ruining our futures by allowing us to mate with her. It’s almost like, in her mind, us walking away is already a done deal.”

“Well, how the hell do we make her see that we aren’t going to do that if she won’t let us see her?” Rylan asked, growling in frustration.

“By doing exactly what we’ve been doing,” Kase replied, grinning.

“What the fuck is so funny about this?” I asked.

“Don’t you see? We know what we have to do now, and it’s as simple as what we would have always done. Support her, show up for her, and show her that she can count on us to be there for her when she needs us without expecting her to change for us and be someone she isn’t. We’re on the right track!”

I chewed on my lip to keep from smiling as my mind turned back to my masturbation session with Evangeline. We were definitely on the right track.

“What’s that smile for?” Rylan asked suspiciously.

“What smile?” I asked as my smile grew.

“That fucking smile. What did you do?” he demanded.

“I’m sure I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I replied smugly.

I met Kase’s eyes, and they dropped to my phone on the table and then back to me. There was a second pause before we both lunged for my phone. Kase got there first and teleported away with it before I could get it back.

“Kase!” I growled. I jumped out of my chair, tipping it over, and shot out of the dining room in search of him.

“Well, well, well,” Kase said, walking down the hallway toward me. “You’ve certainly been a naughty boy, haven’t you?”

“Let me see that,” Rylan said. Kase tossed him my phone over my head, and I groaned as he started to read my messages with Evangeline.

“You’re a real bastard,” Rylan finally said as he handed me my phone. “Enjoy yourself?”

“Yes,” I grinned. “And I’m not even a little bit sorry.” I sat on the couch and grinned at them.

“Lucky bastard,” Kase muttered as he sat on the other end.

“I have to say, I appreciate that you got confirmation on the whole hound sex thing,” Rylan commented as he stretched out in the armchair. “I had my suspicions, but it’s good to know.”

“She’s totally into it,” I grinned. “You should have felt how hard she came just from me talking about it.”

“One day we fucking will,” Kase sighed wistfully.

My hound stirred inside me, reacting to Kase’s words. Yes, one day, we would get everything we ever wanted. And you better fucking behave yourself and shift back after, fuckhead, I said to him.

The next night, we were back in the alley, hiding in the shadows while waiting for Zabiza to arrive. The day had been relatively uneventful. Evangeline checked in with us in the morning like usual, but I could sense through the bond that she felt a little embarrassed about last night. I found myself sending calming vibes through our mate bond off and on all day as her anxiety spiked.

“How is she now?” Rylan asked.

“Sleeping,” I replied.

“Maybe you pushed her too far yesterday,” he said.

“I don’t think so,” I replied. “I think she’s struggling with the taboo nature of her desires.”

“Well, she is an angel. I’m sure plenty of things might pop up that cause her pause,” Kase reasoned. “She’ll work through it; we will help her accept that there isn’t anything to be embarrassed about.”

I nodded in agreement. “And if she decides it isn’t a line she wants to cross, so be it.”

“Agreed,” Rylan said. “We won’t pressure her into doing anything she isn’t comfortable with.” He checked the time on his phone. “Let’s get into position, it’s almost time.”

Kase moved across the alley beside the door to wait while Rylan and I spread out a little more to better cover the ends of the alley. The plan was for Rylan and me to grab Zabiza when he appeared while Kase got the collar we brought onto him. The collar would cut off his powers and keep him from teleporting. We would need to move quickly because we only had one shot at this.

I didn’t dare breathe as Zabiza appeared in the alley. He looked around cautiously, the same as he had the night before, and then stepped toward the club door. I looked at Rylan, and he nodded. Together, we moved through the shadows, hidden from sight, toward Zabiza. Kase moved forward. Just as we were about to grab Zabiza, the demon suddenly froze. My hands grasped smoke as he teleported.

“Son of a bitch,” Rylan growled.

Zabiza materialized several feet away from us and laughed. “Did you really think it would be that easy? You’re going to have to try harder than that to catch me. Tell Lucifer I said hello, and I’ll see him soon.” Zabiza left a cloud of black smoke in his wake as he teleported again.

“Shit,” I swore.

This was bad. Very bad. We might just pay for this fuck up with our freedom and our chance to be with Evangeline.
